  • Former U.S. Ambassador Victor Manuel Rocha spent decades spying for Cuba. Before Rocha there was Ana Montes, a Pentagon analyst who spent 17 years spying for Cuba.

      They are not reliable. Aldrich Ames passed lie detector tests on two different occasions. They don’t always catch people lying. They can also produce false suspicions.

      Maybe they let her free and let her go be with her family so that they can see who she's talking to and contacting that has anything to do with Cuba but certainly she would know she's being watched ... ?
      I think they should have kept her in prison .

      It shouldn't be hard to understand when our gov and intel agencies don't exactly live up to our values and ideals. What if you came of age as a citizen of one of the numerous Latin American countries whose democratically elected leaders were overthrown by US funded coup d'etats led by repressive strongmen coimpliant to US policy interests. You'd have a very different impression of what US "freedom" means when it comes at the expense of your freedom. To the rest of the world the lasting impression would be the hypocrisy.
