WoW it seems INCREDIBLE... DOWNLOADING RIGHT NOW. I think this is gonna be an authentic MUST in my plug folder. I was waiting for sth like this. Thank you so much for this great review.
Wow Plugin Alliance! I'm excited to hear how this compares to the hardware. I have the hardware and it sounds incredible! Hopefully the plugin is similar enough for others (who don't own the hardware) to enjoy the awesome stereo width it adds to a mix! 😊 GREAT JOB!
I was on the verge of pushing the button on the hardware version of this then Plugin Alliance come in clutch. I've been a bit unimpressed by a lot of emulations from plugin Alliance this year but man this really sounds super close to the hardware. I guess you guys have saved me some cash and rack space
Wow! Just gives everything a big, ol' hug. Sounds amazing on everything here -- so transparent -- so gluey -- so very much appreciated. Love you all. Go, music!
Mane, this is amazing 👏. I was about to purchase the hardware version 🙌🏽. I'm ITB 100% of the time, and I was going to purchase the hardware version because I love what it does so much. Now, if they can make the SPL Stereo Vitalizer Mk3-T a plugin, my life will be complete😅. Come on Plugin Alliance, you can do it. Make that SPL Stereo Vitalizer Mk3-T so I can be the happiest guy ever 😁
I used to have the BiG 500 unit and I loved that thing to death, but had to sell it due to things that happen. This is amazing, it sounds really close even on RUclips compressed audio. I'll be getting this, it's what my drum buss misses.
I have the Hardware version of this and this is good. The plug-in is great but it’s definitely not the hardware. I might make a video about it just to show you guys Hardware always has that depth.
Would definitely appreciate such a comparison. Currently, I'm completely ITB, but considering some hardware pieces, partially for looks to make the studio "look" more legit 🤪, but having actual effect, better than ITB hardware couldn't hurt.
@@danymalsound doesnt matter. he loves the unit in general and im sure hes gonna be super excited that its a plugin. 100% hes gonna make a video encouraging ppl to try it out and add it to their mixes, especially as an alternative to the real unit if ppl cant afford it.
They claim it’s some unique type of processing, but as far as I can tell, it’s just a basic high shelf boosting the sides. You could get the same effect with the stock EQ in Ableton.
I noticed it using short reverb and Haas effect. Similar effect can be produced by combining: Ableton's utility + Wise amount of reverb + Delay as Haas.
BiG doesn't introduce reverb, but it might sound like it does in the fourth audio example. That example already contains low-level stereo reverb, but BiG emphasizes it significantly. While the chain you mentioned would add width to a sound, BiG offers complete mono compatibility; this is one of it's main selling points. Adding a delay to a sound creates a waveform offset, inherently leading to phase artifacts (cancellation, comb filtering, etc.) when summed to mono. Using a delay, there's no way to completely avoid these issues. Due to the unique way BiG processes audio, the stereo content that it adds completely disappears in mono, avoiding phase artifacts, and ensuring complete mono compatibility. As a result, you can apply extreme widening effects to your sounds using BiG without worrying about mono-summed phase issues.
It's great to acknowledge those points as true. However, I must admit that I’ve never used stereo enhancement on the main lead synth or vocals; I typically apply it to other layers to create a wider stereo feel. I'm not opposed to using your plugin, as it offers unique processing and user-friendly knobs. I know SPL is highly regarded in the industry, and I definitely should try out this new plugin.
fabfilter got Dan Warrell to do a deep dive on their pro Q 4. you guys are missing the mark not getting Colt to do the same with this plugin. thats free marketing game for you.
Let us enjoy what couldn't be done a few years ago. I'll rather a plugin over hardware any day. I started with hardware back in 1997. It was an absolute headache having to recall all those settings. I don't care if the hardware is 1% better than the plugin. It's much easier to recall those settings on a plugin
@DaMixWizard i started in 2001 with plugins and finally i came to a hybrid setup. I have several hardwired analog chains that I don't need to recall much, since I only mix my own music and the music of friends. Plugins are godsend, but still nothing brings a mix to life like a nice analog chain. I'm comparing plugin to hardware right now and it's not a 1% difference, but little bit bigger, but plugin as i said is nice.
I hope plugin alliance will make hardware especially audio interface withe the knowledge that they have making plugins, I think audio interface that they make will sound incredible
At 6:32? That's a Max for Live device called LFO. It creates a control signal that you can map to plugin parameters. In this case, it's modulating the Pan S parameter in BiG. You could also affect the knob using an automation lane.
Hardware is not needed anymore. So people keep it in their studio for decoration and to charge people more per hour because the artists think they are using the hardware. I've seen an engineer do this before
@ dam that’s crazy lol.. ya I sold all my hardware except like one mixing device I kept.. I also use all hardware synths but for mixing I really think plugins can do it all and you can’t tell the difference between them

Amazing plug in!
Bruh....this is bloody brilliant!!
What a gorgeous GUI!

This and the HG-Q are crazy. Going to use/review this one next.
You guys are rocking. Ty
Honestly very good sounding
Just what I was looking for!
Can’t wait to get it! I’m spent this month, unless there’s a sale. Looks awesome 👏

Bro, this might be the closest a plug in has gotten to a piece of HW. I look forward to your video tho.
Please do 🙏
i can see colt capperone going crazy over this

Yes, but can he thank Sweetwater for it?!?

This is one is really great guys! Just posted a review and demo 🙏❤️
We added it to our Best Community Content playlist. Thanks for the great review!
@ thank you!! 🙏
Is it good to place on the masterchain?
Well this is awesome
the hardware sounds incredible (watch colt capperrune's demo) and it seems like the plugin has the magic
Yes the hardware sounds incredible. Do you own the hardware?
@@ProsodySound no, i wish i did. i've been waiting to see if they'd release it as a plugin since i saw Colt's demo. can't wait to grab it!
I was just waiting for this ❤
Game Changer!
I can't wait to try this out
I can listen the difference at my Phone.
It definetly does something.
Amazing! I own the M/S Master by SPL, and this is even better in many ways. Now please do a new emulation of the new Vitalizer PLEASE PLEASE!
I love the Goodhertz MidSide plugin with its shuffler modes...but let's see what this thing here can do!
Finally something relevant from PA again
Wicked!
We need the new Spl DeS in plugin form. ❤
Amazing!!!!!
what exactly is the bass boost switch doing and whyyyy is it on this plugin anyway?
It adds a subtle bass boost to the sound. The hardware has it, so the plugin does too.
Klingt echt geil.
This is perfect for masterbus automation to create subliminal movement across the track.
Will try it out with my subscription and see if its as good as the hardware, because i have one…… cheers

To me it makes the mix wider and adds separation at the same time
3:54 wow sounds much fuller !
Great!! Thank u
Mono compatibility is amazing
...must have !!!
Plz do make a comparison video.. spl big hardware is on my buying list, unless the plugin is close enough.. thanks
Awsome! Is there a loyalty offer for owners of other SPL plugins?
You are my heroes, no, our heroes, Marvel is a child's playground by comparison. And next up, please the “Vitalizer Mk3-T” ❤👌
How mooch?
Let's goo!
Sounds similar to the Katz stereo algorithm? Or is it entirely different?

It is ok, not as natural as hardware 500, but could be used sometimes for individual sounds or groups while 500 is on mixbus.

Nobody can tell the minuscule difference between this and the plugin if played randomly.
Wrong argument. Can you tell the difference while mixing would be the right one to make.
Finally something that can replace MSED on my master bus
Ill buy anything spl
убедили))) качаю торрент
guess this is replacing control_v2 for me
Good choice. I bought the hardware after hearing how amazing it sounds. Control_v2 is still useful if you want to do midside decoding though.
I’m on the Mega XXL plan , so I’ll be experimenting tonight ! Forever grateful to PA! 🫡🤝🫶🏻🙌🏽
2:36 its just an autopan + side boost. you can do it in every daw
it isn't
@amiiik you can find reviews on youtube. This is just m/s high shelf boost. You can make it with any m/s eq.
I hope plugin alliance will make hardware especially audio interface withe the knowledge that they have making plugins, I think audio interface that they make will sound incredible
So it's a reverb. Awesome.
If there's reverb present in the side channel of a signal, it can make it more apparent, but it's not a reverb generator.
Goodhertz MidSide works better for me. Sounds more natural. But I see some useful cases here IF you need go go a bit more extreme.
i have seen you can null it with any m/s eq lol
bro had auto pan on his example before the plugin. ..
