@@MsMojo I knew Judy Greer, Gary Cole, Stephen Tobolowsky and Stephen Root. I really thought you’d have Clyde Kusatsu on there. He’s definitely someone who people recognize but don’t know his name.
@@MsMojo I knew a lot of them but I had to think really hard for some of their names. For me, Judy Greer, Luis Guzman and Stephen Root were easy cuz I like them. Walton Goggins I thought was Walter but Walton is a strange first name.
Judy Greer is fantastic, yet she's always typecast as the "Best Friend." She deserves to take the lead in a project.
I think someone suggested that Judy should play Ava Gardner.
Jawbreaker wouldn’t work without her & Rose McGowan.
Also just fuckin AMAAAAZIIIING as Cheryl, Carol, Cherline, etc. on Archer 😂
I love Judy Greer. We used to call her The Taco Lady because she was in a commercial about tacos. She was in one of my favorite movies: The Descendants.
I agree with you she's so pretty and talented she should be the lead in a rom-com there's no shame in being a supporting character but every actor should take the lead here and there
How the hell is Richard Jenkins not on this list?! He himself has admitted a lot of people will notice him on the street, but not know his name. He bounces back and forth effortlessly between comedies and dramas as well as period films and contemporary films. Among his accolades, he's won an Emmy and received 2 Oscar nominations.
Definitely recognize Goggins, Martindale, Stephen Root, and Kurt Fuller.
Its nice that you do this. There are SO many actors who's faces are as familiar as the major stars.but whose names we never really get to know. However I think most of us know who Gary Cole is. Ever since American Gothic with Lucas Black.

To a point I think it’s kinda good to be recognized my face but not name. You get consistent work, you’re technically famous but you don’t have to worry as much about the price of fame.

Probably the most accurate list. Besides Judy Greer everyone on this list I've seen in a lot of movies and TV shows but I never knew their name.
It’s hard to choose as there are so many, but if I had to choose, it would be Jacqueline Mazzarella and Travis Flory. They were both on Everybody Hates Chris, but they both never had leading roles after the series ended.

There are so many "Oh, that guy!" and "Ooow she's in it!" and your thought is that whatever your watching...now you KNOW it's going to be good. The unsung heros of so many projects. The only name I knew was Root, but I knew most of them by sight.

I knew most of these, because they are actually the actors that make each project they’re in shine so much brighter. They’re far more interesting than the big name actors, to me anyhow. More that should be on this list are Ed Beagley Jr., Edie McClurg, Alan Tudyk and Kathleen Freeman. All amazing character actors that have a ton of credits but no one knows their names.

How did Rob Riggle not make the list? He’s that guy who shows up in literally ever mainstream mid 2000s-early 2010s comedy movie! He’s also been in Modern Family, Key and Peele, and Victorious!

You failed to include Melanie Lynskey in this list. She should've been placed either at number 3 spot or in the 'honourable mentions' segment. Furthermore, I'm still waiting to see a top 10 rundown of her greatest performances. 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of her professional debut. That milestone should warrant a list solely centred on her accomplishments as an actress.

I know Gary Cole from a show called Midnight Caller & a movie from 1989 called Those she left Behind.
He also had his own tv series called Midnight Caller, He played Jack Killian, nicknamed "Nighthawk." Killian was an ex-SFPD officer who had accidentally killed his partner. He became a night time radio talk show host, trying to help people. And then a serial killer calls in...
It was a pretty good show, and it lasted for five seasons.

I kinda know Gary Cole. His kid went to school with my kids. I think he’s a good actor but (I hate to say this) in real life he’s kind of a dick. I once told him I liked him in a movie , Fatal Vision, and he basically ignored me. Like he was too good to deal with “the common folk”. Oh well, sometimes I learn the ugly side of some actors. Where my kids went to school there were a bunch of actors and “wanna be” actors. That’s how it is in LA sometimes
