Hey Waffle. I enjoyed the informative content here. I have a couple of suggestions. These aren't critiques per se. You're bright and know the game. I hope these ideas will help you reach a larger audience. 1) Consider polishing up your personal presentation. A stighter camera angle with perhaps some colorful (but not gauche) background lighting rather than a basement shot with you laundry hanging in front of white walls. You might also wear say, classic game tee shirts or super heroes or something else nerdy and fun. Pokeman, Street fighter 2, Borderlands, Grand Theft Auto, Green Lantern's lamp, whatever. 2) Try to be a little bit more animated. Your affect is simply too flat for RUclips. You're not teaching differential equations; you're discussing a video game. Be upbeat and energetic and fun. Recall that on RUclips, presentation is proven to be far more important in garnering viewers than content itself. See Moxsy, eg, for a perfect balance here. He is intelligent and analytical , but he's also exuberant. He isn't fake, nor should you be, but he is excited to show what he's discovered, and his affect oozes his love of the game. 3) Slow down in presenting your content. EG, you used the term 'Comfort Build' but never explained exactly what YOU mean by that. Does that mean it's a balanced mobbing build? A balanced bossing build? Further, Consider breaking down your videos into clearly delineated sections using insertable graphics. I know nothing of video production, but I imagine that in 2024 it wouldn't be too difficult for you to spice up your videos with some vibrant graphics. 4) Whether you agree with any of the above specific suggestions, I hope you'll consider the broad point I'm making. Good luck with your channel, and thanks for the informative video.
i do have a bunny, and it was actually supposed to be my 2nd video. however i couldn't find the perfect bossing + mobbing build. if you catalyze for the best bossing build, your mobbing build will be decent. but i like to strive for perfection on both. right now, i have a decent bossing, and very good mobbing build. (infinite mana sprint + max range + ok damage) i figured since i have gley for bossing, i didnt need another bossing character technically, but i like playing other characters too.
check the pinned comment for the AoE build, its not perfect, but gets the job done. i believe nexon is adding a way to change catalyze thru presets, we'll see how they handle that, and we can create the perfect AoE build along keeping the bossing build!
Well shit. I think this and Ult Lepic might be better bossers than Ult Gley. Not only that, both Viessa and Lepic are useful descendants outside of bossing when it comes to both dungeons and/or void shards
Its a nice build but im gunna wait till a fully finished bossing and mobbing build comes out but i understand that takes time and i dont want to be chucking crystallization catalysts down the drain.
First of really nice build and Video thx for that. I Do have a question that is maybe stupid :P I get really good damage from the fusion skills and her ult is a lil bit Hit and miss especially for collossi or without range Expansion. Wouldnt it be a good idea to switch to a chill /fusion Reaktor? Or what am I missing?
viessa's passive is also tech. her ultimate ability deals the most damage, but i can understand how if they walk out, then it doesnt feel like much. against bigger targets, it'll definitely deal a lot more damage you can feel, such as gluttony/molten fortress.
its okay, but not the best since it lacks range. try the cold snap build, where you build duration + range, and when your 3rd ability is placed on the ground, it will continuously deal damage in a large radius.
Might be a stupid question but do you happen to know how the calculation for the gun buffs work? is that additive to your like mods crit chance percentage and that total value is then calculated to the flat percentage? or is the 30 percent of ur final crit chance with mods and reactors sub stats?
i believe it's just 30% of viessa's base crit of 15%, so adding like 4.5% crit total. which is totally negligible if you dont wanna invest into it. i think secret garden might be kinda good tho, if you get lucky with the stacks. about like 50-60% skill power? that sounds pretty significant.
Can you have a similar build running Absolute-Zero instead of Cold-Bloodedness? Reason I ask is because Absolute-Zero has the convenience of changing all of her skills to Singular, so its easier to boost everything in skill power, plus she no longer relies on stacking Ice Shackle, just critting.
right now, i use my bunny exclusively for farming. she has basically infinite mana for infinite sprint, max range, and decent enough damage. however, if I were to make a really good bossing build with crit mods, it locks me out of the farming build. since I have other characters for bossing, i just use bunny for farming. later on when they introduce separate presets, ill for sure make a bunny build, but right now i wouldn't want to share my mediocre bunny build.
this is sick! im using the same build though i swap out max conversion for energy collection. so im trading the - skill cost reduction for enhanced recovery- your build doesn't need it since you kill so fast with blue beetle buff but thought id mention it since it stacks with mp recovery in/out of combat from your components and it lets me never run out of mana for all content. Also good thing is since its Xiantic i can swap it out for Dangerous Ambush for the colussi fights if i want max damage and mp collector- though i think energy collection is far more reliable for farming vs mp collector . and spear and shield i took out for amp control- can flex into outstanding investment if you want more hp i get all my defense from double stack modules. also mp accelerant or maxime range so tons of options.
Hello, I was wondering what were the real effects of upgrading cold bloodedness because the description doesn’t have stats associated to it. Or maybe it just reduce the cost of the rune…
I love this build, but i swear i tried almost anything beside finding a reactor with chill+tech, and i still can't get to 1 million damage with my first ability. I have the same modules, the same weapon (rank 2, not 4, allthought it doesn't change the damage modifier). Is the full dps build modded differently with more focus on damage or range rather than HP perhaps?
hmm, if you're trying to follow the max dps build, i was also running the 4-set slayer set for another 26% skill power. viessa's 1st ability is fusion, so the substat being tech shouldn't matter. i do show the max dps build at 1:27, although not recommended for long play besides farming bosses. so, i guess make sure you have.. - same modules - 4-set slayer - upgraded ultimate reactor - cold-bloodedness active during first ability not sure what else would influence dmg.
@@Wafflicious I'll try that way, and check my damage! Can't wait to see new build. You're the only channel i follow for builds. Keep the content up!! Thank you so much!
yeah its a pain to focus farm. i've gotten several drops at echo swamp - abandoned zone, just farming gold/kuiper. its a rare drop from elite mobs, they'll sometimes drop transcendence mods.
i dont think so, since you'll be using your abilities most of the fight, meaning you wouldn't be proc'ing greg's passive ability very often. if you don't plan to get blue beetle or secret garden, and you've already invested into it + you have a reactor for it, it can be worth using just incase you run out of mana.
for survivability, probably HP mod, then consistent dmg mods and cooldown, like focus on chill, mp conversion and then nimble fingers. you'll mostly be using your gun still until you get cold-bloodedness, since with that mod it truly allows you to spam skills. just make sure to keep any sensor that have max mp + mp in combat, pretty annoying to get.
i haven't, it seems like a strong option. i just thought since this is an ability orientated build, i figured there wouldn't be much of a window to use your weapon.
@@Wafflicious Well, it depends on bossing or mobbing. Testing the blue beetle, it's nice, but it's additive. So 30% ends up being like 5% on the boss. You drop the blizzard and then shoot the clairvoyance, it'll strip the frost resist before the 3rd tick. On the other hand, just running through a dungeon where you're not shooting much if at all, weapon swap back to beetle. They have different ammo, so I'm running both. The only issue is the reactor, as the 4 is tech and the rest arent.
I tested this with a Blue Beetle reactor, and it snapshots the damage stats on cast. You get the full Blue Beetle Blizzard damage even if you weapon swap. You can hit Cold-Bloodedness, swap to Clairvoyance, and get at least 2 ticks off with chill resist stripped. That's max damage.
critical hit rate/dmg is multiplicative. 100% of 15 crit rate will give 30% crit rate. i think the build has 46% skill crit rate, and with the blue beetle buff 50%~
i dont think you talked about the blue beetle enough. is that 30% base crit (this would bring you to 138.15 crit) or multiplicative (this would bring you to 50.55) if its multiplicative you should have just used the clairvoyance. reducing the chill resist would have added more damage then giving yourself 4.5 crit.
yeah i could've went more in-depth into it. if you want a more gun-oriented build, you can definitely use the clairvoyance. i like to just spam my abilities for the most part.
@@Wafflicious hmm not sure but.. i feel the buff from beetle 's not worth.. or i'm wrong? crit rate from 46% up to 50% ... in most of my boss runs i rarely inflict crit hit, rarely can kill bosses before they go in immune state 😐
better for short boss fights. it's kinda annoying with the skillcost modifier, you kinda just lose so much HP cycling thru ur skills that i dont use it for longer bosses like fortress or really swamp walker and above.
components and modules make a big factor. sensor having max mp + mp in combat recovery is insane. then maximize conservation for -35% skillcost, that ontop of coldbloodedness i think -20%? your skills cost half its cost. then you just go around grabbing mana packs by the time you run out of mana, and rinse and repeat. during the immunity phases, having mp out of combat will give you full mana in like 6 seconds too.
@@Wafflicious thank you. I'm on ps4 still and having loads of issues. Controls are to slow and I'm on max sensitivity yet it's still incredibly slow. Also how would I go about getting the sensor your talking about would I have to get it from farming a colossus? And with the build you have my health is just so low so I feel like because my mobility being so bad due to the ps4 and the settings I'm going to die lol
@@dannocannon856 i got my sensor from farming popular farming spots. i think i got this particular one from kuiper mine sterile lands. i think it also depends on the weekly rotation. but yes, ideally you'd want to get your sensor from a boss to get the set effect, however I got lazy, it really would take a long time to farm it, since each boss kill drops around 2 pieces, and it might not even be a sensor sometimes. all the pieces i use are max HP pieces, so that in combination with the modules will really bump your HP. if you really wanted to, you could also use the purple HP mod that reduces shields and gives you more HP, since HP is a more sought after stat.
maybe the secret garden, since it gives skillpower. but if you're actually looking for a weapon to shoot incase you do run out of mana, just any weapon you've already invested into. whether it'd be the tamer/eternal willpower or the thundercage/python (if you use bunny/gley) or enduring legacy
yeah, and now with catalyst presets, you can maximize modules instead of leaving it un-upgraded, such spear and shield. i will say though, it seems viessa is outshined by hailey, so keep that in mind. i do use viessa for farming at certain locations, with cold snap watch/coldbloodedness.
the sensor having max mp + mp in combat, and the memory having MP modifier is very important. then finally that maximize conservation for -35% skillcost is big too, or you can try that mp recovery xantic mod.
i farmed a decent bit before the valby fortress nerf, but i still farm that with cold snap viessa, and when im feeling lazy, i head over to kuiper mine at sterile lands.
try Echo Swamp Abandoned Refinery Unit with Bunny. the elite mob at the end of the mission can drop Cold-Blood mod, but a very low chance. I'd imagine its like 1 or 2% chance, but atleast you can farm decent weapon exp, gold and kuiper. hopefully u get it on the side while grinding out other stuff!
Why the Blue Beetle? Because the horribly designed ultimate "weapon mounting" system forces you to actively hold a specific ultimate weapon in your hands or lose out on the majority of your skill damage. Invested a ton of resources in other weapons to weave between your skills and mana downtime. Tough luck. You aren't allowed to use them. Instead use this specific weapon even though you will never fire a shot with it. Gotta wonder what the heck the devs were thinking with that system or if they even were.
It's not that bad, skills snapshot so you can weave weapons/skills if you need to. What's horrible is the catalyst system because once you lock in a slot, you are heavily penalized the more you do it. This kills the build diversity and with more challenging content being added, it will become worse.
Bro every youtuber has their modules maxed out, how?? How do you get so much Kuiper shards to max out everything, please Enlighten Me, I only know sterile land mission but I don’t wanna do it 24x7
i mostly farm the fortress valby run with cold-snap viessa, and kuiper mine in sterile lands. it still takes a ton of time, but i do play a lot, which is how i farmed up much gold and kuiper.
@@GyanPrakashIf you have enzo, you can also farm kuiper very easily by unlocking vaults with code breakers. Just make sure it’s the hard mode vaults because they give a lot of
It literally isn't better lol. CV's base damage is so bad that it's absolutely worse than almost any other option (b/c Nexon nerfed beam weapons hard). Math is out there all over Reddit if you want it. If it enhanced your spells, sure, but all the debuff does is buff CV's damage, not yours (and the debuff is super short). Unfortunately it's horrible and not only not better, but one of the *worst* options.
Goto Abandoned Refinery in Echo swamp, hard mode. Run it, 30 seconds to 1min completion time if a bunny is there, 3 transcendent mods drop there. Explosive evade for esiemo, cold bloodedness for viessa, and power unit for lepic.
has the defense and hp covered up by his face box cause he has none. scrubbing the floor all the time, screaming help me. I do no damage during team play cause i cant stand 🤣
blue beetle only gives 4.5% crit chance for viessa...the gun used to be great and offer flat crit rate increase to abilities in beta...but it seems to of been gutted and while it does offer a little boost to crit i find the gun very bleh now....loved it in beta...was a great skill focused build gun...not so much anymore :( ...is sad, want to cry lol oh, the crit rate was 30% flat crit rate...so that would of made viessa's base crit 45% and with a blue crit hit rate mod you could of had 100% crit chance on abilities....i understand they wanted to nerf it...but the way they changed it's it's basically a rank 3 crit hit mod...very very weak...if it's going to work like it is in it's current state they should make it 130% crit rate instead of 30...but honestly i'm a fan of ultimate weapons that i spend a week grinding out to actually feel like ultimates and would prefer the flat 30% crit increase so could fill out the builds with some variety and flavor or your choosing....honestly...same goes for using it on a lot of descendants that have a damage focus with abilities. again...i weep for this weapon that was blue beetle :(

what if no maximize conservation.. my slot 's xantic.. for dangerous ambush already 🤥
maybe try energy collection, it's about 60% mp recovery that's also xantic.
@@Wafflicious hmm not sure but.. i feel the buff from beetle 's not worth.. or i'm wrong? crit rate from 46% up to 50% ... in most of my boss runs i rarely inflict crit hit, rarely can kill bosses before they go in immune state 😐
omw, almost same viessa build
would the slayer set be better for the gley build?
better for short boss fights. it's kinda annoying with the skillcost modifier, you kinda just lose so much HP cycling thru ur skills that i dont use it for longer bosses like fortress or really swamp walker and above.
How do you have enough MP though it just runs out so fast
components and modules make a big factor. sensor having max mp + mp in combat recovery is insane.
then maximize conservation for -35% skillcost, that ontop of coldbloodedness i think -20%? your skills cost half its cost.
then you just go around grabbing mana packs by the time you run out of mana, and rinse and repeat. during the immunity phases, having mp out of combat will give you full mana in like 6 seconds too.
Any other weapons that anyone can recommend instead of the blue Beetle?
maybe the secret garden, since it gives skillpower.
but if you're actually looking for a weapon to shoot incase you do run out of mana, just any weapon you've already invested into.
whether it'd be the tamer/eternal willpower
or the thundercage/python (if you use bunny/gley) or enduring legacy
@@Wafflicious got it, thanks for the help!
Is this build still viable?
yeah, and now with catalyst presets, you can maximize modules instead of leaving it un-upgraded, such spear and shield.
i will say though, it seems viessa is outshined by hailey, so keep that in mind.
i do use viessa for farming at certain locations, with cold snap watch/coldbloodedness.
i must be doing something wrong because i have the same build and i dont nearly do same dmg to kill him in one rotation
Cus hes lying its on easy mode.
@@torinkemp47 Nope, thats on hard mode based on dmg hits.
How can I displays full buff and debuff texts on console
try checking your game settings. something like show buffs (all)/(enemy)/(ally), i have it set to all
I tried this build and I keep running out of mana T_T
but also Im only on Normal Viessa
the sensor having max mp + mp in combat, and the memory having MP modifier is very important. then finally that maximize conservation for -35% skillcost is big too, or you can try that mp recovery xantic mod.
@@Wafflicious Thank you. Time for me to go back to the farming T_T
How did you farm up so much gold?
i farmed a decent bit before the valby fortress nerf, but i still farm that with cold snap viessa, and when im feeling lazy, i head over to kuiper mine at sterile lands.
I havent get cold bloodness😢
try Echo Swamp Abandoned Refinery Unit with Bunny. the elite mob at the end of the mission can drop Cold-Blood mod, but a very low chance.
This kills the build diversity and with more challenging content being added, it will become worse.
too bad that cold blood not giving shield regen when use, it should become good shield spam build with slayer set since that set alr give alot shield
@@Wafflicious Thanks!
@@GyanPrakashIf you have enzo, you can also farm kuiper very easily by unlocking vaults with code breakers. Just make sure it’s the hard mode vaults because they give a lot of
Blue beetle is horrendous to farm
I just don't like cold bloodness, sure you can throw lots of skills out but then you run out of mp in seconds. I dunno.. i prefer the other ones.
I'm sorry but clairvoyance is literally better but it's a nice passive
It literally isn't better lol. CV's base damage is so bad that it's absolutely worse than almost any other option (b/c Nexon nerfed beam weapons hard). Math is out there all over Reddit if you want it.
If it enhanced your spells, sure, but all the debuff does is buff CV's damage, not yours (and the debuff is super short). Unfortunately it's horrible and not only not better, but one of the *worst* options.
@@nerdock4747 you have no clue what you're talking about. You don't use 'cv' as a weapon
Idk how y’all get cold-blooded to drop lol
Goto Abandoned Refinery in Echo swamp, hard mode. Run it, 30 seconds to 1min completion time if a bunny is there, 3 transcendent mods drop there. Explosive evade for esiemo, cold bloodedness for viessa, and power unit for lepic.
was searching for other shyt then boom ....dropped lol
Nah, bro has no life, that Viessa Hairstyle alone is worth the grind, I got all my answers, I’m done 😊
has the defense and hp covered up by his face box cause he has none. scrubbing the floor all the time, screaming help me. I do no damage during team play cause i cant stand 🤣
pinned comment shows character stats, and the video shows my HP since i have details on.
you're not wrong tho! floor POV in action :p
Actual psychosis.
this build is garbage
blue beetle only gives 4.5% crit chance for viessa...the gun used to be great and offer flat crit rate increase to abilities in beta...but it seems to of been gutted and while it does offer a little boost to crit i find the gun very bleh now....loved it in beta...was a great skill focused build gun...not so much anymore :( ...is sad, want to cry lol
oh, the crit rate was 30% flat crit rate...so that would of made viessa's base crit 45% and with a blue crit hit rate mod you could of had 100% crit chance on abilities....i understand they wanted to nerf it...but the way they changed it's it's basically a rank 3 crit hit mod...very very weak...if it's going to work like it is in it's current state they should make it 130% crit rate instead of 30...but honestly i'm a fan of ultimate weapons that i spend a week grinding out to actually feel like ultimates and would prefer the flat 30% crit increase so could fill out the builds with some variety and flavor or your choosing....honestly...same goes for using it on a lot of descendants that have a damage focus with abilities. again...i weep for this weapon that was blue beetle :(
So this weapon isn't necessary then? cause the build looks greatbut I don't feel like farming that gun 5x
@@SnoopVee yeah, the weapon isn't necessary. it's only a 4.5% crit chance increase, you can just use any main gun you already invested into!
I screwed up n made the hyperthermia build then oh well
