Glad you like them Rikke! You may enjoy this one too - some comparison but a lot more experimentation on mixing your own ❤️ How to mix your own super granulating watercolours ruclips.net/video/q4N1EbTH-mI/видео.html
More great content. In the last couple of years I've gone from wholey Winsor and Newton to many of these other top brands. I've only recently even HEARD of Roman Szmal paints, but I'm getting really interested in giving them a try. You'll be a big help in deciding on what to try I initially. THANK you.
Loved these swatches, but my favs were RS shadow violet, Ocean Blue, and DS Rose of Ultramarine. I don’t have that last one in my possession…strange. Thanks for sharing!
I was pretty happy to see this comparison, since I'm literally shopping and trying to choose between these three brands right now! Haha. I already had the Roman Szmal mineral violet, which is just lovely, honestly. It seems like a solid brand. I got a few colours from them when I first started building my palette up, and the ones I have are nice.
Mineral Violet because it cascades into some pretty colours. Now I need to fill up my Roman palette with Trans Turquoise and Cobalt Blue. I’ll put them in my cart for now. Thanks for the comparison, I have most of the Daniel Smith you mentioned. Keep creating 💙💜💛
I'm very interested in this video so thank you for sharing it! I have only just started using granulating colours. My first two I have tried are lunar violet by DS and Galaxy Pink Schmincke. The lunar violet is just delicious! It's been my fav colour for using in my last few tutorials! It's also a fab colour for mixing with other colours (non granulating) to make them granulate! My recent mixes I found that are so nice are lunar violet with pthalo blue and lunar violet with lemon yellow (oooossh)
Is the swatch labeled “RS cobalt blue PG50” actually cobalt teal PG50? Their cobalt blue is PB28, which doesn’t appear to have those tender teal tendencies per their color chart. Thank you for this comparison of so many lovely colors! Awesome timing, too...I was just about to complete an order from this weekend & can now sneak in another color or two. 😄
@@SketchesnScrubs No worries! All the teal and turquoise names across pigments & brands make me cross-eyed. I watch those videos twice: once to purely enjoy the colors & once to reference my notes. I'm ordering cobalt sea blue & aquarius grey. My first RS paints! Your transparent turquoise swatch is stunning, but I don't know where I would use it & don't want to assume it will mix well with others. Thank you again for the excellent comparisons!
Such lovely colors, thanks for the comparison! I’m very fond of the full pan size by Roman Szmal. Good value for money and cuts out the extra step of squeezing the tubes. I sound soooo lazy lol.
I do swatch, its one of my favorite things to do. :). I set up my own watercolor palette also. Just got some new paints and came here to figure out how best to put them in the palette. 😻 ❤️✝️❤️✝️❤️
I love the shadow violet, mineral violet and the indigo. I may have to try the roman szmal watercolours. Thanks for the share. Have you reviewed the QOR watercolours? I just got some and love how they bully each other and the other brands.
Random question but I'm watching this video for my second time because I love it and I know you are the Roman schmalls Queen do you have any idea if they discontinued miss me morning? But not only has it been sold out on Jackson for a long time it's also sold out on other websites that sell it. When do we speak to text so hopefully it's spelled the brand's name correct lol
Oh, yes! As you pulled out your card I remembered, when I asked for the *green comparisons, I probably meant Green apatite and that Schmincke`s Forest brown! Thank you for swatching and comparing these colours for us, most appreciated!! ))
I just bought ShinHan's Shadow Green after watching a video on Paint in Hiding. It is gorgeous & has incredible granulation. Very reasonably priced at Jackson's. They also have a plain Umber-its' granulation knocked my socks off. Why I'm waiting for the next Jackson's sale.
Dear Sketches n Scrubs, Misty Morning by Roman Szmal, will be bought again, as I am using it too fast. I have 4 free spots in my tin. It is memorable, separates, interesting, wonderful, unique, and I don't think it can be replicated by just mixing the pigments. Love it. Why don't you have my favourite Aquarius colour? Lol In kindred spirit, Eliza Australia 27th June 2022 10:58pm
@@SketchesnScrubs Thanks 😊. Yes I have just ordered some Strathmore tan, gray/grey, & blue toned papers to try and a new Princeton 3/8 inch Filbert Grainer brush, after vacationing with my youngest daughter.
The mineral violet is my favorite but I also really like rose of ultramarine. I liked the Roman small and Daniel Smith better to the schmicke but Daniel Smith is easier to find for me.
I fell out of love with rose of ultramarine pretty quickly, it’s just not a colour I use that often. I like the hue, but it’s usually for shadows, where I don’t want it to granulate. On the other hand, my immortal love, Perylene green, has graced this video. It’s such a good colour. It’ll always have a permanent spot in my main palette. Though perylene green deep (PBk32) isn’t nice, sadly. Too gummy, lifts too easily.
I don’t recall watching this two years ago but my comment reveals that I did. 😊
Shadow Violet by RS is my favorite!
Thank you!!! Love these comparing watercolor videos🎉❤😅

Super impressed with the RS pigments. Such a great video, and I'm loving seeing how many lovely colors you have now!! 🤗🤗❤️❤️🤗🤗
Really cool to see these colors swatched together. I have zero Roman Szmal, but I'm intrigued - especially with that lovely 'Mineral Violet'.
O interesting…but I was totally distracted by your gorgeous nail polish …perfection! ;)
Excellent! I have a ton of Schmincke but no Roman, can’t wait for the swatching!! (Granulating swatches are magic!) 🖌🖼

I would say Mineral Violet. Thanks for the fun video.
So amazing colours ❤
Thank you for watching Emma x
Just seeing all these swatches together is so beautiful 😍 I am especially in love with the rose of ultramarine!
Yummy!!! Roman Szmal Transparent Turquoise is a fav; but I would like to have them all. Thanks for giving us a looky :)
That rose of ultramarine is just gorgeous! 💗
I love that color so much, too! When the blue pops out 🤩
Excellent comparisons!
You are so pretty!! Your accent is charming as well!!
I loved this comparison! Thanks a lot
My favourite colour was Roman Szmal mineral violet it's on my wish list at Jackson's. Loved the video

my favourite type of videos when it's not a haul 😂 like you i also prefer the roman szmal pg50!
I just had to order a pan of that mineral violet! So beautiful! 💜
Pick a favorite? Impossible, lol! They're all really lovely.
Oooh, I am so in love with Cascade Green by DS... 😍
the cascade green !! i need to buy rose of ultramarine too, it looks so nice next to mineral violet

Hey! I am beyond flattered lol, as far as I know - Misty morning has not been discontinued, and in fact, is on sale at the moment: bit.ly/3MZPwyA

that roman small mineral violet is so pretty!

I like Roman Szmal it has better and stronger pigments, good granulation too. I like your video, that way we can tell wish is better. Thank you !!!
Definitely the shadow violet, which I also own 🙂 I may have a slight problem as I have 55 roman szmal watercolours now 😂🤦♀️
Sadly the brushes are unavailable! They looked fab tho. Xx
I think that my favorite color out of the swatches is Lunar Blue.

For once i have to pick a colour that's not blue! Just because the mineral violet is a very beautiful colour 😄
