Thanks for this explanation. The manual is not clear when trying to explain this. There is a crude drawing of this adjustment but the manual does not tell us where this adjustment takes place on the tractor. I crawled all around looking for something that looked similar to the drawing and never found it. Now that I know it’s on the rear and only on the left side and deep inside near the wheel I can now make the adjustment, no thanks to the manual, but thanks to you.
I don’t use a mid mount mower and I noticed yesterday that the arms were down. Thank you for showing me how to raise them. I don’t like to read manuals either!
Thanks for the advice. My Kubota was behaving properly for a while. Currently, I have the big mountain mower on. When I put it to the top position and want to use my three point hitch the mid mount mower lowers with a three-point hitch. It makes me nuts. I will try that adjustment in the rear and see if I can get it to work properly. I appreciate you your videos, advice/experience very much!!
Man, been fooling around a couple hours now trying to figure out why the mid arms got stuck down while installing a new-to-me MMM. Went to at least check out this adjustment and saw the nut had come off that held those arms together. 3 hours to find, 3 secs to fix! Thanks for posting.
I always dread the moment I have to put my midmount mower on my BX. The nob is set to 1 and three point is all the way down by the mount brackets do not come down. The only way to fix it is to take a 2x4, slide it on top and knock with a mallet. After that the mower mount goes down. Once it is installed, it works as supposed to. However, after removing it and installing the next time, I have to go through the same process again. This is not how it was advertised to me. Took it to a dealership but they did not provide any practical explanation either.
THANK YOU! The arms on my BX have "sagged" over time, and it irritated me (especially after I got one hung up on a rock at one point last year). I've got the knob set to "TOP" as much as I can and it still sags. Of course, I haven't RTFM yet and just assumed I needed to bump it up every once in a while. Now that I've added the BXpanded skid plate, it's more pronounced and it's an adjust-it-at-every-startup thing now. I'll have to see if adjusting that linkage will help fix that.

Quick clarification questions, there are several references to : 'Locked in TOP position" Can I assume TOP is also "Transport Position" 1) Is TOP more secure because it is "Locked" ? 2) and why/what is the risk of: "DANGER • Never operate the mower in transport position ."
BXPANDED makes a great belly guard that just takes a minute to install. After you remove the mowing deck it hooks in the arms. It will save your cooling fan from a sapling breaking it. Great product. Been using it for 3 years now. 😊

I was using my box blade in a rocky field, hit a stump and pulled my right arm off the latch, thankfully it didn't bend... still trying to figure out how to get it rehung on the iron nob it attaches to.
I had mine get stuck like that once and I had bent one of the arms a little moving brush, I had to crawl under it to see where it was stuck and bend it back a little.
I tried adjusting my mmm arms to lock into top position. Using the adjustment procedure you showed mine still won't go to top position. I still have mower mounted. Does this need to be of to get arms to lock into top position?
Hi Peek, enjoy your video, haven't seen one that was full of fluff yet. So many just like to hear themselves talk. This was helpful. I'm a new tractor owner, bought a used bx2380 from an owner. Belly mower, drive over, ugghhh, box blade and front end loader with bucket. I wasn't using the mower because I have a gravely zero turn. it's acting up so I put the belly mower on. I have a question. I can't lower the belly mower without lowering the 3pt hitch with box blade, do you know if that's possible? If so, could you explain the process. Thanks again, looked in the manual and I don't see an explanation.
The only way I’m aware of is to use a chain and wrap it around the 3 point arm and hook it to the hole on the top right side above where the upper arms attach. They do not use downward hydraulic pressure so if you chain it in the upright position it will stay while you mow. I typically just remove everything before I mow. It’s kind of a pain…
It must either be set in “top” where it is locked in the upright position or it is somehow jammed and stuck. I had mine get stuck because I bent a part on it. I had to get under it and pry it loose then straighten the arm…
The problem I have is when I go to put my mower deck back on the dang arm dont want to come down I have to pull them down done that since it was new.also when I'm trying to attach deck the arms at the bottom won't line up with the deck like the space between the fingers isn't open enough have to use a pry bar to help it in. Since it was new dealership said that they didn't want to fix it they would have to charge me because of customer error. I was like it's been that way since it was new steams me up full just have to fix it myself like all the other stuff that was wrong lol.
I bent these and it was a miserable job replacing it. Still don’t know how I did it. Probably could have heated and bent it back but I just bought a new one for $50. Dealer said they’d never seen one damaged.
@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead maybe because it’s a small dealer, it’s Evans equipment in remsen ny. Does make me feel better I’m not alone, thought I was just really hard on equipment (well I am anyway). I think they sell a fair amount but nowhere near the big dealers. I do have to say by the way I like how you’ve covered a few things that I hadn’t seen covered by anyone else, real things that happen when you use these little tractors hard. Good stuff man!
Lucas help me out here, I just bought a brand new BX23s. I’m coming from a B2650. My service tech told me, there is no position to pin the mower lift arms on BX like there is on my old B2650. That doesn’t make sense and you just showed me the “top” position. So just to confirm the TOP position (which I cannot currently reach, must be out of adjustment) is the pinned position after all???
Great video .. Hardest thing for me to get use to was adjusting height at top before lowering to mow. Years later its a cake walk :)

I had to take mine off and straighten it. It was a little tricky to get it all lined back up.
Bought my BX in summer of 23. Trying to install deck for the spring and My adjustment arms are stuck in the up position.

Yeah that is frustrating. I actually opened mine up a little and they slide in much better now.

Yes, it will hold the arms up while you use your 3 point without the mower deck installed.
