I really wished I was running that 560, I talk to so many people that hated scuffling corn but I'm not one of them I loved that job! Spent many hours on a single front wheel John Deere 520 or 165 then later a 265 Massey Ferguson, thanks for posting I always wanted a 560
That looks like an original IHC cultivator with the IHC adjustable shanks. You definitely have that dialed in. Cultivated a lot of corn ,potatoes and snap beans with one behind a Farmall 230 (yes it was a load for that tractor) then converted to three point and used an AC D-17. Loved cultivating and setting up the equipment to kill the weeds and not damage the crop. Thanks for sharing, brings back a lot of memories!
@@jasonwhitler4167 We had all the front end weights (front wheels) we could get on it, and it had an IHC front mounted cultivator (2 row cultivator) that we left on without any shanks or sweeps. You still had to be careful lifting that thing at the end of the row.
That 560 is wondering what happened to the rest of the cultivator. She's just playing and laughing. Great job and a great video. Thank you for sharing it with us 👍👍
What do you do when you get frequent rain showers, cloudy days, and the soil stays wet for weeks? The weeds dont stop growing, and the soil doesnt throw into the sides of the crop row, as yours does here to cover in row weeds.
Worst case we end up borrowing my uncle’s sprayer to knock out the weeds. We’ve only had a few really wet years where we couldn’t get into the field to cultivate. Generally if the soil has some moisture you can still do a good job cleaning up the rows, but as soon as you start seeing soil peeling/curling off the shovels you have to stop.
beautiful good old IH best tractor's ever made , i have a IH 674 and use her every day
That is one great tractor and I have not seen a rear cultivator in that good of condition in a very long time .
This one definitely hasn’t seen many acres. It does an alright job, but I prefer the old front mount cultivators we have on the H and F-20
great watching this
Always neat to see an "Old School" farming method being done. The Ol' 560 sounds good working away there. Keep up the good work there.
Doing a fine job , l👀king good too . Tractor ,cultivator ,and corn !

Wow I shocked it didn’t pick the front wheels straight in the air. The cultivator on the 560 makes the front pretty light

Hate to think how many acres I cultivated with a 560 and 6 row cultivator, your doing a fine job!
The 560 is doing a good job. Good looking field! The corn is coming up nicely. Have a good week! See ya!
Thank you!

We’d love to be able to cultivate more rows at a time! But we run a 4 row planter so that is the limiting factor. Thanks for watching!
NICE RED RIG !!!!!!
Nice

What is the row spacing? Love that cultivator. Also, wondering speed? Seems like your torking along quite fast.
Thanks for watching. We plant corn on 38” rows. Think my dad was running in 3rd with the TA forward. So probably 3-5 mph

Thanks for the response. Love that row cultivating..
Before spraying it was this...before this it was a horse...before that it was by hand....
I prefer to not weed by hand🤣 but most people would think this isn’t much better
Low overhead, probably no equipment loan payments yields ability to sleep well at nights and not require massive yields to pay off debt.
I have a real nice IH 4 row cultivator I would love to sale.
