Whew, trying to catch up by binge watching! I keep saying that I’m going to get an airbrush and you may have motivated me to do it! Very inspirational! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and encouragement.
Amazing technique that no one should be afraid of and anyone can do because its based on making "happy accidents" as one famous painter would say. Another great video. Stay well. -Wil 👍
Thank You Will. In my early years I used to suffer from "perfection" syndrome. When I got over it, everything opened up into a new creative world . . . Boomer.
Finally had time to kick back and watch the next three videos on this series. Fantastic work and I have learnt a couple of new techniques. I love the use of washes at the very end. I have always been a weathering powders modeller, mixing the powders with isopropyl alcohol and painting on, leaving a thin wash, but I think I'll go down the wash as you have shown us. Thank you once again ! Cheers, Gary.
Paint pigments are another great medium to combine with other methods as you noted. It sounds like you are already familiar with Isopropyl Alcohol Glad to here it. Thanks for the compliment as well. Cheers.
This was a really great series.. I have saved these to my favorites..and from time to time I'll go back and binge watch the series on a quiet day and take in some details that may not have seated in my memory.. Thank you for sharing these techniques that are tried and true.
Very impressed with the pink warehouse. That back door is too clean, no trash around the dumpster. Graffiti on those structures and the fence to blend in with your rolling stock. Just my observation.
I just discovered your channel and I can not get enough of it. I own an airbrush and I am committed to doing as great as a job as you, watching your videos gets me excited to use it. I have already started buying Tamiya and I do have a lot of the same Model Air colors that I use for my modeling. How dose the X-21 react to wood? Can I get similar effects using something else if that is not compatible? Would love to see you work a wood model.
Thank you for sharing. That was very enjoyable. The fence looks awesome. I see you got a new Locomotive. Are you going to do you magic on it as well? Thanks again.
I figured that would not slip by you Vincent. . . lol. Eventually, I`ll paint it. Six axle only works good on the main here though. I am glad to hear you picked up an Omni 5000 (your comment did not post for some reason). The hole on the side doesn`t matter. Omni 5000`s are awesome Airbrush for the money. Cheers.

You are welcome Thom. If you get one, practice on a piece of carboard for a bit until you get comfortable. Then, just go for it and have fun - Boomer.
You are a master for sure. Great ideas thanks!
Thanks for sharing. I hope you are inspired!😁
Dude, you've blown my mind again with that fence. Got my air brush running. Stoked Boomer. Thank you.
Enjoy!
Excellent
Thank You. Cheers.
Washes made a huge difference. This has opened up a lot of my thought process on my future scratch builds. Thanks for sharing. Dave
I am glad to hear you are opening up your thinking on weathering washes. Cheers.
I'm still binge watching, I've yet to skip through a single episode... skip back to watch again and take a note or two, yes. Skip though?? HAH!!!
I'm glad your having fun with it. I hope is stokes your passion and compels you to pursue the hobby more. Cheers ~ Boomer.
That really does look good. Great presentation.
Thank You Larry. Cheers.

Those weathered pipes look amazingly real! Thanks for taking us on another journey. The whole series was great!
Thank You Mike. I`m glad you enjoyed the series - Boomer.
Very cool, man that looks good!
Thank You CB.
Great work! Funny how it took me years to realize that washes often get the best weathering effects
Yes. The trick is multiple thin layers built up as filters and glazes. Cheers ~ Boomer.
I see you are using some of my brushes...
Oh . . . no . . . lol.
Caught red handed! Lol!
Beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!

Thank You for that. It makes all the post production work worthwhile. Cheers. - Boomer.

Absolutely Sub Sailor! But you know how it is . . . save some of the those juicy details until last - Boomer.

Welcome aboard! X-21 has a similar effect on wood depending on the surface texture. So many variables in this hobby. Just try and see! Cheers.

Outstanding paint series! Does it work the same with craftsman wood kits?
Wood is a different approach, but similar. Thin washes are still my method though.
