@@TheCampervanBuilder Amen! I got it running great but I lost tack of time and it ran out of fuel and no matter how many times I purge the line and restart it it won't ignite and heat up. I haven't seen any videos about running them out of fuel. Thanks in case you see this!
Dribble a few drops of diesel into the pump before priming for the first time! This will keep the pump lubricated until the fuel reaches it! A long dry purge may be enough metal on metal to damage the pump! Then you might want to help the pump on its inital purge by lifting the tank up (above the heater).
This was very useful. Thanks. Mine should arrive in a week or so. Bit worried about fitting it but once you upload your how to video , I'm sure it will help. New subscriber for your effort. Thanks again.
Mine came with a flexible green fuel line that I heard aren't as good as that hard white fuel line that you have in your video. is it PVC tubing or Nylon, and do you know where I could order it, thank you. Thanks for the info!
Mine controller looks different the 3 buttons are on the left and the two buttons (ok) are on right. When I hold both bottom buttons it doesn’t go into prime mode
New all in one Didn't work Pump clicks 7x quickly then slower for a couple minutes, then heater gives an error code 8. Fuel and air not moving forward, Just jerking in the lines. After an hour of resetting and trying to purge, the diesel dripping from the exhaust
my heater has same prime key combo, the pump sounds same, but no fuel every moves in the line even if I prime it x10, if i just power on to start it goes through its startup routine then ends with E10 code, I manually filled the line+filter but the few bubbles in line seem to never move makes no difference, so believe your video is telling me my pump is defective - is that even possible as the pump click according to other videos is the pump moving to its metal on metal position, its a new ebay unit mounted in case with handle - should have cranked it up when received but waited too long seller not into support.
I do everything you're explaining but my pump doesn't come on any ideas why could it be a faulty pump I've had the heater just about a year now used it just winter last the pump just will not any ideas would be gratefully thank you
Disconnect the fuel line from the heater and fire up the heater as much as possible. When it starts - crank it on full blast and let it run until the smoke clears out or for an hour or so.
shake the line, change its orientation, tap or flick the line, make sure the feed is in plenty of diesel so its not sucking air, change the orientation of the filter, that should help
Would you know why the fuel pump would work just fine in the priming stage ("H on": pump moves fluid and, occasional bubbles that move through the line ) and then when I tried to actually start it the pump starts acting up, and intead of pushing fluid through the line, it just bounces back and forth until it only pumps air/doesnt pump at all, even in the priming stage(still clicking)? There are no bubbles in the line going to the pump, and i bought a second pump thinking the first was faulty
how is your pump positioned? It needs to put vertical or at a slight angle with the outflow pointing UP. Also, what kind of fuel line are you using? it is soft and rubbery, or hard? You need the hard fuel line. Let me know some more details and I can help you more
@@dansmith6990 are you on the chinese diesel heater page on facebook? I can link my (giant) post of everything I've tried etc. Otherwise I can screenshot and email/etc it to you.
it depends on the car and whats underneath where you need to get the pipes through, anywhere should be fine really as long as there's clearance to get the pipes through the floor
I missed this setting up my heater. It doesn't work when I press OK and Down together. Just wondering if it can still be properly primed because I still have air bubbles?
I added an old socket on bottom of my pickup tube into diesel tank to hold it down as the springy hose can float up sometimes. It'll work good once primed up, it should work pushing the two buttons as I just did mine. If not you can try to fire it up on full temp which will make pump faster or pull the fuel line from pump and suck a little till it's at the pump then it'll start up. Doesn't taste nice though, some people use a turkey baster to suck it through as well. Don't let it run dry once primed and you'll have no problem
Just having this problem myself - the heater ran out of fuel during the night and shutdown. Solved by removing power to the unit and then switching back on. Ok and Down Button together has given me H setting and the up button has now set the pump into priming mode.
Who else watched this at Midnight and now has heat? Thank you for being quick and simple.
That would be me, my friend
Holy crap this is helpful! Couldn't figure out the Chinese prime instructions from the manual.
Glad I could help
Excellent!
I just started my diesel heater a few minutes ago thanks to your start-up tutorial...
Thanks again amen for sharing!

Nice one, only one who mentions how to end the prime👍👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
Everything looks identical to my machine, but pressing ok and down does nothing. My problem is that the pump isn't working.
i had to tap my pump on a piece of aggressive and loosen up the inside then it worked again
I’ve never primed mine. Haven’t felt the need to

Thanks, the install video should be on over the weekend if not sooner
Thank you for that tidbit of information
Thanks so much for showing how to use this for priming :)

my heater wont prime i have tried the two buttons at the bottom but i dont get any thing come up like in your video
Thanks. Those slippers look comfy 😁
they are
I have Heat again, thanks mate.
No problem 👍
Thank you. I got the pump going again, could not find the instructions.
Glad it helped
Thanks for the help mate!
No problem 👍
I see you have the problem my heater had, the fan catching the neck of the intake. I had to leave off the intake grille to stop the noise.
Yes same here, but I got a partial refund after informing the seller which made it even cheaper so not complaining lol
Do you think this can be plumbed into the actual fuel.tank rather than having a separate can within the van ?
Yes it can be fed off either
Hi. Do you know why the little fuel filter is only half full?
Brilliant, cheers!
Cheers good help
Thanks so much!!
I see your control panel has the same issue as mine. The outer casing of the wires is a bit short, looks tacky.
But my heater pumps about twice, there is an air bubble between the pump and the unit.
Mine controller looks different the 3 buttons are on the left and the two buttons (ok) are on right. When I hold both bottom buttons it doesn’t go into prime mode
There are a few different models, I can only advise on the models I've used

Thanks for the Honda on info. I’ll have to work my way up to this ...one day
Ty couldn't mine to light. On mine it the light button is to purge
thanks !!
Hi we’ve just tried this several times but it’s not working. Do u have any other suggestions. We must have a bubble somewhere
sometimes it will take repeated priming to get enough fuel to the heater, once primed its ok though

Join Facebook heater group, they can probably help more
What would you do for an over prime situation? I had fuel coming out of my air inlet pipe and now I’m wondering how to fix it.
Disconnect the fuel line from the heater and fire up the heater as much as possible. When it starts - crank it on full blast and let it run until the smoke clears out or for an hour or so.
Do i have to reprime everytime i run out of gas or is this initail start up only?
Depends how dry the line is ran, if you use all the fuel in the fuel lines as well as the storage tank, then probably yes
My Name is Diezel
Just ordered one, does it matter where you put the pump, close to the unit or closer to the fuel source?
I would say close to the fuel source so it doesn't have to suck as much air to prime the line
If the bubbles aren't leaving... what do you do?
shake the line, change its orientation, tap or flick the line, make sure the feed is in plenty of diesel so its not sucking air, change the orientation of the filter, that should help
Nice bit of kit m8
seems to be so far
If this dont work, mine was power on then press setting button more than 5 times for 60 second purge
so what do u do if u only have a basic non led controleer ??

A question .does your fuel filter every show full or does it just go to the level of the intake and out take,?
Thanks
depends on its orientation
the information you came for is at 0:35
OK and down doesn't do anything on mine and it's the exact same controller :(
i have the same problem
Hi does it matter what angle you have the fuel filter at?
No
Best to angle everything so bubbles don’t get sick.
@@snapdragogon69 ya sick bubbles are a bitch
Do you think you'll be possible to fit one of these to a car?
yes I don't see why not
@@TheCampervanBuilder plumbing would I be able to put it in my spare wheel well and then drill a hole through the floor pan for the exhaust Port
it depends on the car and whats underneath where you need to get the pipes through, anywhere should be fine really as long as there's clearance to get the pipes through the floor
@@TheCampervanBuilder when you say pipes is it just exhaust and fuel. Thank you so much for your input btw
the 2 pipes under the nit for air intake and exhaust for the combustion
