I love this city so much. I love the way they speak, the history, the blend of nationalities, the music, the food- like he said; the air. I'm so obsessed with slave history & the stories told around the era.
Loving this one thanks for sharing very information blessed love to all knowledge is power hopefully everyone pays attention keep up the good work 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
The one thing all RUclips travelers overlook. As well as visitors generally. Is how incredibly Italian New Orleans is. And the history of New Orleans is very very Italian. In the last 50 years it's been French washed though. Even the parts that aren't.
I just got back from New Orleans a week ago. I've been there several times and right now the town is quite sad. It's still feeling the effects of Katrina and more recently hurricane Ida. Covid-19 has recently took a toll on the town. You have to show proof of vaccination to enter pretty much any business.
The crime rate is horrible. Especially for tourists. Recently a woman was raped in broad daylight on Royal st. Witness's called 911. It took over 2 hours for police to respond. It's a real shame what has happened to this once great city. Murders everyday. Carjackings, etc. I used to provide day trips to New Orleans from the Mississippi gulf coast. Not anymore. The French Quarter smells like human urine. The streets are in major disrepair. Complete neighborhoods are abandoned and overgrown. Trash everywhere. By all means visit New Orleans. Then you'll understand. Check out the crime rate online. Very dangerous city.
This lady talks about these people from New York coming and us as police having to clean them out. They leave trash and graffiti all over everything. She also calls the Quarter "overheated" lady, its a war zone! Rest in peace Linda Frickey.
Don’t be sad!!!! Rejoice, because you can always return! BTW, I think I might shoot a follow up episode there this year. Shhhh! Don’t tell anyone, that is not public info!

Amen. Went to Bourbon Street. Fat Tuesday. Midnight. Damn. Never again!
Except for Galatoire’s Creole Restaurant. Quintessential New Orleans experience. Don’t miss it.

Thanks for the insight! On a related note…I love the Mississippi gulf coast.
Algiers is the oldest section of NO. The French camped out there while they built the Vieux Carre across the river.

New orleans I love it. But why would I go go to Vietnamese New Orleans when I literally live in Vietnamese California 😆
Right? I agree…but the chefs always have an opinion about these things!
Cafe Beignet is better than Cafe du Monde.
I’m coming back in a couple of weeks so I shall rest your assertion!
