Literally was so bad at maths in year 9/10 and I did not get it but in year 11 literally practised it so much, took time to understood it/asked for help too and did so many questions and ended up getting an A* and got an A at A level maths and now it comes to me more naturally than ever. Practise really helps in maths, doing all the questions in your textbook and you'll be able to recognise maths problems more.
Your advice in your Instagram story changed my entire day: "It's never to late to make an unproductive day into a productive one." I was down on myself for not getting things done earlier but became motivated again after hearing those words. :)
Ayat Butera How do you revise with the videos? Do you just work through the topics you struggle with or do you watch through everything? I struggle with maths videos because I feel like I'm not learning much :/
What I do is I start with the very beginning of the videos that i struggle with and work my way through them, however I do divide my time on past papers from mathsgenie and attempt every question, and take note of the topics im strugglin on. Don't worry, just make sure to spend this whole easter studying for as many subjects and end of your day with maths and you will manage to cover every topic hopefully before the real exams x
December 2016 I was working at a 4 in maths and my tutor said he didn't think I'd be able to handle A level. Fast forward to now, I ended up getting a 7 in my GCSE and am loving A level maths (but struggling too) but I won't give up! Anyone can do it, just listen to Jades advice and honestly it's what I did to get better. :)
Jade OMG well done for getting a grade 7 from a 4!! 🙌 I'm doing my GCSEs this year and this is my exact situation - I got a grade 4 in my mocks in January and I really want a grade 7 to do Maths at A-level bc I really enjoy it, but my teachers don't think I'll be able to get it.. Although I'm not letting that bring me down & I revise Maths everyday, I just wanted to ask exactly what was your most effective revision technique from December to January and how often you worked at Maths? Thanks for sharing this - it really motivated me! ❤
No way, I was just struggling with math's lmao... Perfect timing. I love your videos. I've been struggling with motivation in Easter... Could you make a video on studying motivation, or doing small things which will change your mindset or something along the lines.. Love ya xx
This came at the perfect time! I tried doing Maths revision today and really struggled to find the motivation, thank you so much for this perfect advice! ❤️🌟
omg I really needed this video, jade!! i’m currently doing the same courses as you but in the United States at a local community college. love all the science I get to do but HATE all the math courses I have to do bc I want to go into biochemistry! math has never come easy to me and have always loved language based things like, but with a high interest level in science and needing to do all this math has been a BIG adjustment. the points about it being a mental state is a great help and just having to spend more time on it was a good reminder for me. tysm for this video and have a wonderful evening!♥️
MORE TIPS FOR MATHS: - write down questions/things you dont understand while you're doing practice questions/revision. writing down specific questions will help your teacher explain the one thing you dont get better and also you'll get insight in what aspect of a problem you dont get, this way you can focus on that more instead of practising just EVERYTHING - practice reoccuring problems!! in order to do well at your exam, a lot of times you'll need to do well at basic things like finding the derivative, solving for x etc etc. practising these 'core skills' will really help you when trying to solve harder problems - look for key words! in a lot of problems theres these key words that tell you what to do, for instance, if the question contains the words maximum/minimum/extreme value, chances are you have to find the derivative at some point. so even when you have no clue what you have to do, you can still be credited points for your derivative - make use of your calculator. im not sure about other countries but in the netherlands we get to use a graphic calculator, make sure you use it! it can help you to check your answers on your exam, graph certain functions etc - make drawings/sketches of a problem to visualize it! this is probably your best bet when you dont have any clue what to do in a certain problem, a nd also this can help to check if your answers are realistic I hope these helped!!!
This is such an incredible topic to cover, Jade!! I personally struggle with maths massively, to the point where i burst into tears whenever theres a question slightly mathsy in any of my lessons. It's comforting to hear you give such strong advice. I'm forever behind you!
OMGGG this is just what i needed!!! literally, spend the whole day sulking over maths today and just admitting that i will never get it right, this video changed me. I'm a different person now. I LOVE YOU
Been needing this. I'm naturally a mathematical person but since doing a level maths I've just been getting more and more into a rut, and there never seems to be advice other than practise!! Love you Jade ❤️
Thank you!!!! like maths is my weakest subjects for me it takes time to understand it the whole methods and all. I feel like i'm useless at this. Just need some practise and hope in the future i'll ace it. Thank you once again
I can't say I struggle with Maths but this video is amazing anyways. You are honestly doing good to so many people by not presenting yourself as perfect. Keep it up you are such an inspiration. 💕
literally this couldn’t have come at a better time- so after taking further maths for a level and CONSTANTLY having a breakdown about it; thanks jade x
I appreciate this video so much omg, I'm resitting my GCSE maths for the FOURTH time and I'm determined to get my grade, I need it for University in September ahh
In year 10, I asked my maths teacher to go over a step in a topic we were learning and she said, "You're taking the rest of the class back" and some of the students seemed to agree with her :/
wow.......that must have been rlly hard, I once asked my math teacher if he could explain a topic we were doing and he straight up said "no" with a smile on his face lol
This is true tbh , sometimes teachers need to understand that students need help and when teachers say things like that which makes students think of giving up , I once asked aswell my math teacher said "can't you pay attention in class I don't wanna repeat anything "🙁
I am exactly like you! I love learning languages and grasp them really fast, but if i put my heart and soul into learning a mathematical concept then you can wake me up in the middle of the night and i'd still tell you exactly what it is!😊 love you Jade, thanks for the unswerving motivation and inspiration ❤
Thank you for this video school is returning i’m going to year 11 and i’m high key stressing,i’ve been watching different videos and this is the most realistic relatable video i’ve watched all day🥺❤️so inspirational
I was crying about how I will never succeed in maths, but this video popped up! Your such a blessing Jade, keep being amazing, I love your channel so much✨✨♥️♥️
Perfect timing as I’m struggling big time with derivatives right now... I seriously want to quit but trying to just power through it all, thanks for the video💙
I can relate so much to being naturally better at languages and social subjects as opposed to logical subjects like maths!! I'm just wondering why you picked A-level subjects that are more basic on logical skills rather than language and the comprehension of concepts?
This really makes me smile I know so many students struggling with maths when I was a GCSEs and I wish I could've recommended this video but this is on point xx
I love this video! I feel the same- I have always struggled with maths, I may not be awful at it but it’s definitly a subject I struggle with. I just find words are much easier to work with than numbers. I’m also not someone to put my hand up in class if I’m struggling so the bit you said about that has really helped. ❤️
jade..i love you..you know one thing my exams are coming on..and i don't feel like studying and want to quit sometimes...BUT You MY DEAR FREIND. .with your videos and that smile and that positivity that you have...makes me open up my buks and start studyn....love you Jade...godblessyou buddy😚
I just want to say thank you because I feel like you’re such a great role model and you’re videos are so chilled but motivating at the same time. Also you’re really pretty and it must be empowering to not wear makeup, I’d never feel comfortable enough to go out the house without concealer for my rosey cheeks! Thank you for sharing your positivity! X
You’re just like me, this video has made me feel so much better about myself. I find maths really hard. And I definitely lean more towards English and other language related subjects. It really helped being able to hear this. Thank you.
This video couldn't have come in a better time! I've been always working really hard for all my finals(especially math) but it just doesn't pay off with good marks. Thank you for making this video Jade! ♥
Honestly this is so needed! I’m one of those weird people thats good at both English and maths, and I do both for A-level, but I definitely struggle with maths more! A month today all my a levels will be done and the only way I’m going to do well in maths is with a positive mindset and carry on working as well as I can, Thankyou Jade x
Your hair looks absolutely lovely in this video, even though I love your natural hair as well! 💜 I also struggle with maths, so this will come in handy!
Jade as someone who has been slightly struggling to keep up with my very smart maths class, this is so encouraging and motivating, ready to tackle it now xoxox
jade - thank you SO SO much for this video!! i find english so much easier than maths and i've had to do so much extra work for maths. so thank you, for continue to inspire me xxxxx lots and lots of love!!
Thank you so much Jade omg this is what i wanted so badly for so long!!! I kinda suck at math compared to all the other subjects. you inspire me so much Jade imma watch the video now omg ilysm
Really needed it this! I've always struggled with mathematics ever since I was little and sometimes I get upset over the fact that I'm not good at maths and I lack motivation to actuality revise or practice. But I'm trying to change that so I can be successful in all my GCSE maths exams.
Needed this video so badly! Thank you! I've always been in bottom set maths, I'm doing GCSE AQA foundation Maths and I've now grown to not like maths, and I've been told multiple times by my school that I only need to get that 4/5 and then I can be done with it, but it's not like that lol it's really hard for me to get maths, so thank you for this video :)
wow. You got an A* in gcse and maths doesn't come easy to you just like me yet you worked hard and it payed off! Thank you for inspiring and motivating me!
Just started watching this video. Realizing I'm the exact opposite. I love math! English however it much harder for me and just remembering words and meaning in general. Love your videos and will totally continue to watch.
ive always been amazing at maths, until year 10. i have no idea what happened but ive been struggling a lot to understand key concepts. this video has made me so motivated to regain that passion i had for numbers. thank you so much 💖💖
Loved you Easter revision video, I loved the layout and I’m using it this Easter, I felt like your way doesn’t make the effort to make a full timetable. Thank U !!!!❤️❤️🧡🧡💛💛💚💚💙💙💜💜
I was feeling pretty down on my maths and I worked on some practice papers and I got a much better score. I just have to believe that I can do it. I'm going to practice and practice for my next test. Thanks for this video it really inspired me ♥️🤗
Thank you so much for this video I can relate a lot to you because I’m really bad at maths and good at English and history . But I believe with effort and a positive mindset I can get good at Maths ♥️☺️
These advices are pretty accurate. I was never really great at maths but listening to the teacher, practicing and asking for help still got me some good grades (no As, but some B+s and Bs). I learned little from grade 7 to 9 and had to learn all of the old stuff before I could learn the new material. Maybe that's also important to say, especially for the people who struggle with mathematics. Just because you missed some stuff doesn't mean you'll never be able to learn it. You just need a good source to get your study material (a website, book, tutor, teacher, etc.).
Thank you so much Jade!!!! This was so much help. I felt so stupid and I used to be good at maths and now im not. Im going to try these tips and hopefully my maths marks will get better :)
Good to hear from someone else who isn't naturally a mathematical person. Last year I got an A in my N5 (Scottish GCSE) but in my prelim (mock) this year I got an F...My teacher hasn't been very helpful this year but I would recommend to people to get or even just borrow a Bright Red How To Pass book or something similar, because I've found it really helpful to read over a topic again if I didn't understand my teacher's explanation, and it also comes with some practice examples. I've found a lot of resources in my local library that I can just borrow when I need them, so it doesn't cost anything. Another point is that getting a tutor can really help too. I know not everyone can afford one, (I've just had a couple of sessions in the run up to exams) but it's good to get one on one help, especially if, your teacher's methods don't suit your learning, or if you have large, disruptive class. Failing that, I know that in my school, other teachers are willing to help and often run supported study sessions, and there's bound to be somebody who can help. But yeah really good video! (Especially after a day of intense maths revision)
Off to revise for my maths exam! Thanks for the tips and general help, I am a really shy person and often don’t ask for things to be explained more even though i have a brilliant teacher, but thus really helped❤️
OMG thank you sooo much! Although I can grasp most topics in maths quite easily, the reason I'm not getting grades 7, 8 or 9 (I'm in y11) is because I'm not practising maths enough! Knowing a certain topic in maths is one thing, but doing exam questions is a whole different thing! Now I know that I need to do a ton of exam questions for specific maths topics, especially since the new maths papers for the new spec are like a million times harder than the old spec papers, and I'm confident and determined to get that grade 8 or 9 and be able to do maths for A level!! Thanks Jade!!!!!!
Fortunately Im quite naturally inclined towards maths and was stuck on a 7 but then worked hard and now on an 8, 6 weeks to grind and get that 9, thanks for the motivation
I really love ur content, I’m in year 9, on that procrastination journey through the Easter holidays aha, and your videos have really helped me gain motivation to work hard and make notes thank you so so much!!
Thankyou Jade. This has actually given me some motivation. I've been given 2 complete maths papers as half- term homework. I'm still getting grade 4's in my mock exams. Hopefully I can improve my work ethic in about a month and a half xx
honestly Jade these videos help me so so much, I will honestly owe half my GCSE to you! You're so selfless and I'm so grateful that you put so much effort into your videos. You have honestly had a huge positive impact on so many peoples lives. You should be proud! x
I love your videos 💖! You inspire me to try my hardest and not become complacent with revision. You’re one of my favourite youtubers and I find you so motivating and just purely inspirational. You’ve supported me through year 11 so far. Exams are now 6 weeks away and I’m nervous but your videos just help me to relax and keep calm. Thank you for that. Lots of love 💗
Awhh Jess! 🙈 thank you so much for the lovely words; I really appreciate it. I promise that it really will all be okay! Just stay focused, remember to relax and the rest will fall into place. Lots of love x
Your literally amazing wth. I struggle at vectors as well I find it so hard and my teacher doesn’t explain it properly , every time I ask her to help me she says the same thing over and over again and it doesn’t help at all
I just want to say thank you so much for this video Jade, I have my Maths IB Exam coming up and I really needed the motivation so thank you for this advice! ❤️💘
Hi Jade. Absolutely love this video. So helpful !! I have struggled with maths my whole life but the last couple of weeks I have done extra maths with my teacher thanks to your motivation and I'm getting so much better. Love your channel 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
this is the first time i’ve watched one of your videos and i was about to comment how calming your voices when i saw the top comment saying how ppl have been mean about it and all i can say is wHAT? That sucks but i rlly love the way you talk it’s so relaxing :)
Tbh for the most part this video is pretty transferable, really useful. Personally, chemistry is my Achilles heal. It’s easy to feel defeated so thankyou💞
Very happy to see this in my subscription box. Great way to spend my break on a really productive day! I’m kinda the opposite of you cos I pick up topics quickly in lessons but it takes a while for me to remember methods so I have to do a lotttttt of revision
Love your videos so much!!! Please post More revision content as I’m really struggling with staying motivated for my GCSEs starting within the next few months xx
I needed to hear this! I have dyscalculia and so have always struggled with maths related subjects. Because of this I don’t tend to revise maths, and spend all my time on English instead(which is an issue as I’m sitting higher tier for maths lol). I guess if I want a 4 I’ll have to work for it. Thank you for the motivation, Jade😄🙏
Thank you jade! no seriously thank you! I will try and apply your tips for sure, but I have to say I cried at the end because for so long I have been putting myself down because of my grade, and it got to the point where I believed that I am bad at maths but thank you thank you thank you for helping me!
Who else does like video even without watching that 'cause we love you Jade 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘 I always have smile on my face when I watches your video You are full of positivity and that always reminds me to stay happy and face every problem with a smile on my face Just just love you Jade 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘 May God bless you and may every dreams of your get fulfilled 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘 Love you

Sam Keane wow! That's is a really useful advice! I'm so glad atm that you wrote this about Jade's advice :D
hegarty maths has improved my maths skills, i definitely recommend it x
Ayat Butera How do you revise with the videos? Do you just work through the topics you struggle with or do you watch through everything? I struggle with maths videos because I feel like I'm not learning much :/

This popped up just as I was in the middle of maths homework! Talk about perfect timing Jade ;) xx
Eva Bailey why did you have your phone when doing your homework 😂😅
Daniela Nastuta she has notifications on probs
No way, I was just struggling with math's lmao... Perfect timing. I love your videos. I've been struggling with motivation in Easter... Could you make a video on studying motivation, or doing small things which will change your mindset or something along the lines.. Love ya xx
Here's a math joke to hopefully cheer anyone up:
Q: Why did I divide sin by tan?
A: Just cos.
Yessss love this 😂
Lmao!! Thanks for sharing this funny joke! 😍😂
Omg lol😂

ive always been amazing at maths, until year 10. i have no idea what happened but ive been struggling a lot to understand key concepts. this video has made me so motivated to regain that passion i had for numbers. thank you so much 💖💖

What does it mean when you say year 10? Just curious because we say grade 10 in the US, which is the 2nd year of high school for ages around 14-15. :)
@@Burntcooki12 Year 10 in the UK is grade 9 in the US
Thank you so much. I needed this video, maths is my least preferred subject and you've just helped me in it by giving me CRUCIAL advice! x
Loved you Easter revision video, I loved the layout and I’m using it this Easter, I felt like your way doesn’t make the effort to make a full timetable. Thank U !!!!❤️❤️🧡🧡💛💛💚💚💙💙💜💜
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I've been having problems with maths all year, so these tips will really help! 😁
YOU'RE JUST SO LOVABLE
Jade you’re the best 🧡 honestly, so glad I found you
These advices are pretty accurate.
Thank you SO much for this! I'm doing the same A levels as you but maths has always been that wee bit tougher! This was such a refreshing video! ❤❤
Thankyou sooooo much for this video! Thanks for talking us through fixing our mindset. 💝😘
I guess I kinda needed the reminder.
Omg. I literally have been searching for a video on how to do maths an hour ago, I couldn’t find one and then bam you upload one. THANK YOU!
Fortunately Im quite naturally inclined towards maths and was stuck on a 7 but then worked hard and now on an 8, 6 weeks to grind and get that 9, thanks for the motivation
i was literally *just* stressing about maths and thinking how much i hate it, thank you for this.
How'd you end up doing?
honestly Jade these videos help me so so much, I will honestly owe half my GCSE to you! You're so selfless and I'm so grateful that you put so much effort into your videos. You have honestly had a huge positive impact on so many peoples lives. You should be proud! x
Proud to be one of your many subscribers x❤
Your voice alone is so calming and smooth it brings peace
I love your videos 💖! You inspire me to try my hardest and not become complacent with revision. You’re one of my favourite youtubers and I find you so motivating and just purely inspirational. You’ve supported me through year 11 so far. Exams are now 6 weeks away and I’m nervous but your videos just help me to relax and keep calm. Thank you for that. Lots of love 💗
Awhh Jess! 🙈 thank you so much for the lovely words; I really appreciate it. I promise that it really will all be okay! Just stay focused, remember to relax and the rest will fall into place. Lots of love x
Yasss I’m totally with you. I used to hate maths but gradually it has come to me by working hard x thanks for the other tips ❤️
Your literally amazing wth. I struggle at vectors as well I find it so hard and my teacher doesn’t explain it properly , every time I ask her to help me she says the same thing over and over again and it doesn’t help at all
This helped so much! Thank You, Jade! 💖🌎 You are person that can and will change world in to the better side.
No way I’ve been trying to power through maths all day this video is a GODSEND thank you!!!❤️
I just want to say thank you so much for this video Jade, I have my Maths IB Exam coming up and I really needed the motivation so thank you for this advice! ❤️💘

Ah, so interesting! 💜 thank you for sharing x
Same!
Same! I’m better at Chemistry and Math, rather than English and biology. But I still can’t make myself like Physics 🧐
Sara Aliyeva I’m the exactly same as you
I am the opposite lol😞

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. ALSO I WANT TO SAY YOU LOOK SO LOVELY IN THIS VIDEO AND EVERY OTHER ONE ♥️
Tbh for the most part this video is pretty transferable, really useful. Personally, chemistry is my Achilles heal. It’s easy to feel defeated so thankyou💞
Yesss jade killing it with the super helpful revision videos💥💥
Very happy to see this in my subscription box. Great way to spend my break on a really productive day! I’m kinda the opposite of you cos I pick up topics quickly in lessons but it takes a while for me to remember methods so I have to do a lotttttt of revision
Love your videos so much!!! Please post
More revision content as I’m really struggling with staying motivated for my GCSEs starting within the next few months xx
Your hair looks so nice in this 😍 and this was really helpful for me thank you Jade, much love 💞
Thank you jade! no seriously thank you! I will try and apply your tips for sure, but I have to say I cried at the end because for so long I have been putting myself down because of my grade, and it got to the point where I believed that I am bad at maths but thank you thank you thank you for helping me!
