Personally, I started messing around on Korg DS-10 with no knowledge of synthesizers at all. Over time, I figured out how things worked on my own. Watching other Korg DS-10 videos on RUclips helped a lot as well. =)
It's just like learning any other instrument! It takes a lot of practice. I've personally spent three years messing around with Korg DS-10 so far. Thanks for listening! :D
Thank you! Well, in this case, imagine that both of the 3DSs are just two turntables. I go back and forth between both of the 3DSs so that I can play one song and prepare the next one. Every song here was created on one 3DS. =)
I used to listen to these live mix videos all the time at work and I keep coming back to them because they're so fucking good. Thanks for all the great tunes :)
Here I am, years into the future, getting super jazzed about learning synths, learning about making music, and discovering a copy of DS-10 kicking around in the closet! Your videos are great inspiration. (I picked up my 3DS just a couple years ago. (I like to run consoles a generation or two behind so "new to me" games are plentiful and affordable.) I'm also relatively advanced in age to begin to take an interest in making music. Not too late though, just later than many others.
You need more views, your too awesome!! Started listening to this on published date and am now listening to it again and this, this is freaking awesome!!! I find the Skrillex part really spot on.
You know, with this kinda of set. You could really do one heck of a show at Blip Fest. I'm super impressed and it makes me even more jealous. I really need to practice. But I guess having two DS-10 Plus copies help... as well as two 3DS. Awesome set man. Keep it up.
Making this took me about 7 months or something. I had to make every single song and figure out what goes where for the video. And yeah, I practice with Korg DS-10 a lot. =)
you are a perfect example of the fact that you don't need expensive or complex gear to make great music. (although nintendo DS is not cheap). good stuff and keep it up!
"Digital Garden" and "STAIRWAY" together really stand out in this set. Wonderful work all around-- I thoroughly enjoy listening to this on long drives and during study sessions. Keep making cool stuff!
Great stuff man, keep doing what you're doing! I wouldn't be surprised if I bought a cd from the store and this is what I heard, your stuff sounds professional
Actually, the DSi has a much better output than the 3DS does. The quality of the DSi sounds really fresh and it's actually a lot louder than the 3DS. I'm using Nintendo 3DS consoles in this video for a visual flair as well as distinction between my previous live mix. =)
No, I don't sell anything on iTunes yet. You can buy my album, which has most of these songs, on my Bandcamp page. You can also check out my Soundcloud page for a bunch of free downloads. I've provided links in the description box. Enjoy! =)
Thanks for listening! =) Korg DS-10 and Plus are available as retail cartridges. You can't buy them from the eShop or anything. I think they're becoming pretty difficult to find now, so you're gonna have to do some hunting at used game stores or online.
You sir, are the bedroom musician master class. Setting the bar for all DS-10 users. Ever try connecting Reverb and Chorus pedals to thicken the sound? It works wonders. You can get a cheap Reverb pedal at any guitar store for less than $50.
Thank you for listening! I have another half-hour mix, my first artist showcase, featured on my channel page. I'll probably come back to making more mixes one day.
A usb interface such as the Akai EIE pro is perfect for recording to a DAW on the computer. You have to split the L and R on each DS with a suitable cable and set the Pan Hard Left and Right in the DAW respectively.
Thanks for listening! You should check out my very own dubstep song called Practice Song 27. For this video, I was trying to get the attention of Skrillex fans. =)
Anthony, well done - brilliant! Why not get yourself a couple of 3ds playstands from Hori . . . It would also be nice to be able to see the bpm figures and red led indicators a bit more clearly on the vids - I know the resolution changes ever so slightly form Dsi to 3ds. . . . :(
You post it on my birth day, i've downloaded 2 it years ago, and i just realize it now hahaha, that somehow make me fells happy keep it up man, i like your music
Thanks for the suggestion! I just listened to it... Those sounds are pretty difficult to make. I'll tackle it eventually, and I'll probably upload it to my Soundcloud account rather than my RUclips. =)
Yeah. I'm trying to figure out how to make Korg DS-10 Plus sound as good as music produced on high end production programs. I personally feel like I'm getting pretty close. I'm still striving for it, though. =)
You can buy Korg DS-10 at retail stores and places like Amazon and ebay. Korg DS-10 is an actual cartridge for the Nintendo DS series. You won't find it as a downloadable title on the Nintendo eShop.
Korg DS-10 was initially developed for the original Nintendo DS series. Korg DS-10 Plus was an enhanced version with features that would only work with a DSi or a 3DS. So yeah, Korg DS-10 or the Plus version can work with any DS really. =)
Personally, I started messing around on Korg DS-10 with no knowledge of synthesizers at all. Over time, I figured out how things worked on my own. Watching other Korg DS-10 videos on RUclips helped a lot as well. =)
This is certainly the best music that has ever been created on a DS, well worth the time to listen.
すげぇ。ds10が最大限に活かされてると思う。
realy cool!! I couldn't imagine that ds10 can play such this cool song. This is maximum performance of ds10.
Can we all take a moment to appreciate that he designed every sound and made every sequence. Then synced them up across 2 3DS systems. Insane my dood
It's just like learning any other instrument! It takes a lot of practice. I've personally spent three years messing around with Korg DS-10 so far. Thanks for listening! :D
Instantly bought your album, well worth it. Pattern 16 of Transcendence just knocks it out of the park, truly awesome!
I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THIS DOESN'T HAVE MILLIONS OF VIEWS!!!!
Thank you! Well, in this case, imagine that both of the 3DSs are just two turntables. I go back and forth between both of the 3DSs so that I can play one song and prepare the next one. Every song here was created on one 3DS. =)
Truly incredible. Proof that it's not about the gear you have but the time you put in to learning to use it.
Seeing you so happy with your work makes me happy. It sounds so amazing and I hope you continue and I will be listening!
You have a great gift, great talent. Please don't stop here. Let the world know your work. I want to see you make it.
this software gives the sound a cool old school feeling
I used to listen to these live mix videos all the time at work and I keep coming back to them because they're so fucking good. Thanks for all the great tunes :)
