If you're thinking about coming over from analog to ITB, truuuuust me, you don't have to look further than PA, it’s most to all you’ll need. My sessions have been 99 percent PA plugins, and the remaining Softube! Seeing a PA and ST collab would be crazy!
Nobody with lots of outboard "switches to digital" but we DO find VSTs useful in a laptop and in other portable/ remote situations. I've used PA for years for a few things, and the main problem with PA and brainworx is using them with smaller displays, such as a laptop's. Specifically, the tiny fonts and fixed-window size combined with excessive screen space dedicated to needless photo-imitations of hardware. Their UIs can hog 100s sometimes 1000s of pixels needlessly - and do a poor job of telling me what's what at the same time.
@@shaft9000 that's odd because I'm having none of those issues 🤷♂️. And yes, if you've been keeping up you’d know some of your top mixers and mastering engineers are now itb. It has been more and more headed this way, I did a little over 2 years ago… I don’t record anymore and the recordings I receive are good quality, my plugins have gotten me the rest of the way. No more recalls and the problems they create. 👌 digital is the future.
It does emulate the sound. The first version they released emulated only the attack/release curves, but not the harmonics that the hardware would introduce, but in the updated version they also added the ability to emulate the harmonics.

My favorite plugin is the one that solves my current issue. It is pretty rare that a PA plugin is not my favorite at any given moment.
Didn't guess of SPL Big is a killer! Demonstrations are🔥 NEOLD Oldtimer really impressed too 💪🏻
That MAAG EQ4 is going NUTS

I thought the Three-Body compressor didn’t actually emulate the sounds of those compressors? That it was functionally just mimicking the controls
