This was one of the better games of the DS era. Once more, Capcom has abandoned good IP in favour of just milking the nostalgia. They did it with the battle network series and now they do it with Ghost Trick. Don't them fool you into thinking that they will make additional games for these loved series, no matter how well they sell these remakes.
It got said, that if the Remaster sells well, they might consider to make a second Game. But Shu Takumi already said, that this would be a hard task, since as of now he doesn't have any ideas for a Sequel.
@@FabianWrightIt doesn't help that there are literally no lose threads left. Everything is resolved in the end. If there's a sequel, the writer has to make everything from scratch.
Why support it for a sequel to something with great closure when you could support it to get Shu Takumi or other story games from Capcom have more of a shot?
I love Ace Attorney but not a single one of them more than Ghost Trick, so as much as I like more of both, a new IP getting a digital release would be fantastic too or being included as a bonus with a future Ace Attorney.
In the case of Mega Man, we have been getting decent results since we started with NES ports with bonus modes but ended up with GBA and DS installments with extras including crossover/missing content/speedrun stuff/online not to mention positive signs which make MMX10 seem likely (if not MM10 if MM9 did well).
Battle Network similarly had closure but I'm sure they'd explore a remake to get another chance someday. The original MM games and X have been remade a few times.
Still, I'm so happy it was remastered and marketed. I don't doubt they'll never make a remake, but this is more coverage than I was ever hoping for.
i don’t think i want another sequel for Ghost Trick to be honest. It is a nice little package of a game that is perfect on its own. Having another game like Ghost Trick but not related to it by Shu Takumi is better for me
