I'm sure that you've seen this video, but if you haven't here's Ricks drum tech breaking down his kit: ruclips.net/video/5KuV7ZaNEp0/видео.html ruclips.net/video/1nBdxAWVz9M/видео.html
Hey Spencer, is there anyway i could get ricks drum sounds on my roland? Also can u make as video of rocket with long music pause except the drums? I watched your other video on it but i would like to see if u could play the other version? Thanks
Rick's actual drum sounds are, for the most part, proprietary. I'm sure they recorded them in the studio and then loaded them to the sampler that he triggered from. You might could sample them from the album and then load them to your module. Another thing to consider is his actual live sounds were quite dry and flat. FOH added tons of effects to his sounds. And of course album sounds consists of many layers of different sounds and effects. The video with Rocket I did earlier was more of a learning curve. I definitely intend to do Rocket again, though to make it believable it is going to require some looping. I have a sampler on the way but will still take some time to set it up and get it going. That one is going to take some work. Is there a specific part of the song you are trying to hear?
@@spencerlangley7333 yes..i absolutely love the double on the bass and the looping on the hats. I want to create that sound. I see alot of drummer's trying to do that and it sounds so stupid..not to be mean. I like to play it the right way. So im going to have to create that sound somehow.
@@ericluttrell8760 I am going the route of old school sampler, just because I prefer the gritty sounds. I'm not sure what the Roland modules are capable of, but if you could program a sequence, triggered by one hit you should be successful. Or possibly one of those Alesis sample pads. Any sequencer that you can program your own sounds into should work nicely.
Dude, you’re technical enough to make your own e cymbals, and set this kit, and films this in portrait 🙄. Btw thw drum modules are super redundant these days... a laptop and a usb interface would do the same job.
I agree laptop would do the job. However, the purpose of this particular project was to recreate the kit and setup exactly as it would have appeared in 1987/88. Both in form and function. So the hardware approach would be the most realistic. Since this video, I have added Ddrum modules and Shark pedals. So in a live setting, this setup works much better.
Nice rack! Hopefully you resolve all the technical issues? And keep going, make more videos! ❤❤❤ the drum 🥁 kit!!
Wow. Impressive. A lot of hard work. You’re very smart. Pretty good drummer too. Keep it up.

Will you be putting up a tour of the Adrenalize kit?
Unfortunately, the Adrenalize kit was sold to a good friend who is actually a true one-armed drummer. He is enjoying it immensely!!

Are you gonna do adrenalize kit songs?
ryan turner gonna try and get through a majority of the Hysteria stuff first. Also waiting on some artwork for the bass drum. 😎👍🏻
What kind of bass pedal are you using? It kinda looks like Ricks from ITRIYF
HxghLxnder it is in fact the same make and model. Not his but the exact same kind. A Pearl of some sort.
