Thank you for this video. It was very well done. I have used kinesiotape for lymphedema and it worked very well for my patients who needed this option.
I want to thank you for all your informative vieos. They are a great help.Since lymphedema was not spoken about much it took me 2-3 years to convince my doctor that is what is wrong with me. She had no clue. I have used the tape in the past for a torn tendon and it worked well. For my lymphedema I had wondered prior to watching your video if it would work. My question is this. Can you lieave the tape on while using the pump on the legs? I have the pump and boots for both legs. Also my skin is bumpy from the lymphedema, so should I use it on that area of my legs?I have to ask you since I am with a new dr and have to wait for a new authorization to see my therpist.
Hi Kelly. I love your video. I'm a RMT in Canada with Dr. Vodder training as well as undergoing manual osteopathic training. I was wondering if I could use your video to educate the public about complementary cancer care at a conference in Toronto?
I will give this a try, the swelling in my legs has gone down by 90 %, it's been 3.5 years since 3 strokes hit me within 72 hours. I have a lot of dead surface epidermis ( hope I spelled that correct ) that flakes off. I use Aloe Oil on my lower legs and on top of all that's happened I also have a bad big toe that is bent and hard to get to since I'm in a wheelchair and can't walk, but I'm alive and on the mend, have great movement in arm's and leg's and a super attitude, I'm 83.
This is very informative for me. I have lymphedema from lymph node removal due to cancer in my right arm and now spreading to my left arm. How do I apply the tape where it can remove congestion in both under arms? Where do I put it from under arms to groin area? Do I still use it on both arms like shown here and then under arm also? Thank you for your help I truly appreciate it!
@@ARKUENE Hi! I didn't find a taping video for swollen fingers, but this lady has a simple lymphatic drainage video on her channel where she takes you through how to do the fingers - I found that very helpful.
@@ARKUENE I believe that there are compression garments for the hands and fingers. Check vendors that sell compression garments - there are a number of them on the 'net or if you have a therapist, ask for source.
Very helpful, thanks. If you can do a kinesio tape video for the head and neck in the future, that would be useful. For the back, and inguinal area, maybe a mannequin would be a modest way to demo tape those. I’m having edema challenges everywhere.
Dusty Feller hello! Thank you for the feedback. Yes, of course I can do that. I was thinking about it but hearing you’d find it helpful solidifies my answer. I appreciate you reaching out!
Thank you very much for the video! My therapist will be on holiday for a while so I'm trying to put the tape on by myself. I was wondering... Do I have to point the toes while putting the tape on the foot? Wish you a great day :)
Thank you so much for the video. Do you have a video that shows how to apply to the shoulder blade area. i have a very mild lymphedema that is triggered with certain things and years ago, my Pt used the tape and helped tremendously. I just forgot how to apply in terms of the direction. If you already have a video (i searched but couldnt find it). can you please direct me? Thank you
Is it rediculous tothink tou can get lymph fluid to go back down to the groin since lymph always only moves in one direction up to the shoulders? Would it be better to direct them to the lymph in the clavicle area? Are there studies that shoe this works? Getting lymph to go down your body instead of up?
I actually just recorded it this last week! It'll take a little while to edited and upload but it's coming! In the meantime, I would say this is a popular video to help with breast swelling. :) ruclips.net/video/zSXIcxwkc6A/видео.html
My therapist has the anchor piece at the bottom with the strips going upwards as opposed to the anchor higher and the strips going downward like in your video....does it matter?
Thank you for creating this video! I have participated in KT for Lymphedema courses in the past and was taught to always put the target tissue on maximal stretch before applying the tape i.e. flex the wrist before applying KT to the dorsal hand. It creates a ripple effect in the tape when the patient then moves out of the position and serves to gently "massage" the skin and fluid away toward the anchor point. Do you have any recommendation on this? Also, I was taught that you could increase the stretch to 50-75% especially when covering large areas such as the lateral trunk from axillary to inguinal lymph nodes. Do you always use only 10-20% stretch? Finally, I know that different tapes have different amounts of stretch. The course I took used Kinesiotape Gold. With other tapes, i.e. Rock Tape, the stretch is much greater, in which case it would need to be applied with less tension. What tape brand do you recommend using? Thank you for sharing any of your thoughts!

This is great info. Any for breast tissue, legs and abdomen and hips? Thank you 🙏🏽
Thank you so much for the info! I put the tape on this morning and it’s working great! A game changer for sure!
Hello thank you for the video.
May I ask is it contraindicated to put on pressure garment after applying K-taping?
thank you!
Decongestive massage (and can be taught to the patient) before using the tape is AMAZING.

This video is so great! Do you have one for taping the hand for stubborn swollen fingers? Thank you 😊
Hi! Have you found anything for swollen fingers? Couldn't find anything so far.

Kelly, I would love instructions for how to tape the breast itself. Thanks for all your care and excellent information!
I never seen a prettier doctor

It's great information for me. From where do i can have this tape.
thank you for sharing, this was instructive
Would this help following explant surgery to have blood flow go back to the chest?
Can we go for Intermittent Pneumatic Compression Device with the tape on? How long can we keep it in place?
I’m curious … I watched the video regarding the study done by ALERT , do the findings change your application of the tape if at all?
Do you use it for breast cancer lymphedema?
Another great video!

Can you make a video for LIPEDEMA Kinesio taping? Thank you in advance!
Is it overkill to do across the chest, across the back, and up from the groin? Or does it lose some efficacy at some point?
Could you do a lymphatic application for abdominal swelling
Thanks for the video! Do you have one on how to tape a breast for compression/drainage?

Thanks so much!
Kelly, Have you posted the video on how to tape the breast? I couldn’t find it.
Thank you so much for teaching! 😊
Are you able ot put this tape on your feet and then put the compression garments over that or is that forbidden?
Nice Work!! This was very informative. Keep doing a great job!! Thank you so much!!
