MK I must correct you. We don't necessarily need to grate apples to the core ... this would deprive the cook aka me, from crunching down the rest of each apple 😂😂😂😂

Baked this today for my family in a 10 inch cake tin for 50 minutes. It's a very delicious cake! Thank you for the recipe. I just reduced the sugar in the cheese buttercream to 300 g. It was still a little bit too sweet but we all loved it. 😋
I made this today but instead of a cake I made cupcakes with the apple filling in the middle and whipped white chocolate ganache on top. They were soooooo good 😩❤️❤️

As i plan on baking thia for my upcoming trip to the mountains ( alhamdolilah this is happening after almoat more than a decade)😂 could you please tell ua what apples are good for baking. In Pakistan, we have a wide variof applea but I can only differentiate them on the baaia of theie cokoir and smell 😅. So I suppose juiciness of an apple ia something thag would determine their suitability for baking. TIA *hugs*

Heya! :) Spooning the flour into the cup should work fine (and level the top), or you could also fluff up the top of the flour in the bag and then scoop it out with the measuring cup too :)

I never peel apples for baking, I just ignore that part of the recipe as (1) it’s extra work (2) it’s food waste (3) apple skin has lots of nutrients in and (4) I like the texture of lil peely bits in the bake
Good question! This recipe doesn't require you to peel the apples :) because the apples are shredded, the skin is very fine and basically melts into the batter so you don't even know the skin is in the cake :)

If butter was used instead of oil in the cake, would the cake be too dense?
This may be the case once the cake is cool! It will likely also not be as moist so I do recommend using the oil if possible :)

I am not too sure about a good substitute sorry! You could use a plain vanilla buttercream instead and add cinnamon to it if you like :)
