i find it funny how its overal looks like what todays ui google apps look like, but the logo is still stuck in the year 2008, where glossy, reflection and glass was the coolest graphical effect haha!
That could be because of enhanced security configuration, it can be disabled If that's not the issue than I'm not sure why, maybe try accessing the webpage on a modern browser and see if it loads?
Supermium is only the Chromium web browser, not something that can patch Electron (framework allowing apps to be built using Chromium APIs). I don't know if there is a custom up-to-date Steam client for Windows 7, so maybe you can search online to find one!
Supermium in itself isn't malicious, many people including myself have used it on Windows 8.1 and below, and it works correctly without me noticing a malware alert. If your AV flagged it, it's most likely a false positive, though it's best checking through VirusTotal. I've had the experience of a few false positives on Defender myself, so I understand how it feels! 😅
You will if you go to its website and update it from there, however I'm unsure if it has in-browser updates like Chrome or Edge do (as I haven't tried to do that yet)
@@wodnikszuwarex2129 yeah I know support was dropped for windows 7 and 8.1 all the way back in january 2023, so version 109 is the last version for them...
I don't know if it gets automatic updates, you can just go to website and download latest ver from there though if it doesn't have auto update I never tried updating it myself, so I don't know
This happened to me too earlier, try rebooting or installing it again Or if that doesn't work, then just search supermium in the search box and it should work. If that still doesn't work, then create a desktop shortcut and run it from that. Hope this helps!
The main thing that differentiates this browser from the others is that it ports the newest Chromium build to older Windows versions (8.1 and under), when the main Chromium browser source dropped them (and so did the majority of Chromium-based browsers).
yeah, it is fast, especially on devices that have 4gb of ram and over. As for reliable, it's as reliable as modern Chrome, since, in essence, this is modern Chrome made compatible with older Windows versions
and the one I mentioned has an Intel Atom CPU, which is even more low end so I have similar problems... (the OS sometimes freezes and doesn't work, and opening a web browser takes it a while, especially the Chromium-based ones)

yeah, true!
Thanks dude google no longer works in windows 7 :(
no problem!
(yeah, I had this problem myself on one of my laptops that runs Windows 7, so I'm lucky Supermium exists!)

Does steam work now? Or thats not how it works?

Windows Defender says Supermium is a potential threat, do I need to worry?

I do this process but it doesn’t appear at all anywhere, why is this happening? Am I supposed to do it manually or something?

I use it on my XP and 7 laptops
cool!
I use it on one of my 7 laptops as well!
What is so special in this browser? There are dozens of other chromium based browsers like Brave, Chromium, Vivaldi, Bromite and many more !
The main thing that differentiates this browser from the others is that it ports the newest Chromium build to older Windows versions (8.1 and under), when the main Chromium browser source dropped them (and so did the majority of Chromium-based browsers).
