They didn’t sell as much and then when they reduced to $359, they sold more. This is more the reason that they priced at $329 as the “sweet spot entry pricing.” It’s essentially a repackaged A2 with better thermals. If you don’t do underwater sports, A2 owners don’t need to upgrade. If DJI gives A3 10-bit, they better give A2 owners the upgrade too as they paid more. Or have some pissed off customers. FYI, as an existing subscriber of GP, they allow you to buy it at $399 without cancelling the sub and rebuying it. Finally as their customers were doing it anyways. This way it removes the hassle for both sides. Back to pricing, it depends on the below: - 8 vs 10-bit? How much is that worth - better DR? How much is that worth - 360 horizon lock in all modes except 4k120, 2.7k240, 1080 120/240 but only on linear lens mode. You're absolutely correct! You can't go wrong with either of them. At the end of the day, I think price, reliability, and user preference are the key factors.
Just putting them both through their paces and GP11 is definitely winning on most fronts. Night MTB is level pegging in both brightness & smoothness but daytime goes to GP. I think value for money and for most people Osmo wins but overall features & modes is a GP win
Well said. If you want the BEST in specs and image quality, GoPro is the way to go. Especially in capable hands, the GoPro is a powerful tool for filmmaking. If you want a comfortable budget experience and don't have to worry about reliability too much, I think the Osmo wins there.
@@ActionXander Isn't the Osmo more reliable though? Tests' I've seen show the Gopro is still shutting down when it gets hot. The Osmo carries on recording, it just gives you a warning. There's also the weird screen blanking i.e. when using your phone and gopro app to control the camera, you get a blank screen on the phone whilst recording, so you can't use it for reframing or checking the image. Odd as older GoPros never did that. The GoPro video is more detailed though, so it's all swings and roundabouts. The DJI just seems to do less to piss off it's users. I think you are right though, the GoPro in the right hands, wins.
@@defylifeadventure GoPro seems to always have a long history of shutting down on us so I wouldn't be surprised if the 11 continues that trend. Is it superior tech and spec wise? Yes. But my personal philosophy? The best ability is availability!

Why would anyone buy this at 550 when you can get it at 400, with a free card, straight from their webpage? I don’t understand why people keep saying it starts at 550. It doesn’t. A used 10 will cost you like 300+…
It starts at $400 if you have the GoPro subscribers subscription. I've mentioned that in the video (I have the subscription). The subscription also costs $50/yr so if you're a first time subscriber and you want the GoPro 11 you'd essentially be forking over $450 unless you cancel that subscription before the year is up. Also, it's nice to get a free SD card but 32gb only gets you about 48min worth of recording at 4k 60fps 🙃
@@ActionXander i got mine for 399.98 total, out the door. It was discounted to 350 plus the free card (which I can definitely use on my drone remote or something), and then another 50 for the sub. In any case, I think it’s inaccurate to say that it starts at 550.

Yeah that's a bit of a bummer
the dji cant do the same tmie lapse that go pro can??
You can shoot time-lapses but I didn't see anything similar to GoPro's Night Effects lapse modes. I'm sure in capable hands you could pull off something similar.
Since the human eye.can only distinguish about 3 million colors, either action camera would be very.good indeed!
Thanks for the comparison! Question though.. why can you pronounce Selfie Stick correctly but not InvisiStick? Haha. That did my nut in! I get it's a made up word by DJI but still.. INVISI-STICK!
I'm still torn btw on what to get.. I wonder if DJI deserves my brand loyalty since I just got a Mini 3 Pro
I can't believe I made that mistake! I did place a quick write-in correction but still 🤣 I totally dropped the ball on that one! I absolutely loved the Osmo Action 1 and I use my Air 2S for everything! So I totally get where you're coming from. I did possibly maybe order one and look forward to testing it out here 😁🐊
Why would anyone buy this at 550 when you can get it at 400, with a free card, straight from their webpage?
