I used powerstroke glow plugs in mine. It really helps with starting. Can't recommend it enough. Redpower has info on it. Never failed to start, even in the middle of winter. Use a relay though.
Totally agree with your opening statement we had an IHC 560 WAS ALWAYS HARD TO START DIESEL... ZGLOW PLUGS PULLED WAY TOO MANY AMPS THE BATTERIES WEREN'T AS GOOD AS THEY ARE NOW..
Did the needle on glow plug meter go all the way over to the right? If you have a few glow plugs not working, the gauge will barely move over, depending on number of bad glow plugs. also, a burnt glow plug will mimic a good one on amp draw. F.Y.I.
Honest video guys, those 282 international glow plug motors are pretty damn tough, but u absolute ly must use the glow plug system almost every time even in summer weather, farmers that refuse to follow the proper glow plug starting procedure are fools as I have started my 706 in Canada in February using the 60 second pre heat glow plug, also I plugged the engine block heater in also previously but covered in snow the old girl fired right up
Diesel sound is awesome , I’m curious as to why bush hog the field instead of mowing it for the hay ? But anyway , great tractor , bush hog & video , I have a 1950 Ferguson TO20 , Thankyou for sharing & May God Bless
A lot of people seem to be saying these are the best tractors ever made, which I’m not trying to diss them but I’ve heard the opposite. They never fire right up, also they were kinda known to have rear end and transmission problems. It surprises me they have a turbo on it as well seems like it would tear the tractor up even worse but I suppose only time will tell!
I love bushhogging on the farm I work on at home I bushhog with the first gen 5 foot bushhog with a hydraulic cylinder on it with my farmall 450 narrowfront row crop
If you change the starter out for one off a Melrose Park engine, ie 966-1586 they start way better. That old gas motor starter on those 282s don't spin fast enough.
Curious if you will leave for mulch or square bail it as there has to be what, two hundred bales of grass hay. Its a lot of work to mow, would be nice to get something back and I know that some broke dick rancher with five times more beef than acres of ground to support them could almost be like giving to the hungry farmers thing/deal... I went the three battery way to keep mine starting right.
The Turbo 560 is the best sounding tractor ever made!
You have one of the best tractors made .

I love that sound.
I always wanted a Farmall 560 diesel..I'm still looking for one
TractorHouse has some for sale with some 460 as well
I worked on a farm that had a 560 gas job, that too was a nice work horse as well , yours sounds good with the turbo on it.
I prefer the 450 over the 560
I love those brush Hogs that is a good brand
You have 26k followers!! That's amazin! good job guys!

Why not cut this big field for hay? Enjoyed watching 👍👍
Always thought a turbo kit on a 656 diesel would be a nice setup, with 3 point hitch.
Do you think it would have the hydraulic capacity to lift a 6 row corn planter full of dry fertilizer and 20 gallons of liquid starter on it. ?

Changing it over to two 12v battery help a lot!
Mower maybe not a bushog? :-)
I had a 10-foot Ford Roto cutter and it was nothing but junk

Ill take that 560 over a 706!i hated the 706.
The D282 worked a lot better on the 560 than the 706. A 706 with the D310 is a whole different animal.
My dad has a 706 gasser. never any problems. Would run it in 115* weather at times and never overheated. Calexico, Ca area.
Shit that thing sounds like a bulldozer in a garbage dump.
