As always, thanks so much for watching and leaving such lovely comments. I appreciate you all so much! I have been wondering about making an additional video each month where I address the questions you ask in the comments. Mary does this on the White Cottage Company channel, and I always enjoy it. Since I am struggling to appropriately respond to all of your comments, I thought it might be something I could add to my channel. Is this something that you would be interested in watching?
Yes! I love Mary!
Yes! Good idea!!
definitely!
I would be interested.
Excellent video and great idea inspiration. Thank you.
Hoooray, I just found you……the fact that you pay attention to the details of your projects make them look professionally done. No frayed edges, unattached corners and even the undersides are finished off. Nice work! Thanks for sharing your ideas and techniques. Im a fan. 👍
Good to see that color is finally making it's way back into the home decor scene
I agree!!!
Just when I thought last week's post was my favorite. My lands lady! I wanna be neighbors. 😁 Or at least find the same thrift stores. 😉👍
Good morning, Kimberly! So glad you liked today’s video. I do have a really good Goodwill five minutes away. Since the pandemic began, their prices have been so cheap! 🥰
I know right?!
I love that you recycle and repurpose. There is so much waste in home decor, so much gets thrown out and ends up in landfills. It's awesome that you show folks how to find joy in their homes with less waste. :)
The beaded seat cover was genius. I’ll be looking for one to take apart.
I said the same thing!
I have enough beads that I may never buy a bead again!😜
@@CanterburyCottage Love the video to know what's on trend and to recreate them, Thank. What is the best way to make a gold picture frame look antique to add a black and white photo?
@@rosem4119 If you want to keep it gold, you could distress it a bit with sandpaper and then use antiquing wax. I also like black frames with black and white photos-paint them with black chalk paint, distress, and use antiquing wax.
Found ones Goodwill but Walmart have them in automotive dept
You are so very creative, Sherry, and I enjoy watching you transform and repurpose everyday items into something entirely different. Your attention to detail (such as finishing off the backs of pictures/artwork) is exceptional and appreciated. Each of these projects was very lovely. Thank you for sharing. I love your channel and eagerly await new videos! God’s blessings! 🌸🦋🌺
OH MY! Using the car seat cover for beads is genius!!
You must be dreaming some of these ideas because one person couldn’t come up with so many cool ideas during the day for five days. Then we forget the time it takes you to gather supplies and film and edit it all for us every week. Thank you so so much for inspiring us. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next week!
Thank you, Carol! 🥰 Yes, it is a full-time job. Every week I hope to get ahead because I would like to have an extra video that I could show if my husband and I take a short vacation, but most weeks I barely finish by Tuesday. Maybe, this week.🤪
The gold feather sconce is gorgeous! And, the blue & white prints & vase are also particularly lovely. All great projects! Thank you for sharing. 🌾
Each time I think, it can't get any better, guess what? You amaze me. Blue and white/silver always catch my eye, I love the combo, so needless to say, the lamp turned urn is my number 1. Everything is beautiful and I love it all. Tuesday is always a surprise...Thanks to you.
You never fail to impress me; your creativity is endless.
You can say that again! Genius! Loved the top dupe! I would have never thought of that. Thanks!
Yes! ☝️
Love your glasses frame can you ssy where you bought it
In the morning, my daughters hair sort of looks like the busts "hair." 😆 They were too cute.
LOL! 🪴
I love how you finish all your items with such care. You are so inspiring.
Another great video with so much diy inspiration! I feel like I’m watching an HGTV show when I watch your videos! You are so good at this, Sherry 😀😀😀
I hope HGTV sees her videos
Wow, thank you! I always appreciate your kind comments, Marina!🥰
Better than most on HGTV! 💙
Besides loving your ideas and projects, you are really a great speaker!
💚🌿💚I NEVER EVER would have thought to turn the bust into planter heads. They will certainly sell now!
You make some of the best crafts. And I love everyone of the. Have a blessed day🥰
I truly appreciate your attention to detail on every surface of your projects. So much of what you see on other channels looks fine from one angle, but is an obvious DIY when you look at the back/bottom/inside.
Absolutely love the lace in the frame. I have framed so many doilies and beautiful crocheted artwork in my home! Another idea I've done is I've taken old iron floor vents and hang them up on my wall. I've also use the most Chargers under my dishes. Fun idea:-)
Floor vents-that is genius! Thanks so much for watching and commenting, Andrea!🥰
Once again, I truly enjoyed the lovely art and you included in today's show. The metal and wood art turned out beautifully! Thank you for sharing your gift!
I love love love watching your ideas. Love the blue prints!
Your kitty at 19:01 is an adorable little helper!!! 😻 ❤️ 🐾 🐈
Oh to think of all the wooden bead car seat back massagers I've thrown away throughout the years 🤦. Sherry you have done it again, your creativity just blows my mind! Thanks so much, you are so incredibly inspiring! I bet you were an incredible teacher❤️😊
Thank you! 🥰 That is so very kind of you to say! I miss my students (but I don’t miss grading papers)!
I can't pick a favorite. I love them all.
Thanks Sherry, always interesting.
DIY queen! Your eye for what pops is amazing! Blessed and safe days
I was feeling bad about cutting up a $1 blouse from the thrift store. You have made me feel better about it. Thanks. Tina
I LOVE the Butterfly in the GLASS DISH.... MY FAVORITE IS THE FRAMED LACE REPRESENTING FRAMED ART.....
Thank you, Elaine!🥰 When I happened to see that blouse at Goodwill, it immediately reminded me of the paper art that I am seeing everywhere!
I ran into your videos about 5 days ago and pretty much fell down a rabbit hole. I have watched you doing your thing for days and days🤣 Every time I think I have seen it all, you come up with something else.. I love the bust planters. Thank you so much for the inspiration!
You’re absolutely amazing ! Everything was beautiful .I like the way you think out of the box!🙏❤️
Thank you so much, Mari!🥰 I’m so glad you enjoyed today’s video.
Great dupes, I love your creative approach to thrift store finds. Thanks for sharing!
Those leaves in black frames are glorious! Not my style, But i can see giving them as a gift. Love your channel Sherri❤❤❤❤❤❤
Pretty pieces. Love the framed blue prints.
Everything was beautiful. Love the lamp hack.
You are nothing short of amazing! Clever, doable projects.
Your eye for design and endless creativity is amazing. I love each of these projects. Years ago I put small doilies in small square frames I painted gold, and added a cameo in the center. They’ve been in my bedroom since. I love seeing lace, fabric used in wall art, which I’ve done for years. Glad it’s popular again lol. I save many of your videos for my future craft/DIY projects. ❤️🌺
Cameos are classic-always beautiful! I am so glad you enjoyed today’s video, Judith!🥰
I had doilies from my mom that I couldn’t part with, so I glued them to a burlap covered canvas and added pieces of her costume jewelry. I get so many compliments on it. Then a friend gave me yards of old lace tablecloths and I used them to cover canvases as well. Thanks for your comment!! 😃😃
That gold leaf wall sconce is perfection!
As I watch each project I keep thinking, “Oh, that’s my favorite!” But it’s so hard to pick. Each one is so creative and beautiful. I think the paper art made with the lace blouse was absolute genius and so pretty - I love how your mind works and can look at an unattractive blouse and see a project. Everything is so wonderful - thanks for the inspiration! ~Linda
I am so glad if I can give you some inspiration, Linda! 🥰 It was a busy week, so I am so pleased that you enjoyed today’s projects!
The large vases in cream were great and the blue and white lamp base turned vase.... soooooo clever, lady friend
And " W O W " on the ice bucket turned planter!
You are a Master Repurposer and a fabulous teacher! I am blown away by your creativity!!
I love the blue and white decor. It is timeless.
Great dupes, love them all. You always find great lamps at your thrift stores for repurposing. Think my fave is the hanging plants on a rod as I'm into plants at minute. My local high end garden centre is selling rustic sticks on twine, and bark decor with fake plants stuck on, so easy to recreate your own.
Those sound interesting-I’m going to have to look for them at my garden center!😀
Beautiful projects!!! 👏👏💕
Love all of them! You have an Amazing talent! Also, love that you take the time to finish the back with paper and tape.
Have a Great Week!
Her projects always look professionally done
White jar grouping just brilliant!!!
I just adore your channel it lifts my day when I see you have posted.
I personally think your "lace" fabric painting at 11:59 looks much👌🏻better than the paper wall art that it is based on. Just beautiful 😍.
Love the feather sconce. I'm surprised at the resurgence of gold/brass. Pillow turned woven wall art is awesome. Also, framing the blouse, Bravo! Your ideas are endless.
I know-brass is back! Good style always comes back around!😀
You are fortunate to get an apprentice who pays such careful attention as you model your crafting techniques.
Yes, and she loves to help me type on my keyboard, too! 🐈
These were all amazing! I love the uniqueness of each piece. Very similar yet unique by their own right. You are such a smart cookie!
Thank you so much, Ms. Chick! 🥰
You are so very inspiring, particularly about reusing things around the home. For Christmas this year, I am giving my daughter in law a mirror of mine that she has always admired. I just repainted it to match her decor and placed a little hook at the top so she can hang a wreath or something. I made a jute twine star and hung it with a small piece of jute. Looks very festive! Cant wait to give it to her. Thanks again Sherry! And I am not going to pass up one of those beaded car seat covers!!
Good morning, Sherry! What a treasure trove of creativity in this episode! Every dupe turned out beautifully & well made, as always. Thank you for inspiring & sharing. 😊
Good morning, Bobbie! I’m so glad you enjoyed today’s projects-it was a busy week. Have a great week-we are supposed to have fantastic weather (no rain) all week!🥰
I so love the way you give attention to the backs of your recreations......that counts too to the overall professional look you give each project.
Beautiful. Everything but the leaf sconce and shirt turned textured wall art are my favorites.
Once again, I am amazed that you can fit so many projects into a 20 minute video. I can’t wait for Thursday mornings open up your page. You are so inspiring and I really enjoy watching these. Bravo! Once again. I can’t wait till next Tuesday. Lol
Jackie, that is so very sweet of you to say! I am so glad that you liked today’s video-it was a busy week.🥰
Great inspirations! Love the blue too!
Well, I'm off to a thrift again! Thanks for inspiration and sharing. Beautiful DIYs today.
It amazes me all the things you come up with. You really put thought and effort into this. If someone looked at your items and guessed where you bought them, they would chose high end sources and never believe you made them.⭐⭐⭐ I love seeing how you can stretch an item so you end up with multiple new pieces for your home. The frames you used for the blue florals are so pretty!!
Thank you so much! You made my day with all of your kind comments!🥰
You are so talented. Thank you for sharing your gift.
Sherry, it is always such a pleasure to see what you will share next. I especially love the framed piece you did with the blouse. I must start looking for interesting items of clothing to incorporate into my crafts. Your channel is unique. Love that your kitty made an appearance this time!
My word, I bet you don't sleep a wink at night with all these ideas whirling in your mind!!! Absolutely lovely things on this video. Wish I had time to make them all. Keep them coming!!
Thank you so much, Angel! 🥰
Great ideas and your clear instructions make doing it myself possible. Thank you!!
That metal frame 😍
Lovely, ingenious ideas. I rarely buy any decorative items brand new and I love making things. My husband made me a tiered tray from three enamel dishes yesterday, using a cake stand fitting. I was very impressed by your metal and wood shelf and the gold metal flowers in the box shelf; it looks like it was originally designed that way.
Thank you!🥰 I’m so glad that you liked today’s projects. You are lucky to have a handy husband!
We purchased new furniture for our den at Ashley just a few days ago. As a matter of fact we are still awaiting delivery of some pieces. As my husband was testing out chairs for himself, I browsed through the rest of the store. Several decor pieces caught my eye, but once I saw the price tags I wasn't nearly as interested in them. I knew I could replicate most of them for MUCH less! And I knew that I could count on you and a few of my other favorite RUclipsrs if I needed help. You never disappoint! Thanks and do please keep it coming.
Yes, I, too, was in Ashley recently scouting decor for this video. Their furniture is reasonably priced, but the decor was so pricey!
Love love the thrift store vases. They are so stunning and cost effective. Although they are both beautiful, the one with the ridges is my faviorite.
The bead wall decor is really nice. I've seen bead garlands that are really costly and love the way you used the set of beads that you found.
I look forward to your videos every Tuesday. You are amazingly creative and doing everything on a budget is great. Thank you for your posts and giving us ideas to make our own homes beautiful on a budget! You have become my favorite DIY'er on RUclips!
Thank you, Sharon! I am super flattered to be your favorite! 🥰
You knocked it out of the ballpark 💛💐
Brilliant ideas! I already have a couple of large pots and can paint and distress!
I could never drill holes in those gorgeous busts. I have 2 sets. I adore them. ❤️
I think the busts are cute, too, but I had them in my booth for the longest time, and no one was buying them. I think adding the plants updates them. Young people are crazy for plants right now.
Just discovered your channel. I am blown away at your amazing ability to see how you can transform ordinary things into beautiful, clever, practical pieces!!! I wish I had your artistic insight, but watching your channel gives me ideas that I will most certainly use. Your ideas will stay in my head as I go to the thrift stores. You have a gift! Thanks for sharing.
I could listen to you all day, you would have made a great teacher, and I truly am inspired by your projects
Thank you so much! Genevieve, I was a high school English teacher for 31 years.
You never cease to amaze! Thank you for the beautiful ideas and great instructions!!
I don't go for fads, but you are so talented. Everything you make is so beautiful.
Love the butterfly. Now I know what todo with moss!
Using the beads from that beaded car seat cover was the best thing ever. Beads can be so expensive and those beads looked awesome. Enjoyed all your ideas, thank you for sharing another great show.
Thank you! I still have two huge bowls full of beads, too!
I absolutely love your videos. It's so much fun watching how you come up with your creations from the inspiration pieces. 🤗
You have a unique talent for seeing value in items and transforming them! Blessed and safe days!
The woven textile project was my favorite! So clever!
The leaf wall sconce is fabulous. You are such a creative thinker and artist
A lot of the designs you did today would fall under the "boho" category, of which I'm not a huge fan. However, I love how you were able to use your creations/dupes with your more traditional decor and they blended in beautifully. It inspired me to be a bit more open to mixing other styles in with my traditional stuff to freshen it up a bit. Really great video, as per usual!
Thanks, Kim. Yes, the boho decor is so popular right now, but most of it is not for me either.
Absolutely beautiful and perfect
Your ideas are beautiful. The lamp that you made into a jar out of this world. You would never guess it was made from a lamp. I love it. Your very creative.
Again, I am in awe of these projects!
You are so very creative!! I absolutely LOVE all your projects!!!!! You do a wonderful thorough job of explaining your process also! So inspiring!! Thank you!!
Thank you so much, Melinda! That is so kind of you to say!🥰
Clicking onto your video that was in my recommendation weeks ago was the best decision I made
Wow, Sheri, you are really amazing! All the projects are so close to the originals that you can hardly tell the difference. Fab job! The idea of a video to answer questions would be wonderful.
I'm going to look for the beaded seat cover. Amazing idea and transformation. TFS
What a great video full of inspiration! Thanks Sherrie.
Good morning Sherry! What lovely video today. So many fun ideas and inspiration. Thank you so much! 💓
Good morning, Marie! I’m so glad you enjoyed today’s video!🥰 Thanks for watching and commenting!
I hardly bought store bought stuff, mostly thrift store find and make them mine.beautiful job great ideas ❤️
You’re my kind of girl, Kathy!😬
You never cease to amaze me!! I would never have thought to do any of these projects. Not only do you make it look easy , but it looks ‘high end’.
Thank you so much, Katherine! I really appreciate your kind comments!🥰
I LOVE Parker Gwen!! Most of my furniture has been purchased through them. They’re stuff is great, and the prices are super reasonable!! I never hear anyone else mention them so I was so excited when you did!!
Good morning Sherry :) My boys and I are going thrifting all day today and hitting all our local goodwills, so I’m keeping my eyes open for items to use in some dupe home decor. Thanks for the inspiration! Hope you have an amazing week!
Have a wonderful day thrifting! Hope you find some treasures! 🥰
@@CanterburyCottage thank you….me too!! :)
So happy I found your channel! I love them all but I especially love the gold leaf sconce and GW pillow artwork.
I'm thinking you have a background in art or decorating because you are so creative! Loved everything!
That is very sweet of you to say!🥰 I am a former English teacher, but my college roommate was an artist. Does that count?
I love the large urn painted white and made to look old! Thank you for another batch of great dupes!
Thanks for clear, motivating instructions.
