The Vaadwaur were once a major threat to where they weren’t even concerned with the Borg at the height of their power. With the Borg no longer the dominant power in the Delta Quadrant, it’s be nice to see the Vaadwaur have taken over.

Missed the biggest DS9-esque ones: 1) How/when does Sisko come back from the Prophets? 2) What happens to Garak post-Dominion War? 3) Is the Female Founder still in a Federation prison, being re-evaluated every 5o years and 3b) Are there any other extant Changelings after the events of Picard season 3, and what happens to them?

I believe the books have garek becoming the leader of the new cardassian union and he helps to rebuild their civilization. That would be a great storyline to build on tho. Unfortunately well probably never see that storyline on screen just due to the sheer amount of makeup it would take for so many characters every day and cardassians aren't a huge fan favorite. Altho I always felt that race had so much unused potential

I'd like to see two things:
What happened in the Mirror Universe after "The Emperor's New Cloak" (DS9). Sure the rebels captured Regent Worf, but what happened after that? The Klingon-Cardassian Alliance was still out there and the rebels were still on Terok Nor like a sitting duck.
I would have liked to see the Earth-Romulan War. Theoretically, this could have happened during ST Enterprise had the series ran a few more seasons.

Jerati Borg vs. Dominion Borg. Did Jerati’s voluntary assimilation Borg fight the traditional Canon Borg? Or just wait for Voyager “Endgame” to decimate them and then take over. Not to mention the revelation in Picard that they had united with the Dominion. Did they ally with the Dominion or did they assimilate the Great Lake? And did this lead to them fighting back against the Jerati faction? There are so many ways this could go, not to mention the Picard storyline launch of Queen Jerati back to the Delta Quadrant “Voyager” in reverse. And who or what opened that singularity at the end of Picard Season 2?

I do like the premise and thought it was going to be an endgame part of S03, There are definite logistical problems with it.
1: The borg rarely negotiate. While there is little evidence it seems highly unlikely the borg would be able to assimilate changelings.
2: There really is no dominion borg. Its just the remains of the Borg after Insaneway got done with them. They were clearly on the verge of death and really the queen was the only thing of power left and even she was barely holding on. A fight between the two of them would be over in an instant.

I feel like… I’d have a long additional list than these 10. No knocking on these 10… I have the same questions about those story threads.
    1) What happened to the people of Tarkana 4? Beta Canon talks about these people as WW3 colonists who never gained a utopian view of the universe. That’s interesting.
    2) What happened to Thomas Riker?
    3) Was Iliana Gamor ever found?
    4) What happened to Neelix with his Talaxian colony?
    5) What happened to Rugal from DS9? Great beta canon novel about that character.
    6) What happened to Savik?
    7) How did the Pathfinder project evolve after Voyager came home?
    8) Did Captain Maxwell join the Maquis after he was taken into custody after his incident in “The Wounded”?
    9) What species were assimilated in the Delta Quadrant after Voyager passed through their systems (Seasons 1-3)?
    10) What happened to Maquis survivors after the Dominion War?
    11) How well has Rom managed the Ferengi Alliance?
    12) How did Quark franchise his business?
    13) Did Bajor enter the Federation? If so, how?
    14) Did Dax stay a counselor, or like the Beta Canon, did her personality continue to evolve & change as the personalities between Dax & Ezri weren’t finished mixing by the end of Season 7?
    15) Did O’Brien like being a professor @ Starfleet Academy?
    16) Did Martok become a fair and just chancellor?
    17) What happened to Vash?
    18) What happened to Kassidy & Baby Sisko #2?
    19) Did Jake react to his dad disappearing exactly like the story “The Visitor”, or did he react differently?
    20) I’d love to see more stories explaining the Remans.
    21) I’d love to see more stories explaining Deltans.
    22) I’d love to see more stories explaining the LaForge family & Mrs LaForge.
    23) I’d love to see how Cardassians have changed after the Dominion War.

With the latest attempt from Changelings to infiltrate Starfleet, it seems only right to have Odo return at some point. DS9 mentioned the Breen wear refrigeration suits despite their home planet being a tropical paradise. My headcanon is that they evolved on an ice covered planet and are used to harsh conditions but a runaway greenhouse effect warmed their planet beyond what's habitable... for _them._ To us it's tropical paradise. To them it's a heatwave apocalypse. Hence the cooling suits.

I once read a comic where Voyager came up against a Doomsday Machine in the Delta Quadrant. I can't remember any more than that from it but it at least added the possibility that they were created by a race in the Delta Quadrant. It also adds credence to the theory of them having been created to fight the Borg. As for the Short Treks, I think they're definitely canon as two of the Discovery ones (the one with Po and the one with Captain Georgiou first meeting Saru) have been referenced/followed-up in the main show.

As for Sela: I've always wondered if she really wasn't alt-timeline Tasha herself, brainwashed by the Tal Shiar and only let out in recent times, altered as she was, because her information and knowledge was hard to make Tasha yield up, so the persona of her 'daughter' was created to subconsciously overcome her resistance.

I'm sure y'all have mentioned before the real need to see more Savvik. Either in the movie era or as an elder of some sort in the (theoretical) Legacy era.
I have a few things I'd like to see SNW touch on - young Gary Mitchell (honestly, think it would have been more fun for him to be doing the stuff Kirk is set to do in S2), the fall of Garth of Izar, something having to do with Matt Decker, etc. But I'm not sure that fits the concept of your question.

Aside from Captain Seven ( a must-be new show) and the Breen (potential bad-guys for Capt 7), none of the others "screamed". Rather, many of the Voyager clips reminded me why I gave up on Voyager. The stories were so outlandish that no amount of "suspension of disbelief" could provide the patience to sit through them.

I genuinely do not want to know more about The Breen. The thing which makes them so interesting for me is all the mystery.
Deep down, sure I would love to know "Are they really different species all pretending to be one? If not, then what do those suits do? Are the suits designed to keep their bodies cool because they're from an ice planet or to keep their bodies hot because it's a fire planet? The noises they make, is that their language or are they using a reverse-universal translator to keep others from knowing what they're saying?" As well as many others that I would add if this comment weren't already too long.
In reality though, what I truly need is for it to remain a mystery. What makes the Breen so interesting for me is the mystery and intrigue of if what we hear is true or just all part of a con to keep people from knowing the truth about them. What would be better? Forever living in ignorance of what they're really like or learning that it's all a lie, the Breen actually are a bunch of cowards that try to be creepy because in reality they're a bunch of big angry teddy bears?

There's one HUGE storyline that's been left unfinished- Voyager's return home. The borg queen clearly said to Admiral Janeway- "Captain Janeway is about to die. If she has no future, you will never exist, and nothing you've done here today will happen." If that's the case, then in 2404, Janeway MUST complete the loop and return to the delta quadrant or, as the queen said, nothing in Endgame will have happened. I know that the Admiral Janeway from Endgame came from a timeline that's been replaced, but it would completely eliminate the tension in the final act of Endgame if that didn't matter, so I assume the queen knew that the 'new' Admiral Janeway must take the place of the original in the timeline to prevent the timeline reverting to Voyager's original longer trip home.

The return of the Iconians. They are mentioned in Discovery that Starfleet by the 32nd century have spoken to them so they weren't extinct. What do they look like? In 200k years since their escape from their homeworld have they become almost technological gods? Do they want to reclaim their old Empire/homeworld? That would put them immediately into conflict with the Federation and Romulans giving Iconia is slap bang inside the Neutral Zone.

    There's two of them that I'd love to see get a continueation(?) & I'll even say why with them;
1-Captain Seven of Nine: I want to see this because she's such a beautiful character she's gone through so much as a character that it's hard not to love her for it and because of what all she's gone through she'd make an amazing Captain to watch the rest of the universe through.
2-The dude from the Calypso short: This guy is one of my favorite actor's and to see the universe from his point of view would be a breath of fresh air until they put out a new Season of Discovery for use anyway.

There are many stories of many worlds that have gone untold. While Lower Decks has at times visited legacy worlds, it's far from the show's core focus.
But that's the real thing about Star Trek, everything is open-ended. They visit planets, have an influence, then leave with the hope that their influence has been for the best. And I would say that TNG showed some of the earliest instances where Starfleet's meddling was not looked upon favorably in retrospect. Hugh was mad at Picard for using him as a means to attack the Borg, pinning Lore's control over the individualised Borg as a direct consequence of that action. The Bajorans were also not fans of the Federation, as those who escaped their planet weren't treated equally in Federation space. (Picard learning of their plight and many other things related to the Occupation was what helped turn this around. He and the crew of the Enterprise-D exposed a Cardassian attack that was framed on Bajorans. This resulted in the Federation using their treaty with the Cardassians to free Bajor.)
Anyway, there should be more of a focus on Second Contacts. There should be more shout-outs to legacy characters. And we definitely should also get back to boldly going where no one has gone before.
