      Oh I love this and your willingness to do some searching to try and help your patients as much as you can. You’re so welcome!

      You should not be treating a serious disease when you are “lost”. You should be properly trained and then supervised until you are fully competent. Watching a video should not take the place of proper training.

    Thank you Kelly. I had not seen the wrapping actually done since my lymphedema started, many years ago, and I went through the complete treatment. I loved to see that still remember how to do it!

    Just had my lumpectomy breast surgery 9 days ago and my under arm are swelling. Just right under my arm above my right breast where the surgery was done. My arm was actually fine except the upper arm feel a little bit sensation of fibrosis but very mild. So in my case how should I bandage my swelling under arm? Should I wrap or bandage around my chest and my breast ? I will be much obliged if you could help me out. Thank you in advance.

    Can you wrap the arm without wrapping fingers too? Just wondering how to cook when fingers and arm are wrapped.

      I know the problem. I use plastic gloves on that hand when I am cooking…Typing with a pencil eraser tip…but wrapping is the only way I can keep the edema under some control.

    How can you see if your skin is covered on the back of your hand if you wrapped over the stockinette?? I have never seen anyone wrap over the stockinette on a hand; it is usually folded back, the hand wrapped, then the stockinette pulled down to cover the Elastomull/gauze.

    Do you think the Circaid sleeve with the straps that mimic the wrapping works at least close enough to the real thing that it could similarly work?

    • @lolosdream
      @lolosdream 3 года назад

      Circaids are for maintenance, not for volume reduction

    Can you do a self wrapping video for velcro garment on arm please? I have been shown once how to do it by the therapist who did it, my husband seems to think like all other things I should learn to do myself, but since August I have been canceling rescheduling my appointments. I'm embarrassed because I cannot do it right and usually just end up having a tantrum, crying and just wrap it however tightly. Honestly I feel like they should have just taken the arm off along with the cancerous lymph nodes during my surgery two years ago.

    • @angelawhittaker5276
      @angelawhittaker5276 3 года назад

      To clarify I'm canceling the appointments because they'll know I'm not wearing it because the fluid build up just gets worse each month. I'm embarrassed

      I'm so sorry your going through that but I'm also at that point with mine too. Matter of fact I told my doctor just that same thing just take off the whole arm then I won't need to be so embarrassed from the way my arm looks. It's so hard for us that are having to go through this. God Bless you and I wish you the best.
