MODS are best type of racing. Faster than any cup car with bigger tires around any short track. Power to weight and grip. ratio. i love watching them at concord speedway
Keep in mind these are NOT stock cars like ARCA or the rest of nascar. There is a tremendous amount of throttle response which, while making the cars fast also makes them very twitchy and on edge. They do tend to run more in packs which often translates to multiple cars in incidents. Several cup drivers have had the chance to drive a modified and have stated they are much more challenging to drive, much more reactive and dynamic.
Not went I went to NHMS this July. I think that the front straight was well over half full. Not too bad, especially for Loudon. To right of me was about a good 10 Doug Coby fans, and to the left, about a dozen or so non-Coby fans/Ryan Pierce fans, who were in a battle for the lead most of the time. So when Coby spun, you heard disappointment form my right, and joy from my left. Pretty interesting lol.
Not empty when they go to short tracks like Stafford speedway, Thompson speedway in CT also south Boston, monadnock , jennerstown mostly short tracks it get sold out i usually buy tickets ahead of time .last year new Hampshire was pretty packed
I just found out about this series yesterday because I drove past the I 25 Speedway and on the sign it had the NASCAR Whelen logo. I definitely have to go to one of these.
Right next to the gas pedal is another pedal called the brake pedal. It's use is to apply the brakes, slowing and then stopping the forward motion of the veichle. USE THE DAMN THING ;-;
Surprised you didn't include the start of the fall 2008 Loudon Race, where they had to delay the race for about 20 min because everyone wrecked at the start
I remember one race I went to at wall stadium these cars where thier and they got into a large pile up on the front straight and the wall was damaged, also one driver was pissed at one of the officials and tapped the gas when the guy infront of the car
Nascar needs to do the Speedwell at daytona again with legends modifieds latemodels k&n series and add a few more classes though like pro trucks street stocks pure stocks and outlaw stocks or known as super stocks and a southerodofied like the mosifieds of mayhem tour not the nascar mods and asphalt sprint cars as well on same lay out would be awsome shows
Wrong! Totally wrong. If anyone knows about annoucing Modifieds, its Mike Joy. He did ur for decades when the Mods were badass. And is one of the best auto racing announcers ever.

As a crewmember on a Tour Modified Team from 1985 thru 2000 I saw 5 men whom I knew and respected Die in Tour accidents and countless cars destroyed. I also spent a number of sleepless nights rebuilding race cars destroyed on Saturday so that they could be run again Sunday. Fans have No Idea what Modified racing is all about. It is not about MONEY. The fact is only the top 5 finishers even Break Even on any given weekend. All others operate at a financial loss But ALL Do It for the fun and friendship involve so WRECKING IS HATED BY ALL INVOLVED. For these reasons, I Can NOT Loke the post. Considering that these guys tend to crash in massive packs, I'm surprised that the series as a whole isn't more promoted.

the modifided come to a local track near me so i see them in person you should check if there is a home track they run a near you

they pass each other more times in 5 laps at louden nh than the cup cars do 4 an entire 300 lap race.way more exciting imo.
let's face it: none of these crashes would have been big one's if the cup cars we're involved.
