Very good detail explanations. My problem is not. The puck is sticking to the group pad but not coming out of the filter. I am going to try your suggestion style certainly. Thank you.
Congrats for the video. It was useful for me, because I was facing this issue and getting your tips, I was able to correct it. Thank you so much. I am watching to many of your videos about Breville.
Helpful video. It sometimes happens on my Bambino Plus but I do not care at all. It means that three-way sucks the water out well. In many cases it also depends on coffee beans. I have noticed that often happened if the doze was a bit smaller i.e. 17 grams instead of 18 or 19 .
The 3 way solenoid puts SO much water in the drip tray! I think I preferred my cheaper machine with no 3 way valve and soggy pucks instead of drip tray always getting full! 😂😭
Thank you. Also this changes according to the beans as well. Normally the puck should be dry and come out easy, after you leave it in the PF for a minute or 2. In your case glad you found a work around.
It happens on all machines from time to time. Its no big deal. Especially machines that such the excess water off puck after extraction and if you overfill the basket, thats why you do a backflush.
Hi, I have the Breville (Sage) Barista Impress - the one with the tamping system that let's you know if you're at the right level in your basket. It shows me green, it's 18g. I additionally try and make sure with the razor tool. Everything is perfect - yet the puck keeps on staying stuck to the shower head. It's like you HAVE to use a puck screen, otherwise it's always a mess. Any additional things I might be doing wrong here? Oh I was making sure the shower head is screwed all the way to the top and not sticking out too much. That can also be a problem
Have you tried to remove the Portafilter immediately after making espresso? Try that. Or grind coarser and see. Also an easy fix is to press single or double cup button for 2 seconds and press again to stop. That will push the puck down to the Portafilter
Hello there. I am using Lelit Anna 2 machine and the coffee is always sticking to the group head no matter how much coffee i put tho.. i tried 15-16-17-18g and they all stuck to the group head.. extraction is around 9 bars for all of them tho. Time extraction might be a little to fast as around 20ish seconds. What should i do? Someone help me!
Please I need help , how I can grind cafe, what number I use for grinder machine Beverley barista, please help me I have a big problem white with these, thank you.
You should be ok there. You may get soggy puck. It has nothing to do with channeling though. But since Breville provided the correct height, I'd follow that.
You will see high pressure if you over tamp. To fix, you can reduce the quantity of Grinds to a lesser amount to avoid over tamping. Over tamping can lead to bitter coffee.
You must be right. As I don't have smaller accurate scale. It show 0.25mm or 0.3mm which is equal to 6.5mm roughly. Thanks for the accurate measurement. Any idea is to set 0.5 or 1mm more.
Yay! Thanks for just what I needed to hear. I love my Breville, but am stumped when weird things happen. Juicy pucks, dry pucks, but it’s so fun to experiment! 2 reasons: 1. Your tamping level is too low. Lower than Breville's Razor height. Use that tool to verify the correct height. 2. You are removing Portafilter too quickly from the GroupHead after making espresso. Leave it for 2-3minutes in GroupHead so that the machine sucks up all the excess water. You should get dry puck after 3 minutes.
