“Now we can use it to test more parts of the body, our tissue, our brain. Now we are able to definitely say that they stay in our body,” said researcher Kara Wiggin.
Here is a way anyone can see them in their own body, gargle red wine for a minute, spit it into a white tissue or filter paper, you will see tree like structures-these are the bundles of microplastcs. To prove they are indeed plastic, do this: apply a 60v voltage across a brance (about 3mm), you will see transparent threads release from the bundle of threads, we all seem to have them, and they are very clear on a basic stereo microscope. Theory is, they collect on the back of the tongue and throat, the slight acid in the wine releases them from the saliva and also makes them visible, though they are nm wide, they tend to bundle together so you can see them with the human eye.
Microplastics can affect the human body by stimulating the release of endocrine disruptors. In addition, microplastic can carry other toxic chemicals such as heavy metals and organic pollutants during adsorption, which can adversely affect the human body.
Just figure out ways to get rid of them. Bacteria can be engineered. I know it takes time for such things but keep working. Thankfully there are still people who care about science in this world.
or, hear me out: we should just stop using plastic as much as possible. Replace plastic containers and bottles with reusable glass ones, make toys out of wood or metal, and stop individually plastic-wrapping food items inside of larger plastic wraps, for a start.
@@minuette1752 there are indeed alternatives using plant products, but it would still be wasteful and extremely damaging to the environment to use plant-based plastics for all our current plastic needs. We would have to waste a ton of arable land to farm the corn or other plant needed to produce plastic, and such monoculture kills the soil over time, leading to us no longer being able to farm that land. And we would still have the problem of microplastics!

Not sure this is a scam to get rid of oil products. Plastics have been around for years going back to the 80's such as plastic straws. Also, plastic piping has been around since the 70s.
Oh God I can only imagine they ass getting soft and plyable in the heat and they ass gotta put themselves in a mold at night then a if we evolved into sum else there gon be a history book lesson on the plastics
Yes, cellulose is the most common plastic in the human body because it is the only plastic filament small enough to pass through the intestinal walls, and it is that all-important fiber that we just don't get enough of. It is the natural fiber that is in all vegetation on earth, and it is critical to controlling collesterol and sugar in our body's.

I read where we ingest approximately a credit card worth of plastics each week. I wonder if that is what's making the world go crazy. I also saw on TV where drug companies, and hospitals dump drugs down the toilet. They showed 5gallon buckets of drugs being dumped into the toilet. They recycle the water... How safe can that be.
None of these videos actually explain the effects of microplastics on the human body, and this one has that in the title!
It lowers testosterone that's why you have grown men acting soft and it raises it in women
It lowers your sperm count
There's about a plastic spoons worth of plastic in our 🧠 brains
What you also need to explain is the immune response that our body removes foreign particles so its important to support the immune system.

And they stopped hemp from industrial production
Right???

@@beanapprentice1687 You do not need oil to make plastic anymore there are alternatives. Granted it is cheaper because well oil rules the world still.

I hope it turns out plastics aren’t harmful
We definitely need to change

It’s the electron charge of the plastic that’s the problem

Hi people in class
I’m not in class, I’m just concerned
I'm also not in class, I just wanted to say hi.
Maybe us human will evolved to become plastic man in the next few hundred years 😂
Nah they will kill us in the end. But evolution and science will take care of it eventually. Although the damage will have been done.

It's in bottled water and soda.
The particles in the light are mostly dead skin
That is also true. I’m sure it’s both by now. Sad to say.
