    Whomever was operating the dozer pushing the brush/timber has not spent any time learning how to do it properly. You never ever push brush into brush. Just makes a lot more work doing it that way. You want to work along the sides an drop your brush into open cleared areas. Much faster and easier to clean it up when it’s being piled. Always clear all the brush/ timber before starting to pile it. Saves a lot of time, and costs in machine and labor time.

    We used to have a Cat D10R at work for stripping ground before we could drill and blast. That big boy would go through some pretty big trees with ease.

    Well you have a great attitude, love animals (I hope) and one great farm dog who doesn't understand why you leave for school or other things that put us in the travel mode. Good luck

    All of the neighbors adjacent to our farms dozed out all their, wood lots, fence rows and windbreaks and now we can't seem to keep them off our property because we kept our wildlife habitat. The loss in income is worth it, but we sure don't like people who destroys theirs using ours.

    That dozer is a beauty. I've only ran a D8T which is similar weight class, and a 755k which is a track loader. But im a fan of the 772g grader i operate at work.

    FYI......You shouldn’t see sparks coming off the tracks of dozers! You don’t operate dozers any faster than 2.5 gear. Any faster is excessive wear on the undercarriage. (That is the tracks, sprockets, and rollers!)

    Nice to see the 1050 , but the difference of a contractor and farmer are huge! Contractor dozing for a living is a different world!! Shows farming can pay !

    I’m not a farmer so sorry if it’s a dumb question but what’s the advantage to tracks on that auger wagon?

    • @goldingerfarms9357
      @goldingerfarms9357  3 года назад +2

      The tracks have a lot more surface area to decrease compaction. They also ride a lot smoother. Only downside is that they cost more and you can’t turn as tight

    Cool operation. You should turn off the engine on that diesel before the ignition. Your deadheaded alternator/generator will thank you!

    Clearing with a dozer def takes some skills. That guy did a jam up job. I hate John Deere dozers. If you can see my profile picture I’ve spent way too much time in an 850k

    One thing you don't want in your fleet is a hydrostatic drive John deere dozer I've owned two of them there good for about 2500 hrs then look out repairs an deere is expensive.. a good cat d7 an a older one will out performe the 1050 ten times over an will hold its trade in value ,my experence with deere loaders great graders so so but the computer new age is a night mare

      Very true! Now days most are very greedy. They care more about making more money than the wildlife or conservation.

      @UCGoQMPUozBq86kKj9ISCDhA yeah well listen, we are actually currently clearing around 30 acres of a new farm we have just purchased, at the same time our city is trying to build an outer loop, sort of bypass deal, right through our 244 acre homestead farm and using imminent domain to take it. We farm almost 6000 acres. You do realize they dont make more of it right? You sound incredibly stupid talking about greed. We actually have a guy who stops by every now and then to shoot the shit and says we hate trees but you have no fucking clue, it we had to worry about conservation, we would lose so much time and money whenever there is already government jobs that make sure we don't clear the wrong areas or take to many trees. Please with the upmost sincerity from every level headed farmer in the world, don't speak on things you have no clue about imbecile
