The reason why people watch horror films is because they allow you to face your fears in a completely safe environment(no one ever really dies of a heart attack watching horror films.) They also allow filmmakers to explore complex subjects in a heighten style. This series is about ghosts, but it is just as much about family, grief and how the secrets we keep can destroy us. I really hope Lucia sticks with it because it is a complicated show and she is spotting everything, asking all the right questions. The Haunting of Hill House is one of the most rewarding tv shows ever made.
The fact that the family drama and character development is so good in this show is what I think draws so many non horror fans to it. I really hope that it will also draw her in! 🤞🤞🤞
