Im Norwegian, and I’ve never tasted Rekekabaret. But URGE is definitely a good choice of drink. Its my favorite ;) The solo super you drank is the worst drink I know of haha. Oh also! The super solo’s have no sugar, same with the orange urge. The green one is with sugar. We have a lot of no sugar sodas. The bun you ate. Its a skolebolle(school bun) with vanilla cream, sugar glaze, dipped in coconut topping. Its my favorite one to get after the cinnamon buns!
White bread, sliced eggs (hard boiled) and Kaviar on top .. is great :-) Knekkebrød + Brown cheeze Knekkebrød + Liverpostei and if you want .. a slice of white cheeze also good :-)
Kaviar is smoked and mashed fish eggs most commonly made from cod eggs. We have it in Sweden too, and I am not a huge fan of it to be honest. :) It is pretty good to put on your boiled breakfast eggs or on egg-halves, though. :P And I always find it so funny when foreighners see our tube foods. xD Guess we're pretty weird up here, after all. :D
Actually Urge came before Surge. The Coca-Cola company used Norway as a test market, and they only added the S later on when they released the soda in the US. Unlike in the US it was such a huge hit here, which is why they anticipated it being a hit in the US as well, that they never stopped producing it. Solo Super is just a sugar-free version of Solo, and kaviar is a paste made from smoked fish eggs. Epleslang is the term for when you steal apples from someone's backyard, which is probably what the guy meant.
In Sweden we eat kaviar on toast or on boiled eggs, sometimes with eggs and toast together. And also leverpastej (liver paté) with pickled cucumber on bread. It's like the usual family breakfast foods!
Fun video, guys! It's true that Norway did have its most extreme summer in years, here in my city Bergen on the west coast, it was nearly impossible to find a table fan when the heat was at its most extreme, all the stores were sold out of fans! I did manage to find a store that sold fans though and boy was I happy to finally have a fan to cool myself down! :)
Epleslang is basically what we call it when you go pick apples from someone elses apple trees without permission. It’s pretty common to do as a kid, it’s very popular to have apple trees in your yard as a norwegian.
American living in southern Norway. Yes, it's been incredibly hot here this summer. Close to 100F in some areas. We are finally getting some rain. The liver stuff is liver pate. I don't like it either. The pastry at the end of the video is called skokebrød/school bread. Glad to hear you have enjoyed your trip to Norway!
Hi Josh I’ve really enjoyed your Norwegian videos. My stepson is a Viking reenactor here in the UK York which the vikings named Jorvik. Thanks to you and Cody
the """danish""" is as bun with icing coconut shreds and vanilla custard in the middle. it's called skolebrød, which means school bread. also no one has pastries in the morning. we have small savory breakfasts consisting of bread slices
The Smash bar is a bar of the smash, if you understand. The smash first came out in a bag. They are small crunchy chocolate dots. Then it came out as a chocolate bar.
gotta say, that summer was so hot! Had to open windows (no AC in norway) and got cold water cloths. Water was being used so fast they ran out, we could only water plants every other day.
@@lonzoball4883 what my screen translator said: Norway has a high salary, so supermarkets are very expensive. You don't want to eat it. I understand well. Great video, and one of your best travel series Josh. Awesome series that had a different feel to it compared to your other series. Love them all though. Keep going hard in the paint, love ya for it.
Lefse or lefsa is made from potato’s, it’s kinda like a potato tortilla type food that is very good with brown sugar and butter, my family is Norwegian and we eat it all the time at holidays
Norwegian caviar is so damn good. So glad they`ve started selling the Mills Kaviar (the most popular Norwegian Caviar) in a whole bunch of countries now. I live in Thailand and I literally buy several tubes every month. Expensive, but so worth it.
Hilarious video. I wish I met up With you guys when I was in Norway similar time. I love the brown cheese, Kaviar is great on their bread that you bake and douse on the Norwegian butter than spread the kaviar. I have family in Oslo who were introducing foods to me. At this rate Josh will marry a girl in Norway and have a family lol 🤣😂

Bernler75 try the Pacific Kaviar. It is not as strong as Kalles for example. I don't like Kalles but i loved that one.

Just like Russians same food
Det samme gjør vi i Norge. Kaviar med kokt egg:) og leverpostei med agurk
Alexandra Bratbakk eller sylteagurk eller rødbetter. Veldig populært😁
Alexandra Bratbakk had a Knäckebrödsmacka with egg and Kaviar to the breakfast.
This is perfect because Josh always talks about how much he loves candy

Amazing videos in Norway, tks to Josh and Cody for taking us with you.
Cody could actually kind of pronounce some of it 😁
Great video! The vanilla cream gets its yellow color from the eggs used to make it.
Leverpostej is very popular in Denmark, and you should eat it with rugbrød 😊
And pickles.
I use cucumber 🤔

What most people? How come I am born and raised in this country, and I don't know one person who has an AC?
We do not have AC(Air condition). What most/many people in Norway does have is heating pump (Varmepumpe), which is literally the opposite as AC :P
No? Just varmepumpe (heating pump)
