thank you for the tutorial .. knowing how to sew helped me to understand your guide, however, it would be helpful if you used the correct names for the fabric, such as tulle for the soft net and satin for the underskirt then it will help not to get confused .. but i am going to try to make this simple skirt because the ones selling on amazon look so cheap . i want one for my wedding shower ,...thank you very much

Thanks so much Yvonne for the feedback and am grateful. The soft is 3 times your hip size and the hard and satin is your hip size x 2 . You can increase based on how full you want the skirt to be

I use loose stitching. Your machine has a setting where you select how loose or tight you want your stitching to be. 1 is very tight and the highest number is the one you choose. I hope this helps
So do you add 7inches so that the skirt will be loose?
To be full and with the elastic waistband it's alright.you can add more than 7 if you want big volume
