According to the movies, the Alien is a highly intelligent super fast evolving predator species. Its able to realize that the Android is not a source of food and doesn't give a fuck about it.
when did you see the alien actually eat someone after killing them? youve got a valid point but i think it just kills humans either for sport like the indominus rex in jurassic world or to lay their eggs in the bodies of its victims
@morningstarko certainly in its infancy you see it, because of the whole alien busting out of people's chest bit. But I believe from a lot of scenes where they do the double tongue mouth thing it's implied the victim just became lunch or a nursery.
It's because they have Bio-vision. if you play the AVP games you can see what their perspective is like. Drones don't actually eat people they incapacitate them and take them to the nursery usually.
@@morningstarkoit was actually designed to eradicate the human race. It wasn't made for hunting but for killing. Prometheus and Alien: Covenant (movies) explain that very well. It was intended to be used on humans after they colonized earth so that our "founders" could live there themselves
@@morningstarkoThey don’t kill for sport. They kill for survival of their species. They see anything and everything living and breathing as a threat and eliminate it no matter the cost to protect their kind and their hive.
brother of mine, I swear the game gets a bit easier if you actually loot shit when you go around. almost anything with a green light can be interacted with, and you can find ammo as well as crafting items you can use to craft gadgets to never use
From the start of the series I legit graduated highschool, graduated university, got a job, met a girl, got married, had kids, got cheated on and she left, got knee surgery, and it's still on part 9. Damn.
Tip for equipment, each thing makes noise, or light like a flair, if you are trying to sneak, hold right mouse you hold it up, and left mouse to throw FAR AWAR in the other corner of the room, the flashbang, noise maker, and smoke bomb makes noise (maybe the smoke makes visual idk) and the flair makes a visual distraction. If it's noise, if the alien can "hear" it, it will run towards where it landed and inspect the floor for a few moments. If it's a light distraction, the alien will only run to it, if it is visible to the alien, IE the light of the flare can be seen in some way. Smokebomb of course is a gas cloud that you can sneak past humans and I think androids with if they didn't see you go into it, though androids may inspect where you threw it and see you anyways. Flare and noisemakers can also distract humans and androids, and flashbangs can be like a noisemaker for both humans and androids as well, however they only actually "flash" humans, they don't work to blind the alien or the androids. Final thing is upgrades and the molotov. Molotov's are a 1 use, get out of jail free card on the alien, throw it right on the bastard and it will run away like a little bitch. It also does a shit load of damage, so if you throw it on him too close it will either severely injure you, or just kill you. Save molotovs for the alien, for when you are out of fuel in the flammenwurfer. Finally upgrades. Each upgrade is just the next level version of equipment that the blueprints gives you. They can make it so you leave it on the ground where you stand, and for a noisemaker, it will have a delay of I think 5 or 15 seconds before it goes off, like setting up the noise where you are at. If you put the flashbang, smokebomb, or molotov on the ground, it will become a proximity mine. Good for a few second distraction, or setting up a warning system. Or better yet, if you pout the molotov on the ground and the Alien gets close, it goes off and it runs away into the vents, makes it so you can continue in peace for a few minutes. I think I hit everything, hopefully you see this, and I hope it helps make the journey easier. PS: you should search every single box you can find, that's almost always just something with a green light on it, there is usually ammo and fuel and parts and batteries in those things.
This game had real good graphic, not just random animations and AI generated lights. The way the camera moves, the textures, the attention to the details, the sound design, the poly count, everything is nearly perfect. Also you should consider the fact that this game came out in 2014 (9 years ago) and nowadays games can't even get the textures right. If it came out today, it would've have one of the best graphics in videogame history.

So, regarding the Alien's behavior, The AI of the Xenomorph in "Alien: Isolation" is quite sophisticated and was designed to create a tense, unpredictable gameplay experience that stays true to the cunning and terrifying nature of the creature as depicted in the "Alien" franchise. Here’s how it works, diving into both the specific behaviors you mentioned and the broader AI design: Dual-Layered AI System Director AI: This overarching AI controls the general pacing of the game and the Alien's appearances. It ensures that the Alien's encounters with the player are unpredictable and spread out over time, preventing the game from becoming too easy or impossibly difficult. The Director AI manages the tension by monitoring the player's progress and stress level, adjusting the Alien's behavior and presence accordingly to maintain a consistent level of challenge and fear. Hunter AI (The Alien): The Alien itself operates on a more immediate, tactical level. It uses a complex set of behaviors and sensory inputs to hunt the player. The Alien's AI is designed to be unpredictable, using sight, sound, and even the player's past actions to track them down. It learns from the player's behavior, adapting over time; if the player uses the same tactic too often (like hiding in lockers), the Alien becomes more likely to check those places. Behavioral Logic and Killing vs. Capturing Killing vs. Capturing: In the context of "Alien: Isolation," the game often depicts the Xenomorph killing humans (including Ripley, if caught) rather than capturing them for use as hosts for new Xenomorphs. While this might seem at odds with the lore, there are a few possible explanations from a game design perspective: Immediate Threat Response: The game's AI might interpret Ripley and other humans primarily as immediate threats to neutralize, rather than potential hosts. This simplifies the Alien's behavior, focusing on the hunt and the player's attempts to evade detection. Gameplay and Technical Constraints: Capturing and transporting humans to a hive for impregnation by facehuggers would require a level of complexity and player incapacitation that might not suit the game's design goals, which emphasize stealth and survival in a continuous play environment. AI Behavior and Game Experience The AI is designed to give the Alien a sense of intelligence and unpredictability, making it feel like a living, breathing adversary that is always learning and adapting to the player's actions. This creates a high-stakes game of cat and mouse, where the player must constantly evolve their strategies to avoid detection and survive. Exploration and Hunting: The Alien's AI is not scripted to follow a predetermined path but instead explores the environment actively searching for the player and responding to noises. Sensory Perception: The Alien uses a combination of sight, sound, and possibly other senses to detect the player. It's attracted to noise, such as gunfire or running, and can also be distracted by devices the player can craft, like noisemakers. Learning Mechanism: The Alien's AI adapts to the player's behavior. If the player frequently hides in lockers, the Alien will start checking these more often. However, this adaptation is balanced to avoid making the game unfairly difficult, ensuring that players can still use stealth and strategy to evade the Alien. The AI design in "Alien: Isolation" achieves a delicate balance between creating a realistic, lore-consistent Xenomorph and maintaining an engaging, playable game. While some behaviors may seem to deviate from the established lore, they serve to enhance the gameplay experience, ensuring that players remain engaged and challenged throughout their time aboard the Sevastopol station.
