I know we wouldn't have Foreigner without the great Lou Graham, but something about Kellys voice just does it for me

Yes , back in the day ,LOU WAS GREAT , BUT AFTER HIS HEALTH FAILED AND HAD TO STEP DOWN, THE OTHER GUYS HAD TO GO ON , MAKE A LIVING, PUT FOOD ON THEIR TABLE .MICK THE GROUP OWNER ,MAN WHO FORMED THE GROUP, DID AND MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE AND HIRED KELLEY .HES STILL THE MAN FOR THE JOB. WITH NO DISRESPECT TO LOU.
He really gives a great sound to their music

That would be correct. The man who did that sax solo was 80 at the time Mr Junior Walker, Was lucky enough to have heard him play in my Jazz class at Cal State Northridge in 1981...Those notes were not even on any musical charts ,just the creation of Legendary Jazz musician Junior Walker. Getting tuned up to see them next week! Downright SICK!
Legendary Soul musician Junior Walker, the notes are altissimo and are written above the stave, but some are very difficult to master.
The original on their studio version, JR Walker, would have been proud of him .

With this intro "Urgent" was enriched as one of the most iconic themes of Foreigner. The quality of the recording makes this song more beautiful. Bluestein and Tichy are great musicians who contribute a lot in the Foreigner presentations.

It was one of my first Lovly Songs in the 80s and it is till now! At this time I thought, music will go on like this - but I failed. Songs like urgent - and in the 80s there were many from this quality - will be played forever. Most of the songs of today are like a cheeseburger: it’s ok, but you will don’t remember and in a few days you will have completely forgotten that you have one.
How can people in the audience just stand there? I am rocking out at home.....

It could be the venue. The venue I saw them at was terrible for standing and dancing.

Also, there are several tunes that Kelly is singing in a lower than the original key, ... because it's too high for him, you better check it out. ....... and what about the style and all those ad-libs he's using during the performances ?? those are originally created by Lou.

They both have unreal voices. Kelly has more range. Lou has the intense raw voice. Both awesome in their own right

Absoutley agree. Without Kelly Hansen we would not be able to enjoy Foreigner performing today as Mic even stated. Kelly is the voice of Foreigner today as was Lou in the beginning. I love this lineup.
