Thanks Kraig! We're dressing up our $20 kit and it'll get a place on the layout. In part 3 our budget kit will get some LED lighting. I appreciate you watching!
I can see how your miltary modeling techniques have been used here. That dock looks fantastic! One hint...place a curved neck industrial light (yellow LED) over the side door, and a few under the dock awning; would look so cool in your night scenes as trains pass by, making the building look "occupied". And, I've used drafting film (frosted mylar") behind some windows (or used as pull down shades) to diffuse the LED light in the windows.
Thanks for the tips, Paul! I'll look into the frosted mylar. I'll see if Amazon has some of that, it would be useful in diffusing light in a number of applications. I'll need to get more of those gooseneck lights. I still have a couple I'll need a lot more if I'm going to use them more prominently. I appreciate you watching!
Thanks Darrin! I'm happy with how this inexpensive older kit is coming together. In part 3 I'll finish up with installing LED lighting. I appreciate you watching!
Thanks! I was pleased by how the dock turned out. Although the brick mortar could have been better, overall, I'm good with how this $20 kit is turning out. I finish it up on Jan 18th with some LED lighting. I appreciate you watching!

Good point. I thought of making a drainpipe and I looked on Amazon for some square styrene tubing, but I let it go. I should have made the effort but didn't. I'll look into ordering some materials and maybe get that done on the next building. Thanks, and I appreciate you watching!
Great job Steve 😎 !!! I told you that it would turn out great 😊 !!! 👍👍
