I'm pretty confident that Mari is the one who died at the beginning of episode 1. Her & Akira are by far the two least developed, and it would make sense to have one of the lesser developed characters be the death everyone knows about. The only other 2 who closely resemble the physical appearance of her are Jackie & Lottie. I doubt they'd show Jackie's death in that manner, especially given the necklace - this show is more clever than that. As for Lottie, I feel like her being the AQ is a much stronger theory.
I think the antler queen is Lottie. After the most recent episode with the "blood river" and the "red smoke" or whatever, I think even her biggest skeptic (Taissa) will realize that the visions she is having are meaningful. Given how her visions have thus far appeared to be premonitions, and the fact that Taissa was 'safe' during the wolf attack while wearing the *emphasis on* deer bone that Lottie had given to Van, I could see her taking on the role of a sort of spiritual leader for the group, particularly as they get more and more desperate. Not to mention that Lottie appears thus far to have the strongest connection to deer, given the many appearances of deer in her visions, the deer bone safety charm, plus that moment when she got the lamp to go outside at night and the antlers were behind her head (which does seem a bit too obvious tbh) but I still do think that it would make the most sense while still being quite a revelation given her start as a sort of less-central-to-the-plot character
agree fully! Deer have an eye on each side, as "all seeing", as opposed to a Wolf or Owl, whom have predatory vision. Deer watch, are still. Also, if you watch other shows w ritual sacrifice, fires, etc like Vikings, the Seer holds a prime position in the ritual, sometimes more than the 'leader. Lottie is my bet. plus, the obvious antler scene! I wonder if Jackie will be part of the other pack. Sure she's lost cred and shes pissing some ppl off, but the younger players (JV) might still take orders from her
Maybe Jackie is the rabbit. Jackie’s mom said she loved rabbits and Shauna only has the rabbit figurines because she keeps giving them to her on Jackie’s birthday. I think the Antler Queen is Lottie. She keeps seeing the deer and there was one shot where she was standing in front of the deer head and it looked like she was wearing the antlers.
The one with the Rabbit Ears could be Javi of his obvious crush on Shauna, it's also a shorter person, hence younger. I think Shauna is the one in the Pinkish Hood, because that is the one with the hunting Knife that slits the throat of the girl that died in the pit. Shauna always held onto and controlled the knife and it was her job to bleed out the kill. While I agree with the image of Lotte standing in front of the Antlers as being a possible sign, it could be a Red Herring, because when they all walk away from the feast the one with the Antlers is clearly the tallest of them all, and that seems to be Ty. I'm thinking the girl that died in the put is Mari (Mara?) since the hair is a dead ringer to her or Lotte and I don't think Lotte is dead at this point. We also can't forget that in the official showtime trailer description it says they separate into clans. So who knows who is with who and who else is around in 2021. Also, in the second Trailer, Van is still alive. WTF?
Yeah… the way Shauna carved up that rabbit might not simply show her wilderness skills, but also hint towards her complicated relationship with Jackie. It seemed personal.

Even when clearing the "Runway" not a single one was there? Where are they? I know the show says they break up into Clans, but that hasn't happened yet.
I was thinking the exact same thing! Everyone think Shauna is the rabbit becuase she likes rabbits?? No. Jackie liked rabbits. Shauna likes killing them. I think that makes Shauna either a wolf or the queen. But my money is on Jackie as the rabbit and she may not die this season but I do think Shauna is eventually going to be the cause of her death.
Hi! Thanks for focusing on the series. I hope your channel thrives. It's also nice to see that this show is so well received and its viewership is increasing. As to the pilot episode, having seen up to and including episode 6, my understanding is as follows: the escapee who falls into the pit is Jackie - she is synonymous with the Yellowjackets as a team, which is in contrast to a cannibalistic clan, her necklace represented her friendship with Shauna, it's a literal neck that's cut, and the actual hair color is obscured by blood. I have no idea yet why her right foot is bleeding. The girl with the red sneakers looking down at the fallen girl is likely Shauna. I think that Shauna wears similar shoes in other scenes, and the way that the scene is edited to show the body, the necklace, and the girl looking at it is the most significant contextually if the focus is on their former friendship. The Antler Queen seems to be Lottie, but the fact that she isn't shown to be around in 2021 might not mean that she's dead: she might still be in there in that forest, which would be especially unsettling. Lottie might also do something to her eyes - like, gouge them out - to cope with her condition. Additionally, those animal noises in the forest seem to be made by the girls, while the objects in the trees might be there because there aren't any animals. For some reason, there might be a lack of any healthy wildlife. Anyway, some things are likely intentionally misleading. I think that drugs, hallucinations, and psychological problems all factor into their decisions.
Stunt doubles would still be playing the same characters. I don’t think it changes too much around, and the other BTS photos are clearly of the actual cast members, not stunt doubles.
the cannibalism doesn't make sense food wise. they got 9 survivors out to the real world and only 16-18 people surviving the plane crash 7-9 peoples meat wont last 9 people 2-3 months much less than 19 months and 2 winters. i wish i counted the survivers also ( i dont know if the change the count from 1 episode to the next) theres some confuse with how many/ who died in the play crash.
The antler queen's probably Lottie. The medication she takes is for schizophernia which might explain the spooky visions. And she's already made a few (correct) predictions, "river of blood/red smoke" etc. If they go full native, it would make sense for her to take on a shaman-like role.

I think the "wolves" imply that the girls learned to hunt in a pack. The way that first scene goes down (in the pilot) suggests that they learned to chase and harry their prey until they are too tired to run, or make another fatal mistake.
A hint that you’re right about Natalie being the skunk is that her hair color changes from brunette to blonde, and the skunk has the black and white fur. Great video.

There HAS to be at least one survivor we don’t know about who was left behind or something. And comes back for vengeance in the present. If not, it would be a huge waste of plot potential.
i like to think of the idea that when the baby was born they wanted to do something bad with it and Jackie for whatever reason runs away with the baby and when they get rescued they neglect to mention that Jackie is still out there to hide what they wanted to do or what they have done.. Jackie most likely wouldnt of been alone in leaving the main group. Maybe Javi went with her but I think Javi will end up having a crush on Shauna . Not saying Javi is Adam but eh. When Shauna was having sex with Jeff in the car she said for him not to come in her and if he did she would raise the kid out of spite and have it hunt him down. Just saying if the writers put that in than I think it was for a reason. And I still hold out that there will be others who already live in the woods who end up taking in Jackie and the baby. Maybe the ones that carved the symbols and who was tormenting the trapper into hiding in the attic. Maybe the girl who falls in the pit is some one from that group and them leaving her hanging there is a kind of sign to stay away. I still dont believe that cannibalism will be a thing in the series. That would be to easy and by the looks of things the writers are working overtime to make the story complicated.
Maybe it was the teammate that ended up breaking her leg. Maybe she found out her classmates intentionally hurt her so she wouldn't play in the Nationals. Even though it saved her life, the survivors were famous enough to make it in the news. Jealousy and resentment?
@@ED80s Except, I don't think Tai intentionally broke her leg, she was trying to toughen her up, and when Allie made a move on Tai, Tai was like "Finally" and seemed like the plan was working okay.
I think that the "skunk" is Van. In the first scene of the first episode, the skunk is seen wearing a Coed Naked Soccer T-shirt which in later episodes proves to be Van's. This could be misdirection, particularly since it appeared that Van dies at the end of episode 7, but I don't think so. I also think that the pieces of hair on the antler queen's dress may be locks of hair from previous victims.
Another solid video! Yeah as soon as Shauna put the necklace back on Jackie, it seemed like that was a bit too obvious for her to end up being the girl in the pit. Along with how they are making it look like she isn’t pulling her weight building to some larger conflict. I’m definitely curious to see how the pregnancy plays out and what the hell adult Misty is going to do next.
it's funny seeing my theories evolve after my initial review of the pilot. knowing what i know now, i could really do a deep dive. perhaps i'll revisit after the season is over :)

The crash took place in 1996 and the number one fictional character Jackie likes or would like to be is Rose Dawson from the movie Titanic which was released in December 1997. Jackie’s number one song is Wannabe by the Spice Girls which was released in the US in January 1997. You need to pause the scene when she reads each page. A lot of people have made the assumption she was killed in the wilderness.
I think the queen is Lottie. We saw in episode 7 I think, where some of the group was taking Lottie’s visions very seriously, to the point that they got freaked out, saying no to logic, and accepting the paranormal

Everyone is talking about the fact that Jackie's diary has movies listed that came out way after they were stranded in the forest leading people to think Jackie survived and came home but perhaps Shauna wrote in Jackie's journal with movies she thinks Jackie would have enjoyed if she was still alive? She's been going to Jackie's birthday party every year.she had ample time to sneak into Jackie's room and write in the journal.

I’m saying that because in episode six, 2021 Shauna reads Jackie’s book with a list of fictional characters Jackie likes or would like to be and number one is Rose Dawson from Titanic, a movie released in December 1997, about a year and a half after the 1996 crash. There may be a few other things mentioned in the book that only someone who was rescued after spending 19 months in the wilderness would know.

It's cutting it close though, since we don't know exactly what month they left (Maybe someone that plays Girls Soccer knows what month Nationals take place, but "Bring it on" came out in 2000 and "American Beauty" was 1999. @@teddynielsen Yeah, the timelines in the Journal sort of suggest she is alive. Unless Shauna has been writing in the book over the years. For example, there is one page where "Jackie" circled a Rabbit as her preferred Pet, which we have seen not to be the case. So maybe Shauna has been making updates, or if not, she is still alive. But why would she be estranged from her Parents? They talk about her as if she is dead, toast their glasses and look up to the Heavens, etc. It's clear the show is intentionally leading us to believe either is possible and they will have some tidbits to fall back on to say "See, we showed you right here".
Wild speculation here but what if when then rescue does come one person isn't picked up or is assumed dead.. and that person eventually comes to hunt down the rest of the group. I feel like the explanation that Misty is just controlling everyone again is too easy
Totally agree about Misty. She's too obvious a choice. That being said, she definitely has a sadistic manipulative streak. Originally I was thinking Jackie was dead for sure... But after reading up on Wendigo psychosis, I'm not so sure. 😂. According to legend the only way to kill the Wendigo and release the possessed human is to destroy its icy heart... This releases the human trapped inside. But also kills them. I wonder if poor Jackie was left to her own devices rather than the team killed her

But they could push the fact that it's been 25+ years and he was only about 15 at the time and people can change a lot. But I agree. That would be kind of weak. But if Van is alive, I'm not putting anything past this show, no matter how unbelievable.

I think I have a half-way decent argument to propose that the AQ is Lottie. This animal ritual that they seem to be performing is ancient and is performed by the shaman or seer. Obviously Lottie has visions. Shamans undergo a 'death' experience as a part of their initiation to achieve their role in the rituals. The death of Lottie in episode 1 in the pit (interesting because yellowjackets live in underground hives) was probably a vision of Lottie's and may not have actually happened but may have happened in this separate reality of shamans and animal spirits, lol. I can also make an argument for Jackie though, but I'm just spitballing.
If Lotte did survive and rescued would she want to be? To comeback and be medicated after experiencing and maybe understanding her gifts. If she is still alive and rescued would her dad have her committed and we find her in an hospital somewhere?
Very interesting theory. I never thought of that first scene being a vision. I do agree that is Lottie and not Jackie who gets impaled in the pit. I believe Jackie survives and is rescued and dies after she goes home. Or maybe she is still alive and blackmailing the group? 🤔 in the last episode #6, adult Shauna is in Jackie's bedroom reading Jackie's journal and Jackie lists as a movie character who she would want to be as Rose Dawson from Titanic. Rose Dawson faked her own death and started a new life. Also, Titanic was released in 1997, a year after the plane crashed. The movie, "Bring it on" was also mentioned in Jackie's book and that movie did not come out until the year, 2000. So unless the show runners made an error which is highly unlikely, or Jackie dies years after the rescue and those items are strategically placed in the journal for that reason. I think Shauna or Lottie is the Antler queen and Jackie is the rabbit. Thoughts??
Fun theory that I would love to hear your opinion on: lately there has been a lot of talk about possession and spirits and such amongst fans of the show, and even in the show itself. I saw a Reddit post asking about how all the survivors were linked to a certain animal, such as misty to owls, and shauna to rabbits. However, shaunas relation with rabbits seems to be negative, and I believe Jackie’s relationship with rabbits was negative as well. What if shauna is possessed by Jackie? Husband/boyfriend correlations, rabbit issues, and maybe more have me thinking about this. Maybe they are even the blackmailer, with Jackie being the one who does it when shauna isn’t aware and her motives may be sending their daughter to college or something. Maybe killing somebody or touching their dead body by one of the symbols causes the possession. Like, maybe Taissa killed a wolf by one or something?
I think the 8 survivors are... Purple Mask - Travis Skunk - Natalie Rabbit - Shauna AQ - Lottie Wolf Hat- Tiassa Beaver or whatever - Misty Far left 2 - Jackie and Javi. Predictions for others... Van gets infected or something. Sis isnt gonna survive getting her face mulled by a freaken wolf. Lora Lee- Sis isnt gonna survive another plane crash. One of my guesses is Lottie goes with her, lora dies and Lottie survives. Then everyone basically worships her. Akila and Mari are the only other given names. I dont see either of them making it far. Other 6 nameless Yellowjackets will probably be filler meals until Jackie's inevitable death/abandonment.
Keep in mind, the Official Showtime Trailer says they break up into Clans. So there could be more. In 2021, they never actually mention how many survived, they just say stuff like "One of the others" and I don't think they mean one of the Big 4 from season 1 so far.
I think Jackie was the one that was killed and eaten in the pilot and that the one in the white, the antler queen, is Taissa due to the noticeable height difference between all of them. Taissa is the tallest and you can see that in the episodes. Also, we cannot ignore the fact that Taissa is taking leadership by wanting to go into the wilderness and find help. Plus not to mention Lottie saw Taissa specifically eating dirt alone and that maybe foreshadows that Taissa would be the one that suggests cannibalism first.
Maybe, but the girl in the pilot who fell in the pit had long dark hair and seemed taller. Jackie's hairs more light and short (could've grown though). I think it was either Mari or even Lottie who fell in the pit.
I think they didn't eat anyone. I think what happened is that they were using Jackie as bait to get wolfs and sadly she felt in the trap for those wolfs. So they placed Jackie's body to attract the wolfs. What we see eating is actually the wolfs they were able to catch. We know it's Jackie because Jackie gives the heart necklace to Shauna in the airplane, but then Shauna returns the necklace to Jackie when they were cutting the animal. Also, there is no adult Jackie like everyone else have--teen character and adult character. So double L will be partaking in eating. And I do think Taisa is the one at the center with the horns when they are eating. And I think it is Taisa who ordered to kill Travis because Taisa is the one who hired that lady who is pretending to be a reporter. I think Travis accepted the deal. And I think Misty is working for Taisa to get rid off anyone who might speak about whatever happened in the woods. Since Taisa is trying to get her political career going and she does not want the past to intervene with it. Awesome video!!!!! looking forward to the next one. :)
I believe the girl in the pit is Lottie. Tall, very dark hair. Way darker than Jackie’s. The only other character we pay any attention to with long, dark hair is Mari and she’s much shorter.

But I looks like whoever is not pulling their weight in the group is going to become useful in some way or another. And I think Misty is making sure of that. We saw her tripping their coach. Showing his dead weight. I think Lottie is going to be the Shaman of the group. The only person left is Jackie. My assumptions, which I am sure they are weak : 1. Anyone who does not have an adult character in the series dies in their camp. 2. Anyone who survive to adulthood committed a crime against those who didn't survive. I know (2) is very weak because self defense and accidents.

How could you ever think Jackie was the queen? It was so obvious from day one she was going to die, for sure! Her hability was social popularity, of which she had none in the wildirness, she was useless, and that was the point. We still don't know who the queen is but she is Lottie or maybe "javi's friend"

The raccoon is the same height as the one who might be Travis. Travis is 5'10, Lotte is the same height. Nat is 5'5 the same height as shauna who is the rabbit. Jackie is 5'3. The antler queen is taller than that.
But I do see what you mean I noticed the same thing. I'm starting to think the writer/producers are messing with what is being put out there. Both in the pictures and in the clues that people keep bringing up. Not all is what it appears. The ones in the skins might not end up being the ones who are actually wearing in them in the story line.
@@TangoNevada Just what is available online from actor bios and so forth. But was made recently aware that those production pictures were of stand in actors and not the the actors themselves. Only exception being Misty. But thats what they are saying and considering how th show is going they can say one thing and it be something else.

I'm terrible with remembering who is who keep forgetting anyone's names except Taissa, Shauna, Jackie and the see I can't remember, ok Lottie and the one played by Mallory Knox... but I don't think Jackie is the queen. I wonder if Mallory Knox, sorry if anyone doesn't know who I'm referring to, natural born killers actress,, is the queen considering in recent episode Shauna and Taissa said something like they wouldn't be here in the present if it wasn't for her. Just speculation. I've been wrong before
my interpretation with the image is that jackie fears what she might ultimately have to become to survive. the fact that everyone has such varied opinions on it means they’re doing a good job at selling the mystery.

The cannibalism might be a social aspect or a killing weakest link part also a way of showing your part of the team/group if your willing to eat human flesh normal people wont look at you right.
I don't think Taissa is the queen even though somethings make it seem that she could be. Im torn because I feel lottie is Antler Queen but the chic running in the beginning looks from behind at least looks kinda more like lottie but I'm not convinced on that either.
I think Shauna did something to Jackie that she hasn't remembered because she was drugged and tbh I theorize it was related to the baby. Where the heck did her baby end up? We havent seen a 25 year old kid in Shauna's modern life yet. Didnt it make it out or....? I think the antler queen is Lottie (theres a scene in the cabin where she's standing under the antlers on the wall, foreshadowing? or maybe a red herring?). I think Shauna is the one with her mouth covered. Tai with the wolf pelt (new episode, Van). I think Jackies the rabbit because she likes rabbits, her parents give one to Shauna every year.
If the skunk is not Nat and is Laura Lee than that would mean Nat is the antler queen. and that just doesnt seem the case. Laura Lee is the antler queen in my opinion.
I think it might be Allie who is blackmailing them. I googled Yellow jackets and looked at Wikipedia and it shows that there is a teenage Allie and an Adult Allie played by 2 different actresses
Because adult Allie is in the 1st few minutes of the pilot when they ha that interview like sequence talking about the girls and Allie says how that "could have been her" stranded in the woods after the plane crash.
I'm pretty confident that Mari is the one who died at the beginning of episode 1. Her & Akira are by far the two least developed, and it would make sense to have one of the lesser developed characters be the death everyone knows about. The only other 2 who closely resemble the physical appearance of her are Jackie & Lottie. I doubt they'd show Jackie's death in that manner, especially given the necklace - this show is more clever than that. As for Lottie, I feel like her being the AQ is a much stronger theory.
I think the antler queen is Lottie. After the most recent episode with the "blood river" and the "red smoke" or whatever, I think even her biggest skeptic (Taissa) will realize that the visions she is having are meaningful. Given how her visions have thus far appeared to be premonitions, and the fact that Taissa was 'safe' during the wolf attack while wearing the *emphasis on* deer bone that Lottie had given to Van, I could see her taking on the role of a sort of spiritual leader for the group, particularly as they get more and more desperate. Not to mention that Lottie appears thus far to have the strongest connection to deer, given the many appearances of deer in her visions, the deer bone safety charm, plus that moment when she got the lamp to go outside at night and the antlers were behind her head (which does seem a bit too obvious tbh) but I still do think that it would make the most sense while still being quite a revelation given her start as a sort of less-central-to-the-plot character
agree fully! Deer have an eye on each side, as "all seeing", as opposed to a Wolf or Owl, whom have predatory vision. Deer watch, are still.
Also, if you watch other shows w ritual sacrifice, fires, etc like Vikings, the Seer holds a prime position in the ritual, sometimes more than the 'leader. Lottie is my bet. plus, the obvious antler scene!

Maybe Jackie is the rabbit. Jackie’s mom said she loved rabbits and Shauna only has the rabbit figurines because she keeps giving them to her on Jackie’s birthday. I think the Antler Queen is Lottie. She keeps seeing the deer and there was one shot where she was standing in front of the deer head and it looked like she was wearing the antlers.

The one with the Rabbit Ears could be Javi of his obvious crush on Shauna, it's also a shorter person, hence younger. I think Shauna is the one in the Pinkish Hood, because that is the one with the hunting Knife that slits the throat of the girl that died in the pit. Shauna always held onto and controlled the knife and it was her job to bleed out the kill. While I agree with the image of Lotte standing in front of the Antlers as being a possible sign, it could be a Red Herring, because when they all walk away from the feast the one with the Antlers is clearly the tallest of them all, and that seems to be Ty. I'm thinking the girl that died in the put is Mari (Mara?) since the hair is a dead ringer to her or Lotte and I don't think Lotte is dead at this point. We also can't forget that in the official showtime trailer description it says they separate into clans. So who knows who is with who and who else is around in 2021. Also, in the second Trailer, Van is still alive. WTF?
Yeah… the way Shauna carved up that rabbit might not simply show her wilderness skills, but also hint towards her complicated relationship with Jackie. It seemed personal.

There are like 18 people in this circle, yet this season has only focused on about 10 or so. Like Who is the girl with #15 and Short Black hair (Has she said a word?), plus a handful of others? I really hope they don't start next season going into their back stories and their current situation and go away from where we are at. Otherwise we are looking at a new "Lost" which I am not interested in, I just don't know why none of these other characters were involved at all in season one. And it worries me. Even when clearing the "Runway" not a single one was there? Where are they? I know the show says they break up into Clans, but that hasn't happened yet.
I was thinking the exact same thing! Everyone think Shauna is the rabbit becuase she likes rabbits?? No. Jackie liked rabbits. Shauna likes killing them. I think that makes Shauna either a wolf or the queen. But my money is on Jackie as the rabbit and she may not die this season but I do think Shauna is eventually going to be the cause of her death.

As to the pilot episode, having seen up to and including episode 6, my understanding is as follows: the escapee who falls into the pit is Jackie - she is synonymous with the Yellowjackets as a team, which is in contrast to a cannibalistic clan, her necklace represented her friendship with Shauna, it's a literal neck that's cut, and the actual hair color is obscured by blood. I have no idea yet why her right foot is bleeding.
The girl with the red sneakers looking down at the fallen girl is likely Shauna. I think that Shauna wears similar shoes in other scenes, and the way that the scene is edited to show the body, the necklace, and the girl looking at it is the most significant contextually if the focus is on their former friendship.
The Antler Queen seems to be Lottie, but the fact that she isn't shown to be around in 2021 might not mean that she's dead: she might still be in there in that forest, which would be especially unsettling. Lottie might also do something to her eyes - like, gouge them out - to cope with her condition.
Additionally, those animal noises in the forest seem to be made by the girls, while the objects in the trees might be there because there aren't any animals. For some reason, there might be a lack of any healthy wildlife.
Anyway, some things are likely intentionally misleading. I think that drugs, hallucinations, and psychological problems all factor into their decisions.

Stunt doubles would still be playing the same characters. I don’t think it changes too much around, and the other BTS photos are clearly of the actual cast members, not stunt doubles.

The antler queen's probably Lottie. The medication she takes is for schizophernia which might explain the spooky visions. And she's already made a few (correct) predictions, "river of blood/red smoke" etc. If they go full native, it would make sense for her to take on a shaman-like role.

I think the "wolves" imply that the girls learned to hunt in a pack. The way that first scene goes down (in the pilot) suggests that they learned to chase and harry their prey until they are too tired to run, or make another fatal mistake.

i like to think of the idea that when the baby was born they wanted to do something bad with it and Jackie for whatever reason runs away with the baby and when they get rescued they neglect to mention that Jackie is still out there to hide what they wanted to do or what they have done.. Jackie most likely wouldnt of been alone in leaving the main group. Maybe Javi went with her but I think Javi will end up having a crush on Shauna . Not saying Javi is Adam but eh. When Shauna was having sex with Jeff in the car she said for him not to come in her and if he did she would raise the kid out of spite and have it hunt him down. Just saying if the writers put that in than I think it was for a reason. And I still hold out that there will be others who already live in the woods who end up taking in Jackie and the baby. Maybe the ones that carved the symbols and who was tormenting the trapper into hiding in the attic. Maybe the girl who falls in the pit is some one from that group and them leaving her hanging there is a kind of sign to stay away. I still dont believe that cannibalism will be a thing in the series. That would be to easy and by the looks of things the writers are working overtime to make the story complicated.
Maybe it was the teammate that ended up breaking her leg. Maybe she found out her classmates intentionally hurt her so she wouldn't play in the Nationals. Even though it saved her life, the survivors were famous enough to make it in the news. Jealousy and resentment?

I think that the "skunk" is Van. In the first scene of the first episode, the skunk is seen wearing a Coed Naked Soccer T-shirt which in later episodes proves to be Van's. This could be misdirection, particularly since it appeared that Van dies at the end of episode 7, but I don't think so. I also think that the pieces of hair on the antler queen's dress may be locks of hair from previous victims.

Another solid video! Yeah as soon as Shauna put the necklace back on Jackie, it seemed like that was a bit too obvious for her to end up being the girl in the pit. Along with how they are making it look like she isn’t pulling her weight building to some larger conflict.

The crash took place in 1996 and the number one fictional character Jackie likes or would like to be is Rose Dawson from the movie Titanic which was released in December 1997. Jackie’s number one song is Wannabe by the Spice Girls which was released in the US in January 1997. You need to pause the scene when she reads each page. A lot of people have made the assumption she was killed in the wilderness.

She's been going to Jackie's birthday party every year.she had ample time to sneak into Jackie's room and write in the journal.

@@teddynielsen Yeah, the timelines in the Journal sort of suggest she is alive. Unless Shauna has been writing in the book over the years. For example, there is one page where "Jackie" circled a Rabbit as her preferred Pet, which we have seen not to be the case. So maybe Shauna has been making updates, or if not, she is still alive. But why would she be estranged from her Parents? They talk about her as if she is dead, toast their glasses and look up to the Heavens, etc. It's clear the show is intentionally leading us to believe either is possible and they will have some tidbits to fall back on to say "See, we showed you right here".
Wild speculation here but what if when then rescue does come one person isn't picked up or is assumed dead.. and that person eventually comes to hunt down the rest of the group. I feel like the explanation that Misty is just controlling everyone again is too easy
Totally agree about Misty. She's too obvious a choice. That being said, she definitely has a sadistic manipulative streak. Originally I was thinking Jackie was dead for sure... But after reading up on Wendigo psychosis, I'm not so sure. 😂. According to legend the only way to kill the Wendigo and release the possessed human is to destroy its icy heart... This releases the human trapped inside. But also kills them. I wonder if poor Jackie was left to her own devices rather than the team killed her

Shamans undergo a 'death' experience as a part of their initiation to achieve their role in the rituals.
The death of Lottie in episode 1 in the pit (interesting because yellowjackets live in underground hives) was probably a vision of Lottie's and may not have actually happened but may have happened in this separate reality of shamans and animal spirits, lol.
I can also make an argument for Jackie though, but I'm just spitballing.

Very interesting theory. I never thought of that first scene being a vision. I do agree that is Lottie and not Jackie who gets impaled in the pit. I believe Jackie survives and is rescued and dies after she goes home. Or maybe she is still alive and blackmailing the group? 🤔 in the last episode #6, adult Shauna is in Jackie's bedroom reading Jackie's journal and Jackie lists as a movie character who she would want to be as Rose Dawson from Titanic. Rose Dawson faked her own death and started a new life. Also, Titanic was released in 1997, a year after the plane crashed. The movie, "Bring it on" was also mentioned in Jackie's book and that movie did not come out until the year, 2000. So unless the show runners made an error which is highly unlikely, or Jackie dies years after the rescue and those items are strategically placed in the journal for that reason.

Fun theory that I would love to hear your opinion on: lately there has been a lot of talk about possession and spirits and such amongst fans of the show, and even in the show itself. I saw a Reddit post asking about how all the survivors were linked to a certain animal, such as misty to owls, and shauna to rabbits. However, shaunas relation with rabbits seems to be negative, and I believe Jackie’s relationship with rabbits was negative as well. What if shauna is possessed by Jackie? Husband/boyfriend correlations, rabbit issues, and maybe more have me thinking about this. Maybe they are even the blackmailer, with Jackie being the one who does it when shauna isn’t aware and her motives may be sending their daughter to college or something. Maybe killing somebody or touching their dead body by one of the symbols causes the possession. Like, maybe Taissa killed a wolf by one or something?

Keep in mind, the Official Showtime Trailer says they break up into Clans. So there could be more. In 2021, they never actually mention how many survived, they just say stuff like "One of the others" and I don't think they mean one of the Big 4 from season 1 so far.
I think Jackie was the one that was killed and eaten in the pilot and that the one in the white, the antler queen, is Taissa due to the noticeable height difference between all of them. Taissa is the tallest and you can see that in the episodes. Also, we cannot ignore the fact that Taissa is taking leadership by wanting to go into the wilderness and find help. Plus not to mention Lottie saw Taissa specifically eating dirt alone and that maybe foreshadows that Taissa would be the one that suggests cannibalism first.
Tai/ Mari actress' 5'7, . LL/Akilah are 5'6 Nat/Shauna/Van 5'5, Jackie 5'4/3, Misty 5'1 -Lotte is 5'10.
Maybe, but the girl in the pilot who fell in the pit had long dark hair and seemed taller. Jackie's hairs more light and short (could've grown though). I think it was either Mari or even Lottie who fell in the pit.
I think they didn't eat anyone. I think what happened is that they were using Jackie as bait to get wolfs and sadly she felt in the trap for those wolfs. So they placed Jackie's body to attract the wolfs. What we see eating is actually the wolfs they were able to catch. We know it's Jackie because Jackie gives the heart necklace to Shauna in the airplane, but then Shauna returns the necklace to Jackie when they were cutting the animal. Also, there is no adult Jackie like everyone else have--teen character and adult character.
So double L will be partaking in eating. And I do think Taisa is the one at the center with the horns when they are eating. And I think it is Taisa who ordered to kill Travis because Taisa is the one who hired that lady who is pretending to be a reporter. I think Travis accepted the deal. And I think Misty is working for Taisa to get rid off anyone who might speak about whatever happened in the woods. Since Taisa is trying to get her political career going and she does not want the past to intervene with it.

I believe the girl in the pit is Lottie. Tall, very dark hair. Way darker than Jackie’s. The only other character we pay any attention to with long, dark hair is Mari and she’s much shorter.

But I looks like whoever is not pulling their weight in the group is going to become useful in some way or another. And I think Misty is making sure of that. We saw her tripping their coach. Showing his dead weight. I think Lottie is going to be the Shaman of the group. The only person left is Jackie.
My assumptions, which I am sure they are weak :
1. Anyone who does not have an adult character in the series dies in their camp.
2. Anyone who survive to adulthood committed a crime against those who didn't survive.
I know (2) is very weak because self defense and accidents.

Looking at the photos I’d say most of these make sense however the one you believed to be Lottie has blue eyes and dark eyebrows which matches Nat’s.
The raccoon is the same height as the one who might be Travis. Travis is 5'10, Lotte is the same height. Nat is 5'5 the same height as shauna who is the rabbit. Jackie is 5'3. The antler queen is taller than that.
But I do see what you mean I noticed the same thing. I'm starting to think the writer/producers are messing with what is being put out there. Both in the pictures and in the clues that people keep bringing up. Not all is what it appears. The ones in the skins might not end up being the ones who are actually wearing in them in the story line.

I'm terrible with remembering who is who keep forgetting anyone's names except Taissa, Shauna, Jackie and the see I can't remember, ok Lottie and the one played by Mallory Knox... but I don't think Jackie is the queen. I wonder if Mallory Knox, sorry if anyone doesn't know who I'm referring to, natural born killers actress,, is the queen considering in recent episode Shauna and Taissa said something like they wouldn't be here in the present if it wasn't for her. my interpretation with the image is that jackie fears what she might ultimately have to become to survive. the fact that everyone has such varied opinions on it means they’re doing a good job at selling the mystery.

The cannibalism doesn't make sense food wise.
They got 9 survivors out to the real world and only 16-18 people surviving the plane crash 7-9 peoples meat wont last 9 people 2-3 months much less than 19 months and 2 winters.
Half starving survivor, half of your weight will be bones, organs, brain. 90-120 half which you can eat so 9 x 45-60 pounds divide by the surviving 9 isn't that much. A deer will have more beavers/porcupine's(30-50pounds) and 3-4 big fish will have more.
I wish i counted the survivors also ( i dont know if the change the count from 1 episode to the next) there's some confuse with how many/ who died in the play crash. they had 2 females die in the plane crash then changed it to only 1 unless one of the females was a flight attendant. one on fire and one impaled that we see. we see 5 graves the 2 pilots the male coach=3 but we only have 1 female flight attendent even these small planes 2-3 is normal. ok i talked myself about the funny numbers i guess it makes sense.
The cannibalism might be a social aspect or a killing weakest link part also a way of showing your part of the team/group if your willing to eat human flesh normal people wont look at you right.

I don't think Taissa is the queen even though somethings make it seem that she could be. Im torn because I feel lottie is Antler Queen but the chic running in the beginning looks from behind at least looks kinda more like lottie but I'm not convinced on that either.

I think Shauna kills Jackie because it's shown and mentioned that Jackie likes rabbits and Shauna has killed two rabbits
I think Shauna did something to Jackie that she hasn't remembered because she was drugged and tbh I theorize it was related to the baby. Where the heck did her baby end up? We havent seen a 25 year old kid in Shauna's modern life yet. Didnt it make it out or....? Plus when shauna was like hallucinating a conversation with jackie their conversation was more sus than it seemed, Shauna's subconscious feels jackie would blame shauna for whatever happened to her. I get memory loss vibes from shauna. Not even sure she knows why she killed the rabbit, ya know?
I think the antler queen is Lottie (theres a scene in the cabin where she's standing under the antlers on the wall, foreshadowing? or maybe a red herring?). I think Shauna is the one with her mouth covered. Tai with the wolf pelt (new episode, Van). I think Jackies the rabbit because she likes rabbits, her parents give one to Shauna every year.
What about the coach? Everyone has both legs. Maybe they ate him too? 😳😳😳

I think it might be Allie who is blackmailing them. I googled Yellow jackets and looked at Wikipedia and it shows that there is a teenage Allie and an Adult Allie played by 2 different actresses
Because adult Allie is in the 1st few minutes of the pilot when they ha that interview like sequence talking about the girls and Allie says how that "could have been her" stranded in the woods after the plane crash.
