There is a mod on modthesims that allows you to make your own pottery. I think at level 4 or 5 you can sell it to a museum.

The new house was definitely the perfect touch!
A couple of things:
Avon was totally an MLM and a money sink for a lot of families so I think it's kinda accurate that she's not making a lot of money off of it? I kind of like the idea that she keeps trucking along as is, not making a whole lot of money. To make things feel more Avon-y and less store-y though, I've got a couple of ideas.
1) instead of having the storefront and depending on people to buy it that way, you could either a) have the storefront but when barbie greets the customers, if they get a good first impresion then you can say they bought something and cheat the money. if they get a bad/no first impression then they don't buy anything. b) no storefront, but you use this as an excuse to get barbie out of the house (which a lot of women did) and take her out on the town to meet people. same deal, good first impression they buy something, no/bad first impression then they don't buy anything.
2) AVON PARTIES!! you could throw dinner parties (or any party really) and then at the end of the party, roll a dice. if she gets a bronze, she only gets to flip a coin. if she gets silver, she can roll a 6 sided die. if she gets a gold, she can roll a bigger die. at the beginning of each party, you can decide the price of the package she's selling at that particular party and multiply it by whatever number she gets. this way, she gets to keep doing her avon but can focus her everyday life on her kids. she can also throw them at other people's houses, which happened all the time and would make perfect sense bc i think the next gen is business barbie? also: taking her kids/inviting other kids and then shutting them all upstairs or outside lolol
3) cash app, like willard, but this time it's avon! and we can place orders in the comments. and only the highest rated comment gets to send in their order.
