I went to purchase vimle new color today i m in love with it but the representative at Ikea said in conversation that they are going to discontinue this design... Now i feel like why discontinue is there any issue or is it not so popular or what about 10 yrs warranty if they discontinue, what if i want to extend my sofa according to my need later on as described in video..or even just want to change covers n get new look..

Dhara Gadhvi there’s always rumors like that. They said the same about the ektorp sofa and they wound up just redesigning it a bit. Your warranty should still be fine, if they don’t have the couch then they’d probably make it up with one they do have or refund you. I wouldn’t worry about that part. Also, I just ordered the vimle sofa, so they’re still in stock as of now.

It all sounds good, but have you seen how the sofas slowly fall apart in regarding to the cushions and covers. It looks sooo sloppy I have never seen anything like it.I am not spending my money on crap like this.When is Ikea going to wake up. No one want to spend money on things that looks like crap and falls apart after a year. Regarding the Ektorp sofa. do to the shape of the arms of the sofa, the covers looks crappy and twist and turn, not to mention at the bottom with the legs. If you look at the pictures on other of Ikeas sofas, the fabric around the sofa is at times lose.Not sitting plush to the sofa. The list is long.Ikea, you can just google your sofas and see how many of your sofas is up for sale again and how they look like after 1 year of use. Stop making crap. Your bookcases is also something not to call home about just to point out 1 more furniture. Things look good but it does not hold up for long.
