Yes...they were in the AHL and were the minor league affiliate for Toronto. They were well supported playing at the old Duquesne Gardens which was eventually replaced by the Civic Arena (Igloo) The Hornets won the AHL Calder Cup championship in their last ever season on 1966-67

2:11 The Penguins and Coach Red Kelly wearing ear muffs on bench is from a 1970 game at St Louis Arena.

Yep! Blues won 6-0. The muffs came off after about the 3rd Blues goal. Wakely got the shutout.

I can remember back in 1975 when the Pens nearly folded or moved to another city and thankfully, that did not happen.

Thanks for your videos. Hockey has always been my favorite sport and I am finally starting to be able to afford some equipment so I can play the most exciting game in the world

I'm still surprised the Pens traded Ab McDonald to the Blues before the 68-69 season. He had two fine years in STL. Bowman's trade of Ron Schock to the Pens was one of his few bad trades in STL.
