  • Hello and welcome. I've been a long-time fan of ‪@IWIUS‬ products. So, I became a big fan of the original Masada (full-size) when it was introduced.
    Fast forward to 2022, IWI introduces the ‪@IWIUS‬ Masada Slim. I've been looking for a Masada Slim locally since it came to market. No luck. I even spoke to the sales rep at the NRA Show about sending a sample to Range USA and still no luck. I was starting to loose interest on this gun until my friend Karl purchased one and let it to the channel for this video. Thank you Karl. As of today (late November 2023), I have yet to see one locally.
    What are your thoughts on the Masada in general and specifically on the Masada Slim. As always, I look forward to your comments.
    Thank you for stopping by and God Bless.

    I wanted to give some feedback on the Masada 9S. I had waited a couple of months for any of the gun shops in my area to get one for me, but it was worth the wait. This has been my carry gun for three months. The slide cuts for the sights are the same as the Sig so any sight that fits a Sig will fit the Masada full size and slim. Every major sight manufacturer makes sights for Sig pistols, so it was easy to upgrade to tritium night sights. The Masada slim is compatible with most CZ 75 magazines, so magazines from the full size Masada and the Jericho 941 will work giving you options for 17 and 16 round mags. The 21 round mags from the CZ Shadow 2 and 15 round mags from the CZ 75 compact work as well. This gun is $200 less the base P365 and HellCat PRO . It would be nice to have a rail to mount a light, but I carry a separate light so i can illuminate objects without pointing a gun at them. The thought of going into a room and pointing my gun at my wife, kids or dogs just to see if they are intruders is a risk I don't want to take.
    The Masada 9 slim is a robust and reliable gun and you win't be disappointed if you chose to buy one.

    I've been carrying my Masada Slim for 1 year now and it's been amazing. It has less recoil than my P365X, Hellcat, and Shield Plus. It has a better trigger than any of them and has 2,275 rounds thru it from 18 different brands and types of ammo with zero malfunctions.

    Very good and fair review of this pistol. I recently purchased the Masada Slim after testing other micro-nines. As you stated, the trigger breaks very cleanly and its pull weight is appropriate for carry. The sights are certainly adequate for its intended use. The grip length allows me to get a good purchase on the firearm for better control and recoil management. Yes, the grip is slick so I put two layers of Talon grips on it (I wear Large gloves) and it's much, much better during firing. The pistol has been flawless through 250 rounds. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. Thanks again for the fine review.

    Shot it and for me, in stock config, it was amazingly accurate. Loved the grip, the sights and the trigger. Having said that, your Apex trigger + comp makes your G48 a real wonder gun, so comparing the two on the range is a bit unfair. Of course you would be underwhelmed.

    Looks like a good middle ground between the G43X/48 and a G19. Would I buy one? Maybe. Personally, I prefer my P229 over any of them [as a primary EDC]. I would be curious about a trigger comparison between it and the Masada's main competitors.

    I have been interested in Massads slim for quite some time and under same circumstances, can't find one. It takes 17 and 19 round CZ75 mags, same as the Jericho, I am a fan. It may be a snappy and on the small side for me, I don't know. I am limited to watching different reviews on it. No matter what I try i seem to go back to the CZ p07.

  • @onpsxmember
    @onpsxmember 9 месяцев назад +1

    Just not looking for anything in that size. Lots of clones around. With a lot of the smaller offerings it is more about the hand size and grip shape if one can deal with their grip on the smaller area to place them. I liked the H11 or hellcat but that's a hand thing. On smaller and slimmer frames, give pressing one thumb with the other inward a try and on some the trigger guard can be an option when the reach changed or the thumb would stick out otherwise. But those aren't small enough for that. I think there are enough options out there to try more until you don't have to learn to like something.

    How would you compare the Masada Slim to the APX Centurion? The reason asking is I was considering this but could never find one either. Also, check out Handleit Grips. The Edge Series.. You're welcome. 😎

    No rail limits the role of this pistol. Why would they not mold the frame with an accessory rail? It's a fail for me on this alone .

    • @neverobey1477

      Agreed.. specially having an optic cut it should've came with a rail!

    • @whatsup24_7
      @whatsup24_7 9 месяцев назад +1

      Because it's a concealed carry gun so a weapon light is not needed. It's not a police duty pistol.

    • @conlaiarla
      @conlaiarla 9 месяцев назад

      @@whatsup24_7I see so why would it being a conceal carry gun preclude including a rail? It doesn't on many other even smaller micro 9's that are even more concelable.

    • @whatsup24_7
      @whatsup24_7 9 месяцев назад +6

      @@conlaiarla Because some company's like Sig puts a rail on their micro compact means most of the time that they want you to buy a sig light to mount on it. Concealed carry guns don't need lights because you're not a cop on duty which they do need a weapon light. They pursue criminals at night in dark abandoned buildings with no windows and are lawfully allowed to be pointing their pistol with the light on. Citizens cannot pull out their pistol and shine a light to determine if someone is threatening their life they have to know 100% their life is in danger. If you just pull your gun and the person isn't armed with a lethal weapon you will be charged with aggravated assault which is a felony. I take walks at night a lot and I've been to some very dark areas and still have enough ambient light to see if my life is being threatened which means I have enough ambient light to put accurate shots on target.

    • @conlaiarla
      @conlaiarla 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@whatsup24_7Thanks for your reply and your thoughts on the subject at hand from your perspective. However, it would in no way impede the firearm in any way to include the option of a rail. Failure to do so results in this firearm which could easily fulfill the role of CC and home defence from fulfilling this second role . It could have a rail and you would not have to utilise it. Not having one reduces options. In the market of today where there are so many firearms with the ability to mount a light or laser this was in my opinion a mistake on the manufacturers part . I respect that you differ that's what the comment section is about.

    Nice thing about Masada 9S is that you can use magazines from your CZ Shadow 2. So, if you run some competitive shootings with a Shadow, that's a plus. Canik Mete MC9 also has this thing with its other Mete brothers including a Rival. Thumbs up for this.
