Yes, that key, which on a standard D whistle is F# minor, is the most jazzy sounding key in the world if Irish trad music, in my opinion, and it's usually modern compositions that are in this key.

Nice but tunes don't gel together perfectly. May I suggest pairing Blue Gaze with Whalleys Range. Try! they go together beautifully, both in that 5 note scale
