I must say that you're the sole reason I discovered The Red Dragon Inn, got tabletop simulator, and ended up becoming quite a fan of the game and having multiple gatherings of my friends to play it in VR mode constantly. Thank you for that. I was hoping to see the mercenaries play that game again, but with different characters, heck, I was even willing to give you the session that I put together for VR players, implementing a 3D environment to suit the setting, but at least I can thank you for introducing me to that game. It didn't matter that your animation style was severely minimalistic, with only singular shots most of the time, just hearing the mercenaries go at each other like actual friends despite being mercenaries, instead of being another edgy dark humour thing, was a real breath of fresh air, and was the sole reason I actually enjoyed watching the mercenaries play tabletop games in the 1st place. I honestly think that you struck gold there, and I really wish I could have seen more of those, but I understand you taking a break. As a well known scientist once said to a theoretical physicist... “Bon voyage, and best of luck in your future endeavors.”
I will say, I have been planning on doing some ai voice stuff with not just mann co.'s mercs, but other characters as well (sonic and mlp are among the list btw). Part of the inspiration came from your vids. Regardless of whether you resume the videos or not, I will definitely source you for the original idea. Also, if I ever get them up and running, if you want, I can send the links your way so you can see them for yourself.
I just have to say that you speaking as Soldier made me a little sad since Rick May, the voice actor for Soldier, has died in 2020 due to Covid. The way you were saying goodbye and thanking everyone made me think that Rick is saying goodbye to us all. Thank you for that and for all the amazing videos that you have made. I hope that you enjoy your break.
