We would have to waste a ton of arable land to farm the corn or other plant needed to produce plastic, and such monoculture kills the soil over time, leading to us no longer being able to farm that land. And we would still have the problem of microplastics!

I also saw on TV where drug companies, and hospitals dump drugs down the toilet. They showed 5gallon buckets of drugs being dumped into the toilet. They recycle the water... How safe can that be.
