You know I don't endorse things often (almost never), but this one has the potential to really help people. I bought the bed sheet, a yoga mat, the desk mat, and the feet wraps. (I know- kinda went all in!) I recently went on vacation in Florida and walked miles on the beach every day. I took my feet grounding wraps with me and slept with them on every night. (So small- great for travel in my opinion.) My order was sent with a free book too! Thanks in advance for your support to my channel and happy grounding!
Just a quick FYI on the grounding......I have a cousin who does the grounding and has found out that plugging into an outlet is not good because it is what they call "dirty electricity." Instead, he puts it out a window to a grounding rod directly into the ground. I have also just started my journey back to health. Thank you for the uplifting and encouraging thoughts. Hearing you have back issues also and see what all you do is encouraging to me, that I can be healthy and active again after two back surgeries. Muscle building, that is what I need. Thanks Brooke, and Be Blessed!
Thanks for this video. I am 53, in poor physical condition, and recovering from a broken leg. I have been thinking seriously about pulling myself together now that I am better able to walk. This affirmation came at the perfect time.
She's right you can do it. I have Thryroid and adrenal problems, so the cold is brutal on me. I wish I could do the cold showers. I used to build things (decks, drywall ect) I danced all my life since a child, I could do everything as a single Mom, myself. You wouldn't know it looking at me that I could do all that. I'm very petite and not muscular. I now have a brain tumor and feel like I'm defeated. Fatigued all the time and can't accomplish things like before. It's not too late for YOU though. Start NOW not tomorrow, while you still can because YOU CAN do this! ❤
When I was 51, I started digging a koi pond with a shovel. It was 2,000 gallons with a brick waterfall. I had zero experience. I wanted the pond. It took me about 8 months because I broke my arm and had to wait 8 weeks to resume. It was totally mind over matter. I had to figure out how to move huge boulders. My husband helped me using pulleys and wood. It almost didn’t happen. I had a few more injuries but, I finished and the pond was beautiful! Brooke, you are the best inspiration on RUclips. Thank you for helping propel and give purpose to women over 50. I’m 70 now and I do what I want!
Brooke you are my biggest inspiration. I had my first and only child at 40, and i knew that would put my cabin building dreams on hold. I got FOMO and quite upset, because I didn’t want to be in my 50’s starting my dream. And then while I was pregnant, i found your channel and it blew my mind. I’m so in awe of your capabilities and it gave me so much *knowing* that I can do it too. Thank you for sharing your journey with us and being that inspiration that i, and probably many other women NEED. I’ll be 44 this summer, but because of you, my age no longer bothers me. You go girl! So happy for you! 😎🥳💕
Don't worry about going out into the woods and building something with your blessed child! My parents took the plunge when I was 10, and I was the eldest of the lot... It did us kids nothing but good! And thanks to that lifestyle, I was fully prepared to dive into the off-grid life in the woods that I am now living, in my mid-forties and a grandmother :)
Just try to pace yourself.. I’m 69 now and have used my body my whole life.. it catches up with you.. Joints wear down.. etc.. like I said pace yourself.. lots of water and good tools🙏💙🙏good luck!
@@wendyallen5105 Yes! You can say that again! I am 70 and totally agree with you! I exercise every day using my ChairGym. It has resistant bands....I get a good gentle workout for 30 minutes. I drink a "ton" of water everyday. We all need to keep moving! ❤ 💃
So I’m a 76 year old guy who used to lift weights in a gym and would bicycle about 1,100 miles a year. My wife died 5 years ago and much of that exercising slowly became almost nonexistent. I’ve been resurrecting biking again and using a Bowflex at home along with some free weights. I’ve watched you off and on with admiration I must say. Rediscovered you after being away for a while. I’ve already signed up with my email on the Whipple newsletter. I’ll conclude by saying I think this video is the most important one you’ve ever done. I thank you Dear Lady!!😘
@@annday3784 I wish us both good luck!🤞🏻🙏🏻 I go up and down on my exercise routines but never give up! I don’t eat badly but there’s room, as always, for improvement! Your response was rather timely as it became a bit of a spark and motivation to fully get back on track especially considering there were a few more aches on a morning where I should/could have slept a couple of hours longer. So I thank you and I’ll say again good luck to us both! Never give up!👍
Hey Brooke, turning 60 on a few weeks, decided some months ago to reclaim my health this year. Have lost 50 lbs, have about 50 to go. Started hiking again and just got a rebounder. Love what you said about stretching and breathing. It has helped in the past, I need to get back to those exercises again. God's blessings on all your endeavors and thanks for your encouragement and inspiration.
Brooke you've got this! Speaking as a woman who is about to turn 61, I'm still able to hard graft. I still have good muscle tone and I'm still extremely strong just through doing my everyday manual work. You are such an inspiration to so many people.
I started watching you and your husband when you were on ALONE. I have always been impressed with what you two do and enjoy your videos. This video is very inspiring, and I already have a grounding mat that a friend bought for me, and I do watch what I eat but apparently not enough protein. I have gotten bored with my life. I have lived a very good outdoor life and also worked for 45 years as a Paramedic and during that time I also worked off and on full time and part time for 35 years as a whitewater raft guide. I was overweight but I have lost 75 pounds since June 1, 2023, and continue to lose. I have over 27,000 miles of canoeing under my belt and this year I will get back into a canoe. I haven't been in one for almost 6 years. I have decided to get back into sports this coming summer and your video has just boosted my want to do so. Thank you so much! It is what this 71-year-old needed to jumpstart his summer.
I'm 69 and starting to train for my 3rd attempt at the Appalachian Trail. Injuries have taken me out twice before. I figured out I didn't do enough strength training and stretching. Adding that in this year. Watched you for many years now, Brooke. You and Dave never cease to inspire me.
I’m 64 and have a couple of issues (bone spurs in my spine & osteoarthritis in my 1 knee) that will make things tough for me, but I’m going for it. I am walking and working on physical therapy workouts that I can do with my physical issues. You have been inspirational for me Brooke, God has called you to inspire ladies like myself….I’m so grateful that you’re doing these videos and pushing back on age!
Oh my goodness I’m so glad I found you! I live in Alaska too and I am 55 and I cleared our land manually last summer. My goal is to just build a little fire pit gazebo in the next summer or two. But at least the property is a little bit usable now and we can even camp there. Thank you for the inspiration, I’m gonna keep going!!!!
@@therealgirlinthewoods Brooke I would love to know your favorite book of the Bible and why ❤ also you remind me a lot of my aunt Joyce not personality wise but more so just look like her..God bless
Ok Miss Brooke! I am 73… you are still a youngster to me… YOU CAN DO THIS! When I was 52 I was young and strong, just like you!You go girl… I enjoy your strength. Thank you for being strong . Love your programs … Suzanne
You are such an aspirational woman. I am 37, breaking away from the normal way of life society has programmed me to believe in. Manifesting my own land to one day do the things you are doing. You are a phenomenal woman. Thank you for being you and for sharing your experiences. You bring so much hope and power to the community. ❤
Hey Brooke perfect timing for me to come start a new journey to better health! I am turning 65 this year and have definitely noticed that my range of motion is getting worse! Looking forward to hearing more from you on this journey and checking out these resources! Blessings 💖
I'm 68 and weight train 6 days a week. I started back at 66! I have gained muscle! I like being STRONG if you do one the other will happen. I have been known to do leg workouts where ever I may be hiking where there are big rocks I can pick up. I was raised on a farm and everything is a workout. I admire your dedication to adventure.
You are such a hard driven person Brooke. Thank you for sharing all your thoughts and ideas . Always look forward to seeing your videos. Love from Ohio
I really enjoyed this informative video! I am 55 (56 in July) this time last year I was prediabetic. Since then I cut out most carbs and sugar and have lost 33 lbs since last February. I am not where I want to be as far as working out. We put in a home gym with free weights, stationary bike and a treadmill but I have yet to use it. You have inspired me to get on it and do something!!! I have always been athletic and spent many hrs at our local gym until menopause set in. I hope this is a new beginning! Thanks for what you do!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Brooke! I went Carnivore almost a year ago. Now more Ketovore, but heavy on the meat. 63 years old and need to keep strong! Not on any meds, still to this day. So many seniors suffer from sarcopenia because since the 80's we have been told to eat low fat, no red meat and so on. People need to research how that all came about!!!! Love you and Bushradical and your son! Subbed all your channels ❤ P. S. Look into 50-100mg of B6 for a few months for your tennis elbow/carpal tunnel. Hello from Alberta, Canada 😊
Brooke, you're such an inspiration and have definitely motivated me, for sure. I'm also 52. I had Covid really really bad in April 2020, followed by a pretty bad case of long haul Covid. Watching your videos inspired me to go outside and do just a little more every day. I am now back to being a ski instructor, and am in PT for hyper mobile connective tissue disorder. So with this diagnosis, I can't follow your program exactly, but I do cold showers, got into gardening and fixing up my property, and made it up to AK in August, finally. Thank you, Brooke!
Thank you Brooke for the inspiration. I’m 75. It’s taken 3 months post the new variant of Covid to start feeling better. It had zapped me of all my energy. I’m not looking for a miracle but have been inspired by this video to make my physical being feel and work better. Again, thank you. 🌻❤️👍🏻
Hi Brooke! Love your videos and your quite the inspiration. I’m a 63 year male and not as healthy or active as I should be so your video gave me pause. I downloaded both audio books and have decided to get back to lifting weights. Can’t wait to see your cabin build and thank you again for the mental kick in the butt.
I just discovered your channel about an hour ago, and have been watching bit after bit. You seem so wholesome, strong, focused, and genuinely joyful about living. And somehow you manage to convey this in the most unaffected and appealing way. It's such a cliche to say this, but I will because it's true: you're genuinely inspirational. Your vitality, devotion, voluntary simplicity are making me rethink my life in a positive and wonderful way. An important reminder to make the most of what matters and to remember that we're always right in the middle of it. Thank you, and many blessings.
Thanks Brooke. You made me realize at 65 I can start a new chapter in my health and activity. My mom is 89 and has been lifting weights for 5 years. We are about the same size and weight but she is in better health than I. I'm really motivated now to start getting more physical and have been eating much better in the last 3 months.
Brooke, I really needed this today. I lost my son about a year and a half ago and since then I've felt like 'what's the use?'. I've given up on my health almost completely. I know I need to take charge again, but it seems like it's hopeless. You've given me a "glint" that all is not lost. Now, if I could just MAKE myself do something about it. Thank you for this video. Blessings to you.
I needed this! Since I lost my husband 7 years ago I have stop exercising and girl do I feel it!! I'll be 52 in less than a month and I really want to start exercising again and feel better so thank you for this inspiration!
62.5 and getting back to doing elementary level wim hof and exercising. So motivating to see that older lady with muscular arms without flabby skin. I'm pumped to getting into better shape mentally as well as physically. Thanks for the reminder and all the tips Brooke! ❤ ❤ ❤
I have always been in really good shape (I'm 54) and a few years ago my back just started aching whenever I bent to work or lifted anything heavy. That's super upsetting to deal with, arthritis. Super happy to watch your work here, thanks for sharing your stories.
Yup...I am 70......I have arthritis in my lower back....X-rays show it and I feel it! I use my ChairGym everyday for 30 minutes. That's made a big difference along with water! Hydration is essential! Keep moving! ❤💃
52?! dang girl i thought you were my age. what an inspiration, turning 36 this spring and trying to get into shape to take on some construction projects... was a little worried i was starting too late but now i feel silly. i hope i look that good and feel that strong at 52! git awn with your bad self!
Brooke, thank you so much for your wonderful share tonight. So much inspiring information and your own personal health journey. I didn’t know about Ms. McDonald , and at 72 I was really needing to hear her story. I had quit going to the gym and lost so much muscle mass. A few weeks ago I started a new healthy eating plan, and now I’m inspired to take the next step. My husband and I are both hard workers, we just don’t have the energy we used to. We built our own log home ourselves back in 2005 using antique logs. We have always had these huge projects including finishing out our new home where we live now, which took us 6 months last winter and spring. I’m not ready to quit, I just needed so inspiration. Thank you and Dave for all you pass on to us!! God bless you and your family!!🙌🏻👏🏻❤️
Thank you for all the wonderful advise. I’m 78 and getting ready for my second lumbar fusion. I’m still as active as I can be, but haven’t done weights in awhile so will begin back to strengthening my upper body. After surgery I’ll begin the lower with the upper. My mind is still in its 30s, and I don’t slow down, except chronic severe pain is a challenge. Again, you always inspire me to higher heights! Thank you so much!
Thank you for an informative and healing video. I’m a big advocate for stretching exercises, They make all the difference and can get you started on your exercise routine. They make you want to do more.😊
You are sooo awesome! You are strong, fit and beautifully thin! Your “mind over matter” philosophy is inspirational! I learn so much from you. I hope to help build a cabin on day, too.
I just turned 46 and it has become so clear how much I need exercise to keep my life moving during this time of life. I started back at the gym and it feels so good. I’m a single lady and want to be self sufficient into my old age and need to be strong for that! Oh man and the sleep too! Yikes. I’m in perimenopause and struggling with sleep. Everything wakes me up at night. I love that you’re talking about all this! I’d love to join the breathing community too. 😂 We need more good positive content like this for women our age! Thank you 😊 ❤
It ain't over til it's over and most importantly.. it's never too late. We are incredible - our bodies are incredible and strong, resilient. The transformation comes from within first, in our heart and minds, then the rest follows. I can't wait to see you build your cabin. If anyone can do it, it's you!
You inspire me. I am in my 60’s and really let myself go. No exercise, over weight, drinking Diet Coke all day & smoking. Since I watched this video I started drinking water, 64oz a day. Started using an elliptical everyday for an hour. Have not been able to quit smoking but I have cut the amount in half. Also trying to eat better. And I have scheduled Dr appointments, first time in forever. I have a ways to go but at least I am making an effort & I just wanted to thank you for your inspiration. I always enjoy your videos & admire you & your accomplishments. Thank you!
I'm 61, hubby 69. Neither of us in shape but we are going to build a single story 1200 sq ft home. Some stuff will be contracted out but lots of heavy work we will be doing on our own. Thanks to your husband for the safety tips on chainsaw use. We have been clearing, cutting down trees.....always safety first:) Love the content! Thanks PS. I have two new knees...almost a year out..but getting stronger everyday
You are one of my top inspirations. I'm always amazed by your endurance and strength. Love that your dogs are living their best lives along side of you. Beautiful.
I love the little cabin you are in now. It is good to see you there. I just turned77 this Christmas Eve. The 24th. I have you beat on age. Love seeing you and Dave's adventures spirt. Can't wait to see you building your cabin in Alaska. Suzzette Bridges!❤🎉😊
Way to go, Brooke! Keep rocking it!! We love Shawn Stevenson and have his cookbook too. Love hearing your journey, and am excited for you to complete your cabin build at 52.
Most people DRASTICALLY underestimate what their body is capable of... For those that have modest goals or have never exercised before, all the things you've said and do are spot on...nutrition, exercise, rest and recovery... GL, I'm hitting the subscribe right now...
Thanks for your inspiration. I am 58 and have been welding for 40 years! That sounds so crazy but true. I have always been strong but over the last few years definetley feeling muscle loss so your words are the kick in the butt i needed
These comments are so inspiring!! I had to jump on here! I appreciate the sharing of vulnerable times in everyone's life. I have been on a healing journey for the past 15 years for PTSD. I'm a childhood abuse Survivor and later a Survivor of domestic violence these had their own set of challenges for healing and then Lyme entered my life. I've been learning all I can about various healing modalities and grounding is one of them! I hope to get in the swing of exercising soon. I'm healing from a Hysterectomy and have about 4 more weeks until I can really start moving and grooving. Thank you for the inspiration!
As I recall the Amish and my time last century building timber frame homes, we do it best as a tribe. Do it with friends and neighbors mostly if possible. I groups some see issues and can attend to any injuries on the job. Be careful.
Hi Brooke. I am turning 62 this year. For the past 5 years I've been dancing at least 2 times a week for my favorite songs on my TV show. I live in New York too and I go outside to dance. Definitely is great ❤🎉😂😊
I hear ya!! I sometimes feel like I’m losing a step here and there!! I try to stay strong and lifting and moving patients does help. I’m not a very big person…probably 5’5” or so and around 120 and will be 65 in April. My patients look at me like, yea right, you’re going to move me. But I truly feel like moving them helps me stay strong. The cold stuff, it’s a challenge for me, I don’t like being cold. I could try it and see. I need to work on my core. You’re an inspiration and I love your videos!! ❤from NC
Your new journey sounds very much like my 2024 journey. Eating right and working out. Haven't been to the gym for over a year and I feel and see a big difference in my muscles and mobility. Thanks for sharing your personal health issues, books reviews and health advocates. I have followed Joan and she is an inspiration. Turning 70 in a few weeks. 2024 is my year to get on the right track. YOUR VIDEO INSPIRED ME. I look forward to see all that you do in 2024. Thank you.
Good for you, Brooke! Stay the course and you will manage. Getting old is not something fun to face, but I do what I can without injuring my body. Taking it slow and being careful is important. We're not machines, so the body takes longer to heal.
When I was 55 I was overweight and out of shape. I joined a gym and ate healthier. In the spring of 2020 I was looking and feeling good and then the world shut down. I am now 59 and back to where I was. This spring I plan on joining the gym again and Lord willing, get back to where I was before. I find I don’t have the motivation to work out at home on my own. Thanks for the video.
Hi Brooke, as far as fruit goes they can vary hugely on the 'glycaemic load' index. Berries are 'low glycaemic load' but full of antioxidants and phytonutrients. I think it's safe to keep them in your diet. Best of luck with your projects. ❤
Brooke, I can't tell you how happy this video made me. I'm so glad you got your blood finally checked. As we age so does our bodies and and even though people think they are eating healthy, their are actually not. I'm 57 and about 6 years ago I took control of my life and body and made drastic changes. I started to cut down on my carbs and eliminated processed foods by 80% and try to keep 70% organic. I had so much inflammation and had an unexplainable autoimmune condition which is no longer the case now. I had to get cortisone injections in both knees several times a year just so I could keep walking. My last injections were 2 years ago and I haven't had any since. My inflammation and pain are minimum now due to detoxing my body of heavy metals, CeeBeeDee oil every single day (yes, I am censoring the actual abbreviations) I take organic tart cherry powder, Tumeric and other supplements that are amazing. I have very little synovial fluid left in my knees and all these extra things are keeping me walking and active. I love that you looked into Earthing. There is a great documentary of same name that is amazing. That will be the next thing I work on is grounding. I moved to Florida from WA state almost 2 years ago and walking on the sand and finally feeling the earth on my feet again is so healing. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your videos and all your knowledge. Your videos kept me going thru lockdowns a few years ago. Another reason why I moved to Florida. Lol. Take care and hopefully you will take us along on your health journey and keep us all updated. God bless you. PS. I cant wait for the cabin build.
I'm 82 years old and have since my youth had a strong focus on complete fittness. I consequently have long followed healthy eating, with emphasis on a "Macrobiotic" approach. I still workout with iso-metric exercises everyday but Sunday, and have my own weight equipment that I do weight work two or three times a week. In addition I ride my bicycle two or more often three times a week varying rides between as few as 5 or 6 miles,to as much as I 2 to 15 miles . I have blood panels done semi-annualy and my doctor says I'm the first patient he's had in 35 years of practice that he believes will live to one hundred years. Of course I pray he's right because I Love life! AND hunting and fishing has filled the space I have now that I'm retired from my work life. I have three sons 50,47 & 44 years, and thier wives and grandchildren to enjoy life with. You'll never regret your focus on health and fittness ,body & soul. All the best to you !
Brooke, I’m 71, I understand many would enjoy this video. Please stress the issue of your age and over all health issues that would be connected with your doctor.
In listening, you mentioned joint pain. About ten years ago, I did a Food Sensitivity test through a LEAP Program. My joint pain which was extreme was due to excessive eating of tomatoes in my daily diet. They come from the nightshade family which is high in alkaloids. These deposit in the joints causing inflammation like arthritis. I've since eliminated tomatoes from my diet and am joint pain free. I, too do some wood cutting.
This video is so inspiring... I'm a 45 year old woman and just purchased a lovely plot of land in Vermont that I hope to build on with resources from the land. Seeing your fitness tips and suggestions really has me excited about upping my fitness game so I can do this. I consider myself pretty fit, but as I get older, I don't want this to wane. I downloaded the 2 audiobooks you suggested and so far, they are really helpful. Dr Lyon's protocol is totally approachable and makes a lot of sense. Thanks so much for the recommendations and for everything that you do. Keep doing what you are doing!
I was lucky to live near Anne Labastille, the Woodswoman, growing up. I remember her and her 2 HUGE German Shepherds, her quiet personality and her toughness. I am going to be 50 this year and I am taking her, yours and all the "pioneers" out there, the resilience and mind over matter attitudes with me into this next phase in my life. Thank you!
As a 52 year old man, you definitely have my respect. you are an inspiration to men and women.just because we are getting older don't mean we shouldn't still be pushing ourselves.
Yes, staying active as we age is key to better quality of life. Good to see you found better food choices. Grounding is so beneficial. Will have to look up a bed mat. Being a women comes with many body changes that can be a bit challenging, glad your sharing how you are adapting and making change. You're a wonderful inspiration to many. Can't wait to see the log cabin build
You’re definitely on the right track. I used to be super healthy (about 40 yo now), then got married 5 years ago and let myself go. Then due to health reasons I had to change my lifestyle back to where I was before marriage, but actually much more knowledgeable now than I was before. A lot of the things you pointed out about sugars, carbs and proteins are all things I have been learning… And for me, it’s especially challenging because I follow a plant based lifestyle and workout 2 hours a day, 6 days a week. I’m not sure if you’re familiar with parasite cleanses, however, if you’re not, I’d highly recommend doing them. You also mentioned you have tendinitis, as did I in my left elbow. I was also dealing with carpal tunnel in my left hand… I’ve been able to treat both with zero pain now using castor oil…. I’ve been learning A LOT about castor oil and its uses these paste few months and it’s remarkable what you can do with it. You’re truly an inspiration and I am blessed I stumbled across your channel. Peace and blessings be upon you!
I have wanted to build a small cabin in the woods for years and have always been thwarted. I've watched your own and your husband's videos and taken notes. I've watched hours of others' videos and collected ideas. Finally I have said Enough! It's going to happen! We need to thin a White Pine and Spruce plantation on our property so my logs will come from that. So I'll be a year behind your build- your videos of the build can further inspire me! Can be max. 160 sq ft without a permit here in Ontario Canada. So compact-just all I need. Here's to moving forward to make dreams happen. PS- I'm 61 (live on a farm so always active)
I am soon to be 58 suffering through menopause, and I survived a stroke almost 6 years ago. My body feels like it is falling apart. Stroke wise I am doing ok - I walk fine, but my left arm and hand are weak. I have been wanting to increase my physical activity, but have been lazy about it. After my stroke I realized life is short, we are not guaranteed tomorrow, so I decided to live well - enjoy wine and good food if I wanted it. Today I had my annual physical and it was eye opening, so now it seems I can either live well or live longer. Watching this video today was perfectly timed. I appreciate the inspiration!
Thank you for saying you're not too old, I taught myself (I'm in my late 60's) how to freestyle, I was tired of not knowing how. I knew swimming is an all body workout and I have problems lifting weights, water is the best for me. I have set goals to go a little longer and I have hopes this year to make it an hour in the pool with more laps. I learned in PT about stretching because of my sciatic nerve and other issues, stretching is amazing. I believe my eating is the next thing to tackle and it is the hardest for me. I'm still working on conquering that mountain. Thanks for your pep talk and showing us your new normal.
I'm 66 going on 67 this year and my daughter and I spend a lot of time outdoors with nature. And yes inside I feel like a teen But I keep busy outdoors and that keeps me young
You are amazing and inspiring. I find that the biggest problem is the bio engineered foods (Gmos) bleached flour, sugar, (mostly high futose corn syrup). I eliminate all but some sugar, and my blood work is perfect at 65. I also eliminated fast foods, table salt, and sodas at least 20 years ago. I use grass fed butters and olive oil, as well as sea, Himalayan, and red salts, only, never table salt. Very wise, eliminating processed foods and using good fats is important for better health. Love love love bison! My favorite meat! Everything you are doing is wonderful. Gounding and proper breathing is amazing! Big hugs! 💖

I’m 70 now and I do what I want!
i frickin love it!
@@therealgirlinthewoods thanks Brooke!
I pray that I'm close to being able to do what you are when I'm 70. I always have lots of plans. Hopefully they'll come to pass!
fantastic!
@@therealgirlinthewoods you need a man to help you and live with you in Alaska. He will also protect you from the Bear monsters 🐻
I’m your age. Eating enough protein is so hard. I can’t have milk protein and I never reach my protein goal.
Never give up!👍
I've never seen anyone work as hard as you! Such strength!!! You always amaze me.
God's blessings on all your endeavors and thanks for your encouragement and inspiration.
good on ya!
It's not 60 years old ,it's triple 20's we will forever be 20 😊😊
Awesome!
You cutting and peeling all the logs was incredibly inspiring!
Thank you!

I Always Think of that! Keeps me moving @ 72! I can’t believe I’m that number. I was so busy, I don’t have time to grow up!
It is what this 71-year-old needed to jumpstart his summer.
that's awesome
I'm 69 and starting to train for my 3rd attempt at the Appalachian Trail. Injuries have taken me out twice before. I figured out I didn't do enough strength training and stretching. Adding that in this year. Watched you for many years now, Brooke. You and Dave never cease to inspire me.
Better not go that trail alone, and be careful, it's really tough... and a lot goes on that most people do not even know about.
Thanks for letting us see Masie Daisy, she looks so good!!
she's doing great
I’m 64 and have a couple of issues (bone spurs in my spine & osteoarthritis in my 1 knee) that will make things tough for me, but I’m going for it.
Thank you for the inspiration, I’m gonna keep going!!!!
love it- have fun!

Brooke you are one hell of a woman and such an inspiration . You have taught me so many life skills to survive.
Subbed all your channels ❤
P. S. Look into 50-100mg of B6 for a few months for your tennis elbow/carpal tunnel.

Thank you so much!! What a wonderful comment.
How can you NOT be in great shape, as hard as you work???
Brooke, I really needed this today. I lost my son about a year and a half ago and since then I've felt like 'what's the use?'. I've given up on my health almost completely. I know I need to take charge again, but it seems like it's hopeless. You've given me a "glint" that all is not lost. Now, if I could just MAKE myself do something about it. Thank you for this video. Blessings to you.
so so sorry take care my friend!
I needed this! Since I lost my husband 7 years ago I have stop exercising and girl do I feel it!! I'll be 52 in less than a month and I really want to start exercising again and feel better so thank you for this inspiration!

I have always been in really good shape (I'm 54) and a few years ago my back just started aching whenever I bent to work or lifted anything heavy. That's super upsetting to deal with, arthritis. Super happy to watch your work here, thanks for sharing your stories.

Good for you, Brooke! Stay the course and you will manage. Getting old is not something fun to face, but I do what I can without injuring my body. Taking it slow and being careful is important. We're not machines, so the body takes longer to heal.
This is great! Best of luck!

Absolutely.
Hi Brooke, as far as fruit goes they can vary hugely on the 'glycaemic load' index. Berries are 'low glycaemic load' but full of antioxidants and phytonutrients. I think it's safe to keep them in your diet. Best of luck with your projects. ❤
Nothing wrong with fruit, it’s all about portion control. A serving of fruit is one cup, not a huge bowl full.
Can't wait to see it!
Wait! You're 52? I thought you guys were in your '30s. At the most 41 or 42. My god. Good genes!
you josh... but thanks!
What great spirit you’re showing! Good for you, but be careful. Don’t get hurt.
love you brooke but being cold doesn't make a person stronger and plunging in cold water can be fatal (cardiac arrest).
PS. I cant wait for the cabin build.
as an avid outdoor athelete im not sure about this ..maybe a cold plunge but this looks sketchy or is it click bait??
Seriously.
Brooke, I’m 71, I understand many would enjoy this video. Please stress the issue of your age and over all health issues that would be connected with your doctor.
Couple more years you'll have Arthritis so bad you gonna need help to walk.😅😂🤣
In listening, you mentioned joint pain. About ten years ago, I did a Food Sensitivity test through a LEAP Program. My joint pain which was extreme was due to excessive eating of tomatoes in my daily diet. They come from the nightshade family which is high in alkaloids. These deposit in the joints causing inflammation like arthritis. I've since eliminated tomatoes from my diet and am joint pain free. I, too do some wood cutting.
Should be spending time with your husband life's short.
Very cool, women can do anything they put their minds to .. keep up the great work!!
this is very FAKE
Good job on changing your health Brooke if you have your health you have everything

Very interesting. Would love more videos like this. Thanks!
Oh my gosh, how exciting, looking forward 😍
Good luck girl! I'm with you!
Looking forward to your classes

Big hugs! 💖
