F1 has 1 lug nugget and has at least 1 crew member doing something with the car
F1 has more than like 10 people working on a single car, 1 lugnut per wheel. NASCAR takes more skill and is about 10x more satisfactory.

Despite turning left, you have to deal with the incredible heat, and gforce, there’s about 2-4 gs on your neck so it’s a hell of a ride. Drivers lose about 5-10 pounds of sweat due to the amount heat, Formula One and Indycar? Winds blowing in your face what heat is there to deal with? It’s so sad how all people think NASCAR is just turning left on an oval.

I like watching F1 and NASCAR pit stops. I like the speed of F1 because of the one lug nut, but NASCAR is more impressive to me considering they have to do 5 lugs per wheel

The last season of traditional pit stops before they went to the one lug nut tires. Nascar was the only company that uses normal wheels and now it’s no different than everywhere else

In 2013 The 42 team (Montoya in the car) Was the fastest team on the pit stops all the year, They set times up to 11 seconds

@@kayak8700 the sports are completely different in terms of what they stand for and how they work, the average f1 pit crew has 21 people, and they also have different compound tires to add for strategy, their races are also only 50-80 ish laps some more some less and as such their pitstops need to be faster to gain a competitive advantage and to necessitate them. F1 races are about 1-3 hours, it's all about speed, all about cornering, all about the aero. Nascar like the other commenter said is an endurance sport, people say it's round and round, but it's action packed wheel to wheel racing and they are in a pack. But since races like the daytona 500 are so long the pitstops can't be 2 seconds long like in f1 or else there's no risk. They also don't do hard uncambered cornering like in f1 which necessitates higher tire wear and in turn faster pitstops. But in both sports the pit stop timing is crucial to the win.

Why does NASCAR not have all four tires changed at once like they do with F1? It still couldn’t be done in less than 2-3 seconds but definitely would be done in less than 10.... is it a safety thing?
Might be for the same reason they have one guy running around the car with a floor jack, keeping the pit stop as a factor in the race and keep it interesting to watch. It seems Nascar like to have pit and driver tactics and endurance determine the races more than technology.

Considering the amount of lug nuts and the limited number of crew for NASCAR pitstop, its considered fast. Unlike F1 that has one lug nut and three people per wheel, NASCAR has 5 lug nut per wheel and 4 people for 4 wheels. Rumor has that NASCAR will use one lug nut per wheel in the near 2021 season, so let's just see if it improves their performance.
