Kabeção and I met last year in the Netherlands for the first time and my gosh, he‘s truly one of the most fun, deep & sweetest souls I ever met! How he approaches these instruments amazes and inspires me again and again so deeply.
We filmed this video during Pangonia Festival. The sun was slowly setting and dipping the sky and lake into mellow pastel colors - while we were going on a deep, playful sound journey together with the Astronaut 👨🚀✨
The atmosphere was so calm and peaceful and I enjoyed every moment of this musical conversation so much 🦦 :)

This is the musical equivalent of vivid sunsets - an experience that rides the waves in the ocean of consciousness, stirred by emotions, shaped by perceptions, rising and falling with the breathing of the Earth, charging forward with something momentous and then disappearing in a giggling gush of sparkling colors. There is only one thing to witness - the ringing of a note, lingering while others are sounded and twirl around revealing the duality of time - that which moves and that which remains transfixed in wonder of what just transpired... the motif, the harmony, the cooperation of two intentions wanting to make a memory...

@changeofcolours oh it absolutely is! Seeing you play (I'll have to link the first video I ever saw of yours) confirmed the instrument I had been thinking about, and I've been looking every sense. Even used, I have found they are a bit spendy.... but I am hoping to save up. I'm a single mama, but we are muscle people, and I homeschool. I think my kids would love this as well.

How do you record the sound of the handpan and make it sound so good? Is it just a microphone underneath it? Been really struggling to record mine 😅

I use a Zoom H4n Pro for recording, usually putting it on my bag just out of the frame when I‘m recording a video :)
Wonderful what camera/ phone did u use for the image?
For the video I use a Nikon D850 with a 35mm lens :)
