To think when I found you I was so nervous about starting my pro makeup/bridal/airbrush course and now I just rented my own studio space You have and continue to teach me so much about the business, the art, and beyond that- about confidence 💗🎇 thank you Julie 😊
I always look forward to your videos. My car was stolen over the weekend with my entire kit and gear in it. I lost all my makeup, airbrush, hair tools, camera, lighting, chair ect. I almost gave up. I didn't know how to move on and continue. But watching this reminded me how much I love my job and I'm going to try so hard to keep going and rebuild.
OMG I'm so sorry to hear that! That would definitely make me feel super down as well. However, it's awesome that you are holding your head up high and still continuing to push forward. I'm glad my video, if even for a minute, could lift your spirits :) I really hope that you find your car or at least able to hash things out with insurance and get your stuff back!
@Julie Ruby We did get my car back with our GPS tracking device, but my whole kit was of course gone. Insurance won't cover. That's fine. I've started to repurchase what I can as I have weddings coming. I've also invested in mini trackers to place in all my gear and kit. Highly suggest!
@@saraduvall4134 Oh that's amazing you were able to at least find your car! I'm so sorry to hear about your makeup kit :( In the future, it's nice to have business insurance for yourself and your products you carry with you! I just added up the total value of what I travel with so I'm covered in case that happens! Mini trackers is a nice idea, but for some reason if it's stolen.. usually you don't want to be messing around with the people that stole it lol
I really love how detail you go in when your setting the under eye and specific parts of the face with the smaller blending brush. This was so great to watch. Did you make a video on what kind of skin care you use for ur clients for before application..If I missed would love to take a look :) Your awesome girl I really enjoy your content!
Yay so glad to hear the you loved the video!! Yes, I am REALLY detailed and precise with applications just to have more control. I did make that video a few weeks back. Here is the link: ruclips.net/video/fh8S-mkOEi4/видео.html
I haven’t watched your vlogs in a while, last time I checked , you had 600 subscribers and now look at you, you got 6k! I see how much you’ve improved! Congratulations gurly. 😘😘
@@julieruby you’ve always been nice so I will always be your number 1 fan no matter how busy I am and even if you reached a million subs. Keep it up! ♥️♥️
Thank you so much Adrienne! I don’t remember which specific shades I used but I know the first client I used an eyeshadow from Seint which used to be Maskara Beauty and then the second was a Colourpop super shock shadow :)
Wow! ❤️ 🥰 . Do you also stay for touch ups like after ceremony and before the reception?.. ❤️❤️❤️. Great work ! Love how you organized everything from bridal party down to the bride .🥰 ❤️❤️❤️
@@julieruby I'm totally converting. I tried some demi wispy on my last client and was really disappointed. Lashes are a newer skill of mine (I've not yet mastered) thanks for sharing!
I am getting some liquid shadows and single shadows from sephora brand for the sale that look very promising for brides!! What do you use tho out of curiosity for a nice glitter or shimmer neutral eye for a bride
Hi Julie lovely video! I always look forward to your videos❤️. Do you ever have to hire hairstylist or multiple makeup artist for a party more than 5? Or you do you do makeup alone?
Hi thanks so much! Yes, if another artist is needed I'll definitely hire another one :) I have my go to that I work with! I don't hire out hairstylists I just recommend them for my brides. I like to work alone without employees or anything so we work as separate business still! I personally don't like to take more than 8 people alone so I'll do that many by myself. However, sometimes if timing is tight I'll hire on another person as well :)
@@julieruby thank you for always replying back! I’m sure taking on 8 alone you have to start super early! Do you charge a early morning fee if there ceremony starts like noon? Okay, recommending a hairstylist is good if they go along with it. I really need to find a reliable artist for the future. It’s so difficult for me.
@@julieruby thank you so much!! ❤️ can you share any advice on making makeup last/concealing dry, red noses on clients? Also, have you ever had a clients eyes water after eye Makeup application and how to properly fix it?
@@colleen1152 Sure! For make that may rub off, you can always take an eye primer and put it on those areas. It'll help the product not rub off and stick better. My favorite is using the MAC paint pots since they have a tint and dry down to a matte finish. For clients eyes watering, I haven't honestly found the best trick yet (not sure if there is one). All I do is just blot the wet areas, touch up with concealer & re-set with powder!

To be honest I’ve been freaking LOVING my Coloupop single eyeshadows lol then I use the Stila liquid shadows for glitters as well.
I have question which shimmer you had use for eyeshadow
Hi! Which person were you referring to for the shimmer?
