    Another nice review, Heather! Looked really peaceful. We've been experiencing that excessive heat here in NJ.

    Glad you’re doing more videos. We are in Modesto in the Central Valley. We just started really camping after getting a little bigger trailer with a bathroom ☺️. You’re videos are the most helpful out there in helping us determine where we want to go! Super informative and always answers any questions I might have. Keep ‘em coming!

    • @TravelSmallLiveBig

      Awesome to hear! Bathrooms are definitely needed at this point - one campground further North still didn’t have their bathrooms open, but had porta-potties. That’s just not good in 100 degrees 🥵🤢
      This campground isn’t that far from you, but going when it’s cooler would be more enjoyable! We are heading to Oregon, so will be posting some videos from our time there. Thanks for the kind words!

      @@TravelSmallLiveBig Yes I've heard about the bathroom situations! Since we got our trailer in May, we didn't have a chance to really book any sites for the summer. We enjoy fall camping most of all. Might just make our way down there! Looking forward to Oregon ones as well. We lived in Medford for 10 years, very familiar and want to camp our way up there when visiting family next.

      @@burningblueskies2266 summer is great in Oregon when we can get a little elevation or be on a creek. We just got set up in a pretty campground with water close by!

      And when it’s a little cooler 🥵 We have been lucky and in our Oregon & Washington stays haven’t had smoke for a few weeks. Blue sky - yay!

    I can't wait for your next chapter. How does it feel to be on land all the time? The AC must have felt wonderful. It looks like your site was a bit shaded which is nice. You had the place to yourself. It looks like For $15 a night, it is hard to beat. It is definitely surprising that fires were allowed :/ Lovely views, perfect pairing with wine ;D Thank you for the tips, Heather!

      Hi! We’ve been mainly on dry land since then end of January and have been loving it! It’s great to see new places. Our site was awesome, but it was during that crazy heatwave, so we stayed inside and I read a lot 😂

    I live near pine flat past the marina and have a view of the lake...yes it gets really hot here even at night...i wouldn't camp here in a tent...i recommend Shaver Lake Dinky Creek area it's much cooler...you guys did a wonderful job of showing the campground...and to anyone who does come up here...be safe...i can't count how many times accidents and drownings we have seen and heard from the locals...Have fun on your travels

      You must have a beautiful view! How is is early spring & late fall? I will have to check out the Dinky Creek area. We had reservations awhile back at Shaver Lake, but then there were some fires so we couldn’t go. Thanks for the nice comment and especially the reminder to be safe. We lived on the ocean for many years so completely understand & appreciate that!

      @@TravelSmallLiveBig Spring and fall is perfect weather...sometimes it gets really cold at night though...early spring you can still see the snow on the mountains...it's a beautiful view...Wishon Reservoir and Courtright reservoir are also very good camping grounds...they are located about 20 miles from dinky creek and have spectacular views

    another place I'm investigating for next year....and you've been there! CG looks quite empty. A/C while camping boggles my mind as a tent camper. :) Well..this would be a spring only place for me...so no heat problems. :) Wonder if it's more crowded then? I imagine it might be a bit more green after winter rains? Maybe the trees will look more "talkative." Heheheheh

    • @TravelSmallLiveBig
      @TravelSmallLiveBig  2 года назад +1

      Ha ha! Well we are probably older than you and with a black dog… it was really, really hot when we were there. Definitely a spring spot. Hopefully greener for you when you go!

    • @earthcomedy
      @earthcomedy 2 года назад

      @@TravelSmallLiveBig I would want A/C if it was 100F too...it's just a tent vs RV thing. +/- to both styles. I'd RV part time if I had the $$ for it I reckon. I'll have to rely on optimized trip planning, dispersed / BLM / less $$ sites, and unconventional methods and int'l options.

      @@earthcomedy I hear ya! Our trailer is our home. We can be pretty frugal, but at the same time try to find nice spots with a view or water. It’s all good as long as we are getting “out there” 🌲🏔🦬

    • @TravelSmallLiveBig
      @TravelSmallLiveBig  3 года назад

      We haven’t, but only being at 1000’ in elevation, it would probably be ok. I don’t think it would be too cold, although we got frost on our windshield in Lodi at Christmas time a few years back!
