fire rate absolutely does affect the rate at which the beam tics, it may not be the same way it does with normal weapons, but it is quite noticeable if you take all the fire rate reducing mods off and use a fire rate increasing mod. That said, reducing fire rate is nice for this weapon because it means less damage is happening before charge 3 and for the case of viessa you are able to keep the debuff on the enemy for longer. I think refrigerate gunbarrel is great but slow art doesn't feel as good as normal old action and reaction.
I made a build a while back that was just maximum reduced fire rate and maximum increase magazine. thing did absolutely no damage but could shoot forever, very funny.
if you really want to feel the effect of fire rate, take gley, put on the fixed fire rate mod on gley 3rd skill. The weapon will do like no damage, and takes forever to tick. However it does charge the weapon to lvl 3.

"Superconductivity Charge" This is a must for beam weapons, it increases the charging speed by 40%

I do stand corrected though, as there isn't a "Charge Speed" substat that you can roll, but a "Change Speed".

I would drop the Crit DMG roll on the weapon for even faster Charge Speed, as getting to level 3 is more important to get that -80% Chill RES shred (when the weapon is maxed).

I wasn't criticizing him and his build. I was just stating something that could hopefully make it better and if the original creator of the video doesn't agree, then I'm sure he's an adult enough to say so without a reply such as yours.

This is a mad interesting gun though, and I like where your head is at. No one size fits all solutions, just tailored to taste

@@Masenken the gun especially shines in Viessa group play (as she is the only Chill Descendant for now...). As only one person needs it for the RES shred.
In another sense, those that build Viessa with longer durations will get more out of this gun than those who build for CD reduction for skill spamming, like with Cold-Bloddedness.
Since if one is purely a spell slinger, there would be no time to use a charge rifle.
But say with a long duration set for their Blizzard instead, you then have time while it is out to fire your beam for the shredding and helping it do even more.
If doing a spell slinger, low CD build, Blue Beetle is the way to go (as long as not using Absolute Zero) so that you can get a nice Skill Crit Rate buff without even needing to fire the gun.

I dropped hypothermia for absolute zero on my ulti Viessa, and there is no going back ! With hypothermia i did around 20k to 40k (50k max) damage, and with absolute zero i do around 200k to 300k crit damage (sometimes more).
And absolute zero turn all of your skill attributes into singular, which means that you can maximize all of your abilities strength by taking a frost reactor with singular attribues.
Plus, if you land a critical hit with absolute zero, you inflict frostbite to the target and frostbite trigger the ice sphere, which means that Clairvoyance frostbite can trigger ice sphere too !
Absolute zero is maybe less good against colossus, but for the rest of the game it's god tier.

Are you sure about this? I have the mod (haven't built it yet) but it clearly states that frostbite is triggered when SKILLS crit hit. Unless I'm missing something, I don't think this applies to firearm damage.

so not saying build is bad, because its not, its great, but maybe for exploring in the future, weakpoint is base damage, so when you add 32% weakpoint as an example, it changes 1x to 1.32x, if you add 32% to 2x, it changes to 2.32x, so its a flat damage increase, in some cases being more than general atk increase
Hey, just tested this in-game and weak point is multiplicative. Test conditions was a Piercing Light (2X base) with level zero Weak Point Sight (+9% damage). The result was 2.18x, so it is not a flat damage increase. With that said, I still think that a weak point module on the Clairvoyance is worth it despite a 1X base. I recommend Have Aiming since -Accuracy is negligible on a beam rifle.

I like cold snap watch for mobbing with low cool down and radius maxed it covers so much area. O_o

I use both secret garden and clairvoyance and it shreds that way
Btw viessa's 1 ability can hit pyromaniac's back using the explosion of 1 and I always 2 shot his back.

Little confused about the fire rate. I tried super senses gley with a beam rifle for the lolz and well yeah does like no damage
Edit: now if you want to slow it down to proc that infinite ammo mod before reload I can get behind that.
You are misunderstanding how beam rifles work... it takes some time (not bullets) to reach stage 3 beam. You do not want to waste your rounds on stage 1 and 2, you want as many rounds as possible during stage 3. Thus, slowing down the fire rate, you still reach stage 3 in the same amount of time, but you then have more rounds remaining to use in stage 3 for more overall damage.
@@webbygaming1583 But does it not also tick for less in terms of frequency too once its reached in stage 3? And how often are you just holding down the beam weapon versus casting all the time with Viessa? Been playing with it for a couple of days, and it feels like I don't use the gun for damage all that much other then on bosses. Which even on bosses, I get to stage 3, get the debuff, then immediately cast a spell.
How good is this gun before you throw four more them into it? I really enjoyed your set up, but I’m building my first one and dreading farming 4 more😂

I can't Remember witch augment it is but thé Polar night set doesent work on one of here so i mostly run a 2 set thé Polar night 2 piece for thé chill and than thé 2 piece that gives you skill duration
That's not a bad idea.
Indeed, the polar set does not work with Cold Blooded, which is quite annoying. I personally use the Slayer set which gives me a skill power of 26.1, as well as max mun.
What about an unleveled SPS, does that make mag last longer?
But how much does the shred increase ur damage on colossus fights?
You would have kill him if you pop your 2nd ability

So. A Valby with Devotion and a Viessa with Clairvoyance will shred through any enemy easily.

@@danielhowes3275 Valby lowers electric def and for whatever reason also chill def. Devotion lowers Def. Clairvoyance lowers chill res.
Does anyone know if clairvoyance procs the spheres from the transcendent mod absolute zero?
