I don't think the crowd actually understood what they were hearing. One of the best live performances I've seen - take a bow, ladies and gents....
Prince's Trust crowd 🙈 I firmly believe you're 💯 correct!
looks like about 50% were not even born as FGTH started... for them it may be just like an ordinary concert but for us "old bags" ...I`m staring at the monitor eyes wide open, smiling and really enjoyning this like a little girl in disney land! The performance, soundpower and voice are pure perfection!
That Red headed girl was grooving away she knew what she was listening to.
i cant believeit either lol , amazinginly awesome !
They should have had scenes from the original video playing on that big screen.
As a drum fanatic from the 70s I can’t believe just how phenomenal this is live. I turn 64 this year and this got me moving like nothing else. Absolutely incredible. If you can’t hit the like button perhaps you need therapy!💪💪
IM 63 and spot on - amazing
@@tonybennett1462So great to know l am not the only one.
It''s an absolute classic. Never gets old.
@@1gillianblair That is so true. I actually searched around and got the dvd of the concert l thought it was that good.
Ryan Molly WAS PUT ON THIS EARTH TO SING THOSE 3 SONGS that night!!! The band was superb, RYAN was superb, = 100000000000% PERFECTION
Relax...Two Tribes...and?
Ryan is adorable ..
@@wgtkdrtgwsm2332 Pleasuredome
@@wgtkdrtgwsm2332 'Welcome to the Pleasure dome' was the third song.
Would like to have seen Paul Rutherford on lead vocals, to be honest.
These guys were DECADES ahead of their time!! Classics like this are timeless and will remain so! They’ll continue to remain ‘Valid!’ and fill ANY dance floor… ANYWHERE on the globe! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Trevor has left the room.
That song is amazing BUT that drummer was superb !
The sexiest song of the 80’s 🤪
And the guy is sexy to. 😊
Never been a fan of switching out lead singers BUT he killed it!! ❤❤❤
Paul still looks and sounds great
How times change. It was banned in the 80s, now they're performing at the Prince's Trust!
Takes me straight back to 1985 when I arrived back in UK after 4 years working in KSA. Frankie, Propaganda and Grace Jones, all produced by Trevor. My God, we knew what music was back then!! #goodolddays
Ryan Molloy, what a performance. Brilliant voice that captivates the song perfectly!
Who can't listen and watch that video only one time?
legendaey band of the 80s !
@@neilmacdonald4913but this lead singer isn’t him! Maybe the band, but this guy is creepy!
@@01chittockpričaš gluposti. Ryan Molloy je fenomenalan.
The '80's, the best time to be young and alive..........
Unless you caught incurable anti immune deficiency syndrome
@@ArseneJenga aren't you just a glass half full? I'm sorry about your diagnosis.
I'd go back the 80's in a heartbeat
Absolutely 💯
💯 We were blessed to enjoy that era! There is NO music now.
The lead singer is gorgeous..
They should have regrouped with him. He's eye candy here.
Never thought I'd think a guy in makeup and 1/4 of a shirt would be hot but here we are!
@@carmenhorton8066 No Doubt.
I could keep that gorgeous creature busy all night 😮❤
@@carmenhorton8066😂Nailed that one girly and I’m here for it!
Produced by Trevor Horn says it all... Perfection needs no definition!
Ryan killed it....Really good.
Trust Trev to keep these things alive.
I was a studio guitar player in my youth. When asked who my influences were I said "Trevor Horn, Trevor Horn, Trevor Horn". The Big Picture.
The sound of my graduate years…
BTW, around 1990 I unknowingly called mr. Horn late in the evening, we were short of a reel of 1/2“ tape… The phone went “…Trevor speaking?” I went… gobsmacked…
Our manager and co-producer were old colleagues of mr. Horn, no names dropped. They knew I was a huge fan, and they _really_ got me there. Well, a short unreal conversation, and the tape reel arrived by courier after 15 minutes. Mixes done by 06 next morning, just made my flight back to Oslo.
I never got to thank him, and the busy producer will of course not remember this tiny story. So - Thanks, mr. Horn, 34 years late…👍
That's wonderful!
Malloy shear brilliance. Such a far cry from being the other Frankie as in valley! Kudos to you man.
Absolutely majestic. The song is just as powerful as it was back in 1983.
Perfect word for it. Majestic.
I will never get enough of these guys! #totallove
Loved seeing the documentary about how they found Ryan Molloy......and they nailed it with this guy!!
Maravilhoso vocalista , canta maravilhosamente bem , e ótima presença de palco ,❤❤❤❤❤❤
WOW!!! That was absolutely incredible. Every single bit of it was as the original which i love! I hate it when the live performance is changed slightly. Bravo, fantastic 👏👏👏👏👏
Dare i say he sings this even better than when it first came out brilliant. !!! Loved it when it first came out. F*****g brillant
TRUE.
quel talent !!! quelle magnifique musique ! ! ! quelle magnifique orchestration !!! La musique aujourd'hui est à des décennies de cette qualité largement en avance sur son temps En un mot MAGNIFIQUE ! ! !
This is one song I always crank up in the car and sing along.
WOW WOW WOW!!! Fabulous performance
This group of Guys. ❤ Should have continued together. They seemed to enjoy each other. They are hilarious together. And the energy is Palpable. Could you imagine the Dance Music they could have Generated. Spectacular Performance Gentlemen. I'm So Glad You All did this. And continued Good Fortune and Happiness in Your Lives. Thank You.❤😊
Ryan Molloy totally brilliant ! What a voice, what a body
I heard he had less than two weeks to prep for this performance, as Holly Johnson's replacement--- that's wild!
There's a video on RUclips of singers doing auditions for this but he was bang on
Yes, the voice , body & makeup! Damn! 🥵!
Ryan... ah the Taboo days
@@lipstattooalmost seems laughable now compared to what’s being played, right!
Great track indeed, EPIC memories, unforgettable 🎉❤🎉
Been a fan of this track since it got white hot on the charts and MTV back in the day; it's still delicious with that throbbing synth base pulse, and Ryan Molloy is outstanding here (that voice, charisma, body ... and brilliant eye makeup). Love this.
That eye makeup is amazing. Ryan slayed that set with only 10 days to rehearse with the band.
@@laurabodycombe7998 Yes... beyond impressive
If you ski, you should go downhill to this one! Brilliant
Canzone epica madonna mia che felicità essere nato in quegli anni❤❤❤🎸🎸💯💪🏻🤟🏻👍🏻
THE SOUNDTRACK OF MY YOUTH, over here across the pond in metro Detroit Michigan!!! An eternal classic that will NEVER AGE and that makes me feel 26 instead of 62!!! GREAT COVER😜😜😜😎😎😎
Que música maravilhosa incrível. Um tempo mágico foi esse. Parabéns a quem organizou essa música. Será eterna
I was a D.J. in nightclubs back in the 80s-early 90s. Whenever I played this song the dancfloor would be packed. In all those years I never saw who the band was. To see how big this band is and the production on stage is amazing. I never knew the lead singer here was in Jersey Boys for about 6 years. I had to go check out videos. He nailed that as well. Very talented singer and a very talented band.
This is one gig I wish i had seen for myself. 20 years ago, seems like only yesterday still sounds so good.
that bass gets me every time.
Amazing performance. Killer song!
Ryan Molloy is such a hot guy. Even today, 20 years after this performance, he is still very handsome and in top shape.
If you told me back in the 80s when this was released that anyone could have covered for Holly Johnson I would have certified you as mad. How wrong can a person be? Incredible performance.
The sexiest way ever to undo a jacket
hey, that blows me away, what power, what performance, and perfection: ppp 🎯 💯
Those of us who frequented "alternative" clubs/ gay clubs back then ( they had the best music), remember a VERY different video for this song - that was always projected on the wall as the song played. Perspective and distance, makes it harder to appreciate the song/ beat, etc., without remembering... THAT...
Years ago I bought a top video hits of the 80s DVD. There we were, at work, remembering the good ol' days of MTV and showing them to the "young kids". Then that video you remember came on. It was, obviously, NOT the one we remembered or expected to see from MTV, LOL! The DVD session got cut short (at work, remember). We'd laugh about it every once in a while, happy that our bosses understood the mixup.
@@LeighIR You're lucky, Leigh! It was so, extremely... "visually descriptive", of an alternative lifestyle. Think it was around the onset of AIDS in that community, wasn't it? If the scenes depicted actually happened in some gay bars, makes sense.
Still, there was lots of good dance music back then. Cheers!
Wish Holly could have been there for the performance. Ryan did a great job!
what a voice
Bought 12” of relax the day after gate crashing a house party where this came on,80’s were the best
❤The singer is absolutely gorgeous!! ❤Who is he?? ❤love from Finland
Ryan Molloy
I keep coming back. Love his voice here.
Ryan knocked it out of park! Just jaw dropping, his chemistry with the band and his perfect performance ,this was live people! Btw Ryan had to replace the lead with 7 days to do it. You can tell Ryan is a team player and it elevated those great songs to another level, beat that !
still sounds great...
He is GORGEOUS ❤
Sooooo good!!!! Rewatching 🎙️🎶🤩
同感です!
And rewatching and rewatching. Lol.
Had no idea about this concert. Danced to this song hundred of times in the 80’s. I am completely blown away by the band’s performance here. My reaction: Holly - who? Ryan Molloy is a new name to me - how can he not be fronting any band today?!? He is pure talent and magic.
Feel I have missed something, is this a tribute band?
@@scottnever8732 - no, it’s FGTH but Holly refused to participate in this concert in 2004. So the band looked for a new lead singer and through auditions found Ryan Molloy.
This guy for the lead singer is much better in my opinion, and he's 🔥 🔥 @@scottnever8732
What a night that was - fantastic!
Ryan Malloy, fantastic 🥳
I see Trevor horn and session musicians..
Same as the record
Great performance none the less
Gobsmacked! The 80's scandalous song, brilliant then, brillant now! 🤝👏👏👏👏👏
Ein großartiger Hit .Sänger und Band Spitze ! Starker Auftritt.
straight as a poisoned arrow but that singer is pretty hot
Wow freakin 17- 20 year Olds obviously 🤪, their just standing there lol. Genx like myself we'd jump up and down and be all into that song 😂😂😂 !!! Just as I was listening to this and glancing at it I was dancing and jumping up and down lol. My husband knew the assignment, get out of the way!!! 😂😂😂❤😊 That's love ❤
Yep. There were a few GenX (or close to...) dancing like we did in the 80's & 90's when this song came on. 🎶🎵🎶🎶🎵🎶
Absolute all time classic, if only we could go back in time, it's as we get older only then do we understand the statement of,,,the good old days, they were fantastic so happy to be my generation 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
It was a real shame this version of FGTH never recorded. I really like the lead singer’s voice.
Ryan Molley could have been the Sexiest Vampire in a Movie.
I dont recall Frankie looking like this so if he is lip syncing he is awesome at it if he is singing OMFG thats a talent
Trevor horn music legend
I had no idea they had a new lead singer and they were still around brings back a lot of memories the 80s were the best times LOL
they dont -- this was a one off back in 2004 - too bad Ryan killed it.
the performance I mean
First heard the song at a high school event in Washington, DC. It was both fascinating and to some extent transformative. Trevor Horn is just phenomenal.
Absolutely fucking brilliant
Golden📀📀📀📀📀Will share this 80s classic to my audiance🎸🎹🎤🎼🎵🎶🎙

I have loved this song ever since childhood ❤
I’ve been listening to FGTH at this gig for years. Ryan the boys takes it to whole new level 🙌
I thought this was Steve Strange at first , Trevor H , what a legend , what a song , what a career
Steve Strange back from the grave?!?🙄🤷🏻👀
He died in 2015😢
@@DebbieTDPThis was from 2004.
@@mandy5313 I read after, but still it wasn't and couldn't have been Steve Strange. With due respect, he wasn't such a great singer and his physique was completely different. 🤷🏻

Love this legendary performance, will be nice to have it on an official channel. Thanks Trevor
Love the bass line in this !
Timeless! Who'd a thought this is 40 years old?!
Era il 1973. Stavo facendo il militare e comperai il 45 giri che ancora ho e sentivo questa canzone come fosse un Mantra tutti i giorni su un mangiadischi che mi ero portato da casa.❤
You legend! wot a song Sir!
We were spoilt for good music back then, good to hear that thumping bass.
Love this!
Wow, this was superb! Never seen this before, never knew about the new signer who was excellent either.
