Hey Chaps! Does the AMOLED screen tempt you to buy it??
No not even close
Maybe i missed it mate , but just wondering how the speakers are ?
Cheers .
Yes although I wish there was a mid-level QHD resolution on the bigger one
Well, it's a really tough comparison - I was looking to upgrade my current, original Galaxy Book, I got the 12 inch model which has the following specs:
QHD (1440p) HDR SuperAMOLED screen.
Touchscreen with S-Pen integration.
I5 processor 7th Gen, 8GB RAM 256GB SSD
Detachable keyboard /2-in-1 Form Factor
I'm looking to upgrade, because the screen is small, and the keyboard relies on a folding stand mechanism which makes lap usability virtually impossible.
But - I'm finding it impossible to find something with the same/similar specs - particularly the touch screen HDR QHD.
Could you recommend anything?
Not at that god awful aspect ratio. Fix that and I'm all over Samsung. Would love some OneUI services on my laptop, especially Quick Share.
Samsung always nails it with the design of their devices. That's one gorgeous laptop
I cant even imagine how could they put fan on that thin laptop! its SICK
What about the ports?
Hi anna
It doesn't have a fan because it doesn't need it.
10:33 The way color and contrast pop, make you believe every other laptop was a bad imitation.
Asus Flip S has the best screen on the market. 4k OLED 500 nits.
Omg just noticed you have a new place congrats
hi great vlog i bought one and im very happy i did and got the top spec one cheers.
Mystic silver (mostly white 😉) is definitely the nicer colour, especially as the blue gets greasy looking so quickly! Unfortunately for me I'd personally like a 16:10 or taller aspect ratio. Maybe next year Samsung! Thanks for the video 😁
Absolutely think otherwise, colors (which are amazing) and aspect ratio aside, this absolutely blows other Windows ultrabooks out there with its refinement and display. LG Gram would be the only competition for me. This paired with Samsung’s ecosystem is productivity and lifestyle beast.
@@user-jd6rc2de9l yes, it's this versus the LG Gram for me too. As the top spec 16" Gram is £1.199 ( at the moment!)I'm leaning towards that.
Narrator: Samsung stuck with the 16:9 ratio the next year as well. 🙄
From the further future, Samsung did go 16:10 on their Pro and new Ultra in 2023!
That screen looks beautiful!!!
I don't know what it is, but I love the 3:2 ratio for laptops. I was spoiled of it when I used the Surface Laptops, put that display on there and I would be in LOVE.
2:20 The screen looks so clean it looks like it was added with a Screen Replacement Effect
Thank you for this. Defo liked and subscribed. You helped me a lot in buying the right gadget fit for my needs. 🥰
I have a Samsung Notebook 7 Force, it was released a couple years back and it kinda flew under the radar and I didn't see any major tech youtubers review it. It's been a solid laptop for 2 years now and I was considering getting this, but after some research and realizing that I could upgrade my storage and ram I think im gonna stick with it.
Does this one work a pen, and still holding up?
Nice and compact! Impressed at how slim it is.
Me or the laptop??

Thanks for that info 👍
Hi, like the 15" 360 Pro. I am not a techy & think maybe using Samsung apps on this would enable an easy promotional video for my online therapy practice...sorta this is how it would be. Have a Samsung Note 10 phone & friend suggested that would be better but also use that to monitor diabetes blood-sugars so using it for vids would make life a bit complicated! Like the blue one since typing this on old Surface is tricky with white digits on a grey background. Found your vid very clear & like your style & choice of coffee machine & mug! Thanks
Thank heck I wasn’t the only reviewer who thought the trackpad click was loud!
Haha I know right!
@@Thetechchap sir please Review
Msi modern 14 ryzen 5 4500u Laptop
sadly, its even worse! the whole construction is so flimsy, it makes the trackpad unusable, if you use the "Laptop" on your lap or a non rigid surface! If there is even the slightes bending in the frame, the buttons on the pad get clicked and/or stuck! Not only that, its possible to click the buttons from the bottom of the chasis! This is such a major flaw, its unbeliveable this was not detected during there testing phases!
Thanks for a comprehensive review. I think this one might be my next laptop perhaps. First "modern" gear in awhile LOL.
Nice review brother, videos are great. Hope you get to the point of other reviewers
Hi, thanks for the review. Can you compare the reflections of this model with those from the LG Gram? Better? Or even worse?
thx for the video!
I am currently deciding on getting the 15" i7 version or the Dell Inspiron 15 5505
Doing mostly srudent stuff and Photoshop/ClipStudioPaint with many layers.
Can't really decide if the Samsung Galaxy is worth the high price difference...
Did you measure the actual brightness results? I'm seeing reviews that it only hits 300nits.
Samsung laptops are the most underrated laptops out there.... Price to performance, hard to beat.
Not in India
Dell is better
New subscriber, excellent video. You absolutely nailed it, everything I needed to know about galaxy pro I got from your video...nice one..Cheers
Awesome video! Informative and entertaining!
I am so happy that you've made a video on this specific laptop! I haven't seen any big youtubers with this.
I just snagged this very same model (albeit i5 with 8gb ram, but everything else the same) for a mere 310eur or around 270 quid, I am super excited to use it for casual stuff! :D
Nice tech chap......brilliant 👏👌👍🙌😎😀👏👌👍 reviews
Nice one. Subscribed
it's Really nice that you are putting a video of Uzbekistan on the laptop, i love it )
One question!
Think it can cope with a 55" Sony Bravia XR @ 4k via its HDMI.
My use scenario is basically just cloud gaming.
I currently use 13" Razer stealth but its HDMI drops out intermittently.
Intel 620 UHD does't support UHD apparently lol. Liked and subbed!
You said “bugger” so that sealed it for me. I’m subscribed!
You should do a comparison against the Dell xps 15 (9500)💥
If I was on that scenario I would probably hit my arm in that camera while talking haha Btw, great video! It's filled with useful info, thanks!
Just bought one, on sale right now in US for $1,099 :) w/ 512 GB SSD, 11th Gen i7, and 16 GB of RAM, not to mention the 15.6" screen .... Honestly, that's the best deal on the market with those specs.
Where did you purchase it?
Hey TS.. I'm looking at one in south Florida costco at 899.00. 1 TB and 16gb. How are you liking it 6 months later?
Hi, just curious, is this a good choice from your experience to use to do Adobe After Effects and Premiere video editing and will it be able to export in 4K from those two programs?
Would like to know this as well
0:58 " let's find out " sounds familiar😂
Hi Tom, can you review the Lenovo ideapad 5 Pro AMD variant. Only seen 1 US review, be interested to know if its coming to the UK.
Seriously I watch your video for the most truthful reviews because you don’t give the BS you give the Truth ! And I bought several products because of you and you were not wrong yet 🤜🤛
Cheers John!

@@XYZ-ef3mo yep it’s true
My old Samsung laptop had exactly the same problems with the fan control, small spikes in CPU load made the fans go wild for a few seconds. Funny how they still have not fixed that.
You can change the setting for a quiet fan mode and it will be silent.
Someone said you remind them of Mike Ross from Suits now I can't unsee it
Amazing....that i was doing the exact same thing as your intro video (grabbing my coffee) with my Acer swift while watching this lol
😅 how you finding the Swift?
@@Thetechchap good machine..i have swift 5 ..bought it here in Thailand
bro loved introduction. You have showed uzbekistan :)
Hello! I just came across your review and was wondering about something. Is the screen really that dark? Or is it bright enough for normal use? Have heard that it could bei much better.
I just came out of Best Buy, where I liked this one. But decided to watch some reviews first though. I also noticed that i got warm… Didn’t hear the fan (but I wasn’t really doing anything with it). So thank you for this review.
I actually think I will buy it. I had Samsung several laptops back in my life))), and I did like it. The 360 is also great. After my old Samsunng I bought an Asus Zenbook and wanted to crash it against the wall immediately because it would not go 180. So I learned the hardway that it is important for me))
hi! what is the best minimum frequency for a business laptop? (is it okay to buy laptop with lower than 2 GHz? i need to save cost 😭)
Cheers Tom been waiting for this. Wanted to ask are the RAM and SSD upgradable?
SSD is yeah
I actually prefer 16:9 displays. I love watching videos without black bars.
And if the vertical space bothers you in windows, you can move your taskbar to the side of the screen to free up more space at the bottom.
This is an oled display.
The black bars would be literally turned off pixels.
@@burdmate it doesn't matter, i just feel i am wasting my screen space (so effectively i end up with a smaller screen)
@@burdmate still black bars/extra bezels
Late reply but yk that you can edit your movie to match your screen
@@sakshamishar3456 you mean crop a part of the movie out? that's the only way to do it and not ideal. Plus you can't even do that in youtube
Got a chance to buy the 13 inch/i5/256gb for $525 new in box, very excited.
This video guides me in considering this laptop.
Thank you!
I was considering this laptop and the LG gram but ended buying the Lenovo Yoga slim carbon. It is also evo certified and has 2k dolby vision and dolby atmos and carbon fibre body.
I plan to get this for my college student with 1 tb ssd, but I kind of wish the smaller laptop was available with the higher storage. This big and this thin seems unwieldy to me
Nice review.
Looks gorgeous
The top UK spec LG Gram 16" i-7, 16GB RAM, 1TB ROM, 2K screen, 16:10 screen ratio, great battery life, generous port selection, better colour accuracy is £1,199 at Amazon and Currys right now. Problem is I haven't been able to use the Gram in store - I've used the GB Pro. For £1,199, on paper at least, the Gram smokes the GB Pro.
Any new thoughts on the best 2-in-1 now 4 months after you mentioned this? Just saw where Samsung is using the same screen for the GB Pro 2 line they just unveiled yesterday so no improvements there.
Hi, can you try building a cheap but a good set up?
Thanks Sheldon for such an amazing review. XD
😅
Do you think they will they eventually use the same 90hz panel like in the zenbook 14x?
love it, wish to have that :)
Hello, I have a question. The first laptop you're showing - the letters on the keys are centred, on the other one - they're in the top left corner. Why are the keyboards different? Thank you in advance.
Thank you from Texas! Been waiting for this one. Final verdict = Samsung Galaxy Book Pro vs XPS9310 with OLED? I am down to these two.
Ohh.. that's tough. Probably XPS 13 for me (assuming it's Vs 13" GBP), just for the 16:10
@@Thetechchap thank you!
I prefer my video full screen. 16:9 works for me.
This, versus a lg gram, wich one is better on performance?
Would you go with the 13 inch or the 15 ?
Thank you. This review was a relief as I've just bought the I5 pro version. I just couldn't keep looking anymore and so I took the plunge instead. So your review was not a potential horror story!! The price has reduced, I paid less than £900. I think I will get on fine with it for light business use and some essay writing.
yes it has,got mine for $688
I have a question. I'm looking for a laptop to do 1080p video editing for my RUclips channel. I use windows movie maker (yes, still have it 😁) It's easy. So, do I really need a dedicated graphic card or Intel iris xe with I7 and 16gb ram will be enough? Right now, I upload a 15 minutes 1080p video in 20 minutes with my desktop with I7 and older system from 2017. Thinking about buying the Samsung book pro with iris xe or Dell xps 15 with iris xe.. Or should I buy the GeForce rtx 3050?Thanks 👍
Hi!
does it has a lighting key board??? please and thanks
new subscriber here!
Does anyone else's trackpad stick when you left click? I guess it only happens when there is pressure on the bottom (basically when it is on my lap). It sort of clicks from the pressure on top and bottom and then sticks that way.
Don't forget the thunderbolt 4 that could have given you more performance when you need it.
This looking very promising as one of the best MacBook M1 rival from Windows side when it first debut last month but after watching several reviews, started to realize that Samsung can do better still. For one, the build quality need to be improved a lot and that wobble on 2021 laptops simply unacceptable. The OLED screen is gorgeous but like you Tom, I cannot stressed enough how much they missed out for not extending the aspect ratio to 16:10 and higher resolution like QHD would be preferable especially since the OLED panel employ Pen Tile pixel arrangement, so it felt more pixelated than typical 1080p LCD screen.
Although, there's still plenty of good things about it like the wide selection of ports for its class is rarity these days and the weight is really feather light. Here's hoping they ironed out all those niggles, quirks and refined these laptops further next year because they almost nailed on the good laptop formula, just need that much needed finesse to it. My 2 cents, cheers Tom 😁
Narrator: Samsung used the same screen the following year as well.
Hi do you use screen protector for galaxy book pro 360? will the screen get scratches when you write or draw on it?
Which is better in your opinion surface pro 9 or samsung book 2 pro 360 13 inch i7 16 ram for business as a second laptop or 2 in one because i have another m1 pro 14 inch laptop
I want another easy laptop for presentations and easy to go laptop or tablet but can go Windows because Apple ipad dosent go well as a computer or full experience of laptop i am a Marketer

Look at that mate... An HDMI port on such a thin and light laptop... I'm looking at you Apple... 😂
And dell, only usb c 😔
New MacBook Pro is coming with hdmi, but I really don't see the point, hdmi is already being replaced by usb c and almost any macbook user must have a couple of adapters by now so it really doesn't make sense to me going backwards
@@josefranciscoramirez4438 I wish for an SD Card slot at the least...

Screen brightness too low for an Amoled. If you are not working outdoors, it should be enough. But I really wish more and more 3:2 aspect ratio and monitor hits US markets .I love Matebook X pro,Acer Swift 3,Microsoft Surface Aspect ratio 16:9 is too narrow.
Tom I'd appreciate your advice please,
I'm torn between the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro and the LG Gram 16". The top spec LG Gram 16", 16GB Ram, i-7, 1TB ROM is currently on offer for £1,099 (usual £1,499) on Amazon. Which is the better laptop? I imagine the Samsung will also be on sale in a few weeks. Thanks!
Did u buy any of those 2?
Any apple like features to complete the ecosystem with other sasmung phones and tab?
Can the Processor maintain its performance as per Evo certification, like say XPS 13, by maintaining 28W TDP for long duration or it it throttles heavily under load, to just 15W TDP?
It throttles heavily under loads of long duration, to just 15W TDP.
If you are the DIY type, you can take the laptop apart and install a second fan/heatsink and connect it to the first fan's heatsink (with some hack sawing and thermal JB welding). There is enough space for it in the 15.6" model.
Hey will you review the new LG 27GP950 monitor which have hdmi 2.1

Upgradable SSD & RAM ??
Didn't you make a review on LG 32GP850? Where is it?
Nice review. I wish Samsung Galaxy books were available in Europe. IMO, btw,16:10 is not a good ratio. For the same diagonal, you get less width. That means it's less good for split-screen apps, browser tab width, etc etc. I understand market pressures, but personally I would like manufacturers to retain the option of things that really work: 16:9, matte screen, full-size SD reader etc.
Wow the screen looks great
We need screens like these on future laptops
It's oddly disappointing in real life
You played Age of Empires 2 too..that's nice... Love to see whether AOE2 runs smoothly or not
Oh yeah super smooth 60fps+
@@Thetechchap thanx for the reply bro!
You'd have to be very brave to play 2hr+ sessions of aoe2 on an oled display.
