Took me a while when I was younger to realize the best way to learn tricks is to skate. I thought I'd magically learn new information after watching like 20 trick tips.
I used to watch this video in 2008. It's probably the best video there is to learn the tre flip. Watching someone do it so effortlessly and consistently, shows you that it really isn't that hard.
Its 11.01.24r. and I just remembered words "you're gonna wanna put your front foot..." from 10-15 years earlier, when I used to skate and wanted to learn how to do 360 flip. I'm super surprised that this video still exists :')
Just one little tip i have for everyone which I found helped me when trying to learn tre's was not to focus on popping it too high, if you just go for the scoop rather than the pop, you'll notice that it pops automatically when you scoop....if you focus to much on popping the board high, you'll probably do varial spins.

Well in my opinion, when you tre flip you(depending on your pop,which obviously comes with time) you need to jump high enough to let the board get a proper rotation. Also, what most people usually tend to do is try to force the trick to rotate. It takes a while to be able to get a decent rotation and flip. Oh and scooping is a huge factor(but for some it feels comfortable popping more than scooping).
@Deathangels2901 you just gotta keep experimenting with different foot placements. just keep practicing it. also when you scoop remember to scoop it not directly behind you. scoop it towards your front foot. pause this video when he is just leaving the board. you will see that his back foot is pointing forward and not backwards. when you scoop it forward it stays under you. hope this helps somewhat
Wow i remember when last year i watched this sooo many times and i thought "argh if only i could land it"... And now it's my favourite trick, and i land it almost every time i try it. I can also do it down small gaps :) - So, guys, don't give up, and keep trying, 'cause once you'll have learnt trey, you'll fall in love with him!!! ;)
@guitarpunk1039 You're thinking of a kickflip 360. The difference is where you put the number. 360 kickflip = board rotates full 360 degrees on both axes (plural for axis). Kickflip 360 = board flips and both you and board rotate full 360 degrees.
make sure your really compressing your back foot and pop as hard as you can in that pocket! forget about your front foot just get it out the way of the rotation! :) hope i helped! by the way if your still not getting the full 360 try more scoop than pop!

hey i know what you mean i used to have that problem, you just need to make sure your front foot flicks straight forward and not like off to the side.
