I’ve always been a fan of the track “To The Moon and Back,” and I decided to record a cover of it. That’s when I envisioned combining my Metahuman character with futuristic-style animation, resulting in this project.
Additionally, a straightforward storyline emerged: My character, a detective, investigates a suicide after escaping an illegal augmentation facility. During the investigation, the detective encounters another character with Superspeed augmentations.
This music video was created for fun and as a learning process using Unreal Engine 5.3 and more recently 5.4. It features a Cyberpunk theme, utilizing assets from leartesstudios... and custom-made assets I created myself using Max, Blender, and Unreal Engine.
Using the Metahuman Live link app for Apple, I recorded the vocals. Then, leveraging my pre-made MetaHuman with custom textures by James Busby at Ten24, I brought the scenes to life. What started as a simple vocal scene evolved into the final product you see here.
I also dressed the Metahumans with metatailor @METATAILOR which is an awesome app for easily dressing your meta humans.
